The breeze picked up sharply, blowing her hair from her shoulders, and bringing with it a familiar stench of blood and rot and dead things. Not Angharad. More like.…
Her heart sank.
A Tiyanak towered over her. No glamour or pretense covered its hideous form. Worse, it wore a red ribbon tied in a neat bow around its wrist. It hissed, “My, my, the little fae has been busy. Has she found time for the Tiyanak’s bargain?”
