2. There is a wonderful little coffee table book called LOST IN TRANSLATION: An Illustrated Compendium of Untranslatable Words from Around the World by Ella Frances Sanders. Not all of Keaton’s untranslatable words are in here, but most are. It’s a sweet little book.
3. The word that Keaton didn’t know how to pronounce is: Mamihlapinatapei. According to Wikipedia, it is listed in the GUINNESS BOOK OF WORLD RECORDS as The Most Succinct Word. A Yaghan noun, defined in the book LOST IN TRANSLATION as: A silent acknowledgement and understanding between two people, who are both wishing or thinking the same thing (and are both unwilling to initiate).
