“Fuck off,” Talon said. “You want to bring a fight to this?”

“No,” Johnny said. “We’re heading to our card game, Talon. If I wanted you dead, you’d be dead. I gave you the info. Make that happen and we’re square. Because I’m the one protecting Jethro. He’s a good listener. I’d hate to see him gone. But I could part ways if the price is right.” Johnny walked by Talon and his goons followed.

  Talon turned and whistled.

  Johnny froze and looked back.

“The price looks good to me,” Talon said.

“Okay then.” Johnny nodded. “Make whatever calls you need to make.”

Talon stood there long after Johnny disappeared.

He was going to have to make the call to have a married man... a father... a normal guy... get killed for past sins. All so he could seek revenge on the man who killed his own father.

  Will appeared. “You okay, Talon?”

  Talon scowled. “Fucking perfect.”

Talon was buzzed into a private room with thick glass and a metal frame embedded in the glass. Shatter proof. Probably bullet proof too.

He opened the door and was greeted with the loud thundering cheers of Eagle, Condor, and Falcon.

“Look at him in his new colors,” Falcon joked.

  “Fuck you, brother,” Talon muttered.

  The door shut behind them.

“We’re good here,” Eagle said and pointed to a camera in the corner. “Right now that’s showing nothing but a recording of an empty room.”

  “Perfect,” Talon said.

“How’s is going in here?” Condor asked.

“As expected,” Talon replied. “It’s messy, man. A lot of enemies in here. Other crews chomping to cut my fucking head off to get in a good word with their guys.”

“Look at you,” Eagle quipped. “A prized fucking possession, huh?”

“Something like that. How’s Fiona? Bret?”

“They’re good, brother,” Falcon said. “Rogue has been keeping an eye on them. Finally got them to go to the clubhouse. That kid is wild.”

“Like you,” Eagle said. “Jesus, the second I saw that kid I wondered—”

“But you didn’t say anything,” Talon said. “How the fuck did I not know?”

“Females,” Condor commented. “You were focused on her. But it doesn’t mater now. We’re here for a meeting, not to sip fucking tea and talk about our feelings and shit.”

“So get me up to speed then.” Talon raised a dark brow at him.

  “Same old shit,” Condor grumbled.

“Bratva... Dmitri,” Eagle added. “It’s not news that you’re in here, VP.”

“So he’s got eyes on me.”

“Lots of eyes. Thinks it’s a ploy. A decoy. Bargaining chip of some kind.”

“Meaning my chance to get near Grisha.”

  “That’s our guy?” Falcon asked.

“Yeah,” Talon said. “He’s not too high to be untouchable, but he knows enough to help us.”

“Question is, how do we get him to help us?” Condor asked.

“Once he meets Will,” Falcon said. “We’re going to kidnap him. Grisha. We’ll hold him and work the entire prison.”

“Christ,” Falcon exclaimed. “Start a war inside?”

“I want goddamn information,” Talon growled. “I want to know about the Bratva. About Hammer. About my father. That’s why I’m here. This is all tied together.”

  Everyone fell silent.

Eagle put his hands to the table and slowly stood up.

  “Prez?” Condor asked.

“We stand with our VP,” Eagle said. “If we can get a leg up on the Bratva, it’ll help us. Stay one step ahead and find a way to take care of this debt situation, thanks to Hammer. We’ve got enough protection on the inside to keep things safe.”

“And the outside?” Falcon asked. “Word gets out and a real war is going to explode.”

“We’ll be prepared for that,” Eagle stated. “Most of all, it shows true dominance to the Bratva. That this fucking club doesn’t get run over. Our own VP was willing to go inside and fucking kill the man who killed his father. And go after the Bratva.”

“Okay,” Condor said. “I’m in. I support it.”

  “Me too.” Falcon nodded.

  “There’s a catch,” Talon said.

  “What?” Eagle asked.

  “Johnny wants a favor.”

  “Johnny?” Eagle asked.

“You know Johnny, right?” Talon asked.

“Everyone knows Johnny. His demands are usually rough.”

“He wants a man named Jack taken out.”

  “That’s it?” Condor asked.

“This guy is a regular guy now,” Talon explained. “House, wife, kids...”

  “Shit,” Eagle grunted.

“He had been skimming the top of the cash pile.”

“That’ll do it.” Falcon nodded. “Fuck.”

“Yeah,” Talon said. “He paid it back and walked away.”

“But Johnny keeps that shit in his heart,” Eagle said.

“Why not just take him out himself?” Condor asked.

“For this reason,” Eagle stated. “He’s smart enough to keep guys around to kill later... used as bargaining chips for favors.”

“Look, I don’t give a shit what it takes here,” Talon said. “But I’m about to kill the man who killed my father. And to do that I have to kill some kid’s father.”

  “Don’t get soft,” Condor warned.

Talon jumped up and threw a punch. He slammed Condor in the nose.

A second later, Condor had a long, curved knife out, his wrist horizontal and ready to attack back.

“Step the fuck back!” Eagle ordered to Condor.

  Condor touched his nose.

“I’m not fucking soft,” Talon stated. “I’m telling you what needs to get done. And it’s kill for kill. The cycle never ends.”

“It never will, brother,” Falcon said. “We didn’t start this.”

“We’re just going to handle it,” Eagle added.

“I don’t want you to make the hit,” Talon said. “It should be me. I’m the one looking to get back at my father’s death.”

Condor curled his lip. “I’ll do it.”

  “No...”

“I said I’ll fucking do it. This is for the club. We kill this guy, we get in with Jack. That gets you to Jethro to avenge your father’s death. You get to Grisha. We have the upper hand for a little bit. Give me the name, address, anything else I need.”

Eagle grabbed Condor’s shoulder. “You sure, brother?”

“Fucking sure,” Condor said as blood still seeped from his nose. “I’ve killed before. My souls is stained. I ain’t got no kid, no steady woman. All I got is the Princes. I’ll fucking do it.”

He and Talon stared each other down.

Talon nodded. “Then it’s done. Another fate decided.”

“Don’t fuck with the reaper if you don’t want him to fuck back,” Eagle said as he motioned for the door.

Talon stood and watched his brothers leave the room.

At the last second before the door clicked shut, Eagle pushed it back open. “Hey, VP. Brought you someone else to talk to.”

Talon raised a brow. Who else did he need to talk to?

Eagle side stepped and there stood Fiona.

Fiona hated the entire prison thing. The big walls, the smell, the look of the floors, and the wild sounds everywhere. It was clean and organized but nothing about the place was that at all. Just watching the way the guards talked and acted around Eagle suggested to her that loyalty wasn’t to the clothes they wore. Which was a good thing. Because Eagle opened a door and there stood Talon. Standing there in a jumpsuit, looking rough and sexy.

  “Holy shit, sweetheart,” Talon said.

“We’ll be out front when you’re ready to leave,” Eagle called. “We can swing you about thirty minutes.”

  “Thank you.
Fiona swallowed the urge to cry as she hurried into the room. The door shut behind her as she jumped into Talon’s arms.

He squeezed her tight, groaning as he did so. “Oh, fuck, sweetheart...”

  “I hate this, Talon.”

Talon turned and sat her on the table. He cupped her face. “I hate this too. But you’re here right now.”

  “I am,” she said.

  “Where’s Bret?”

“He’s with Rogue. Safe. I promise.”

  “I believe you,” he said.

And with that, he pounced at her. One hand behind her neck, pulling her close for a kiss.

Their mouths touched and Fiona felt her body already ready to explode. Talon’s other hand wasted no time in touching the front of her jeans, tearing open the small button with such force she thought he was going to somehow pop it off completely.

She slid from the table and stood up as Talon’s vicious and strong hand opened her jeans and shot down the front of her panties. Her ass tightened as she thrust forward, begging for his touch. The tips of his fingers dipped between her legs, touching her wet folds, curling with more force, breaking her open.

Fiona gasped and put her head back.

Talon kissed her neck, teeth and tongue leaving their trail of claim to her skin.

That’s when Fiona noticed the camera on the wall.

By then, Talon’s fingers were moving wildly. In and out of her core. Her hips bucking as she gasped for air. His thumb masterfully pressing against her clit, twisting just enough to send pulses through her entire body. “Fuck,” she whispered. “Talon... camera...”

Talon growled and traced a line up her neck with his tongue. “Ah, sweetheart, that fucking thing is turned off. We’re okay here.”

Fiona looked at him. His fingers moving even faster now.

She let out deep breaths and groans.

This man was suddenly everything to her.

  The father of her son.

  The man pleasuring her.

  The outlaw protecting her.

Fiona then made her own move, coming forward to kiss him.

  They kissed harder than before.

She reached down and rubbed the thick bulge between his legs.

“Please, Talon,” she begged in between kisses.

Talon stepped back and eyed her up and down. “Take it off. Now.”

As Fiona hurried to kick out of her jeans and panties, standing naked from the waist down expect for her socks and shoes, Talon dropped the pants of his prison suit.

The sight of his bare and throbbing cock make Fiona bite her bottom lip.

He moved at her fast again, putting her back up on the table.

His hand came around and spread her legs open while his other hand guided his cock forward. Fiona felt the swell of his cock against her entrance and then her breath was stolen by the sudden and hard thrust from Talon. The pressure was so intense, she shut her eyes as they filled up with water.

Talon growled again and he went for her neck. He kissed hard but fucked harder. One hand secured at the small of her back, holding her steady while he slammed forward with thorough thrusts.

Fiona felt herself beginning to climax. She leaned back on the table in what she assumed was some kind of questioning room in the prison and grabbed the edges. She bucked forward and wrapped her legs around the back of Talon’s, pulling at him. Wanting more. Needing more. Feeling him thickening as he readied to let go next.

Talon slammed his hands hard to the table, making a loud boom that bounced off the walls. He towered over the table and Fiona, the stare in his eyes so dark and intense that it made Fiona uneasy for a few seconds. But it felt so good. If she was sleeping with the devil right now, then hell was certainly home.

As Talon gritted his teeth, Fiona started to pump herself faster at him. She felt him just seconds away and she didn’t want him to hold back. This wasn’t about making love or taking things slow. This was hard, fast, and wild. Their only time together in weeks and they wouldn’t have this again for a while.

She moved her hands from the table to the red shirt that was Talon’s only piece of clothing. Her hands clutched it tight as she pulled at him, pulling herself up.

  “Goddamn, woman,” Talon bellowed.

Their noises were feral. The hard smacks of his body colliding with hers. The breathless groans Fiona released. The wild grunts from deep within Talon’s throat. Until he was able to kiss her again. Their tongues battling but stopping when Talon finally started to come. Slamming harder than ever and holding there. The feeling to intense for Fiona that she began to climax one more time. Gasping as she did so, her thighs quivering, losing all control of her body.

She had to remain right there, right in the place, at the mercy of Talon.

Which wasn’t the worst place to be.

Talon slowly traveled his hands up along her body and touched her face.

They were still together as they caught their breaths, staring at each other.

  Talon’s fingers stroked her cheeks.

Fiona couldn’t help herself as she started to cry.

  CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE

Talon leaned against the wall with Fiona against him.

“You were pregnant when it all went bad,” he said.

  “Yes,” she whispered.

  “You never told me, sweetheart.”

“I couldn’t tell you. Not after what I saw.”

The feelings were intense. One second he was fucking Fiona on the table, the next he was mad at her for everything that happened. And yeah, she found him fucking another woman, but that was made up, an illusion. But a lie is still a lie, he figured.

But she had been pregnant at the time.

  Pregnant and scared.

And she took off to give to birth to Bret alone and raise him alone.

“That makes me a fucking shitty father,” Talon said. “And now I’m in prison.”

Fiona looked up at him. “I didn’t mean to tell you the way I did.”

  “I know.”

“We can talk about it when you get out. I’ll tell you everything you want to know.”

Talon nodded. “You’re strong, Fiona. Really strong.”

“I’m scared,” she confessed to him. “It’s not the same kind of scared I was back then but now it’s worse. I have Bret to protect and I feel as if evil is closing in. I can’t bear to lose him Talon, I just can’t.” She shook her head. “To lose him now would be like tearing my own heart out.”

“Don’t be. The club will look after both of you until I can get out. You won’t lose him or me not again, not like that. I’ll be out soon enough. And whenever you need that again... come visit.”

“Three times a day?” Fiona asked as she smiled.

Talon laughed. “You were always wild.” He gently kissed her and then walked to the door. He knocked three times and it opened right away.

  A guard stood there. “Done?”

  “We’re good. Where’s my crew?”

  “I’ll send them in.”

“And here I thought prison was scary,” Fiona said.

“Sweetheart, this isn’t a joke in here. It costs a lot for protection. And even then, it’s worth shit.”

  “Don’t tell me that, Talon.”

Eagle, Condor, and Falcon entered the room.

  “All set?” Eagle asked.

“Yeah,” Talon said. “Take care of that thing for Johnny and we move forward. And make sure Fiona and Bret are safe.”

“Done, VP,” Falcon said. “Rogue hasn’t left their side. Like a good loyal dog.”

“Good,” Talon said. He looked at Fiona and nodded. “Tell the kid I said hey. Tell him I’m on my vacation still and that everything is good.”

“He doesn’t know yet,” Fiona said. “I won’t tell him until you’re there.”

“Thank you, sweetheart.” Talon kissed her one last time and backed up to the table. He watched as Fiona led the way out of the room.

  The last thi
ng he saw before the door shut was the logo on the back of Falcon’s leather cut.

A skull, wearing a crown while wings were suspended it on either side.

The Princes of Hell MC logo.

That’s what all this was for. The freedom. The honor. The club.

And now it seemed like it meant more than ever.

Talon officially had a legacy to leave to his son.

It was noon the next day before Jonny sent word to Talon that he wanted a meeting. Talon and Will went to where they had gone before, to the place where Jonny held court. Again, Will stayed back and Talon walked over to where Jonny was waiting for him. He sat down at the table and stared at him.

Jonny was shuffling his deck of cards and then he began laying them out like he was going to play solitaire.

Still, Talon waited for Jonny to tell him what this meeting was all about.

Finally, Jonny played a black queen on a red king. Then he sat back and looked at Talon. “Rumor has it that a man named Jack had a terrible accident on his way home from work last night. Seems his car flew off the top of a cliff. Lots of damage and very little left after the car caught fire.” He shook his head. “Terrible way to die. Just imagine the terror he felt going off that cliff knowing there wasn’t anything he could do to prevent the crash at the end.”

  Talon still didn’t say anything.

Jonny paused and laid a red jack on the black queen. “Rumor also has it that Jack is missing a briefcase. A briefcase that no one including his wife seemed to know about. You see his secretary happened to see it in his trunk but there were no signs of it at the scene of the accident and no burnt remains of it found either.”

Talon remained silent as he knew nothing about the details of the job.

Jonny just stared at the cards in his hand for a moment before he announced, “Then I get a call from my attorney this morning, he said he had a special delivery at six a.m. He said it was the weirdest thing. When he got to his office, he found this package on his desk and when he opened it, he found this really nice leather briefcase. He searched the briefcase and found some very interesting paperwork inside. It seems Jack took even more money than I thought. And it wasn’t only my money he took. He’d been struggling only because if he wasn’t it would have tipped off the wrong men to his situation.” Jonny stopped talking and played his cards for a few minutes.
