“What else?” Tey said.
“She is struggling, worried about Reggie. She has not seen him since they took her.” Jo said.
Casey cried a little when she heard her twin had not been seen in the months they had been gone. When he was taken, he had been in a coma. “Mother, who the fuck do I need to talk to in order to get the hell out of here? Ruby and I both need a change of clothes and other stuff.” Reggie said demandingly. “Young man, I don"t like the tone you are taking with me. Everything I have done, I have done for you.” Barbara whined from the couch. She was still in the same spot as when he left earlier.

“We need to talk about that.” His mother said looking around the room, so she would not have to look him in the eyes.

“Fine, now listen, your father, and I had a difference in opinions. He told the Master that he was going to do what had to be done, but when push came to shove, he did not mean it. Your father was too worried about her and what her new friends would think.” Barbara sneered. “I showed him though. I told the Master what he was thinking and planning. As if he could get away with going to Oliver and telling him what we planned all those years ago.”
“I am only going to ask you one more time, mother. Then it is going to get ugly, old woman. Explain what is going on right now, or so help me.” Reggie said and stepped forward only to feel his mate"s hand restrain him a little. Who was he becoming?
“You father made his own bed. I have no clue where he is. You will have to ask the Master when he gets here. The guards said he would be here shortly.” Barbara sniffed and then stood and patted her hair. “I am going to make tea and cookies for our company, you, and your mate should freshen up. You are a mess, and I can smell you.”
“Fuck you.” Reggie growled and paced the floor while his mother left the room in a snit.
Ruby watched him closely; he started to get a little worried that he scared her, until he noticed the small smile on her face. “What?”
“Nothing, well, it is just that I never got to actually meet you when you came to town.
Then you were in an accident, and we were kidnapped, and you know what happened when you woke up. This is the first time I have seen you upright. How much longer was he going to have to wait? Alpha Quin said they would be here only a few hours ago, but time seemed to practically stand still as he waited for the wolves to get here from Milliken. Levi had no idea what to expect, but he sure as hell was going to have to hold his temper if he wanted to go. If he had his way, he would have gone to the warehouse district hours ago when he first heard that was where his mates were being held. Pacing across the lobby of the Pack headquarters, he paused with each pass to look out the front windows to see if anyone had pulled up yet. He knew that this was driving the guards in the lobby nuts, because he could hear them growl when he passed their desk.

Levi turned to look at his friend. He had been at the fight in Milliken and been wounded. The Alphas sent him back to headquarters with orders that he was on desk duty until he fully healed. Hearing the stories, he felt a little guilty that he had been looking for his mates when his brothers-in-arms had been fighting. But the Alphas understood, as did the rest of the Council.
