  Chapter Ten

  Waiting It Out

Approaching the very chamber that The Prophecy Destroyer is trapped in, Vog made sure that the necklace was still with him. He brought back in his boney wings that he had sprouted earlier. "Finally, I have arrived." He flew over and landed on the ledge that led to the three slots the necklaces were forged in. "Awaken Destroyer. I have brought you the final Shadow." Vog waited for The Prophecy Destroyer to appear. But he didn't. The stone slab that kept The Prophecy Destroyer locked up was still sealed shut. "Awaken Mighty Destroyer. The final Shadow is being presented to you!"

Vog approached the stone slab. He furiously pounded his fist against the stone slab, hoping to awaken The Prophecy Destroyer from his eternal slumber. "Awaken! The Shadow is here! The time to end them is now!" At one point he tried to bust down the stone slab, but the rock it was made of didn't crack.

The Prophecy Destroyer still had not been freed from his prison. Vog lifted off of the ground, floating up and away from the chamber. He noticed The Dark Sun still being out. "The Dark Sun. It must be keeping him locked away. What's the point if the Shadows are defenseless, you can't even destroy them?" He looked back down at the chamber. "He must awaken now! We have the upper hand! The boy is powerless and does not even have the Shadow!"

A few rain drops started descending from the sky. They fell onto the bones that Vog wore, sliding off with ease. He glared angrily at the chamber. Vog had a feeling that The Prophecy Destroyer was watching him, wanting to escape and destroy the Shadow, but could not. Yet again, a problem arose in his seemingly perfect plot. He would wait out The Dark Sun's last remaining hours, hoping that nothing would disrupt his plans.
