“They loved you!” she chuckled. “My family loved all of you which is a great bonus. It means I can accept you fully without hesitation.” She held Duncan tightly. “I know you must be awesome to get my mother’s seal of improvement. I wasn’t sure that anyone would ever get that from her.”
“Now, it’s your turn to meet our families… not that I have any worries there since you’re a total charmer.”
She giggled and blushed even brighter, tugging every one of my heartstrings. I couldn’t wait until it was my turn to express how I felt, but as Megan shared a loving kiss with Duncan, Artemis was primed and ready. They had a very sweet bond, he was the first one to reach out to her, so I was happy to let him go first. To be fair, if it wasn’t for him helping her in the library that day when Connor kicked off, she might never have felt confident enough to open up to us and to show us all what an incredible woman she was. We would ever have known.
“Megan, I’m shyer than the other dragons,” Artemis declared while resting his forehead against hers so that he could really look into her eyes as he spoke. “And quieter. But you have brought me out of myself and made me much happier. The bond that I have with you has transformed me and made me so happy. I think that I might have loved you from the very first moment I laid eyes on you. I got a feeling that you were going to be important to my life, but I had no idea how much you were going to mean to me. I absolutely love you so much.”
My chest heated up and swelled with love as I watched them connect on a deeper level, but I couldn’t be patient for much longer. The emotions that I and Megan stirred up in the cave and continued to explore during our week in Ireland were putting me right on edge and I needed to express them. So, I stepped forward and interrupted, slightly pushing Artemis out of the way so I could finally let her know much I adored her.
“Oh, Megan, you know that you are something else.” I pulled her to me and smacked a kiss on her lips right in the middle of my speech. “You make all of us the best versions of ourselves, especially me. When I’m around you, I don’t feel a scrap of insecurity, I’m just happy. Carefree and over the moon. Your place is with us in our harem, facing a future with us as a team, and starting a family. I can’t believe how lucky we are to have you.”
“Really?” she whispered with happy tears in her eyes. “Because I think that I’m the lucky one. I got to meet four of the greatest guys on the planet, all of whom complete me in a different way. And you’re the most desired harem in the whole academy, but for some reason you chose me. I can hardly believe it.”
I kissed her once more, but as I did, I moved her towards the tent. The danger the world was over now, our love had finally been declared aloud, there was nothing holding us back from truly expressing our love. The last time we had explored one another’s bodies in the wonderful summer house, it was a little tentative because none of us knew how long the union would last, if someone was going to change their mind, but we had accepted one another now, and it was official. We had each other for the rest of our lives, so as I peeled clothing off with the help of Artemis, I knew that everything was going to be different and more intense, and I couldn’t wait for it.
I couldn’t wait for any of it with Megan, it was sure going to be a happy ever after, and what better way to celebrate the first day of the rest of your life than to be naked and in love?
