He pulled Aurelia into his arms and focused only on her joyful face. As he slid the two-carat rose-gold ring, with bar-set princess-cut rubies on either side of the center-mounted canary diamond, on her delicate finger, he said, “I love our crappy timing, and I love you, babe. I hope today is everything you have ever dreamed of.”
“It’s already surpassed my wildest dreams.” She went up on her toes to kiss him and said, “You’ve surpassed my wildest dreams. I love you, Ben, and I can’t wait to see what forever has in store for us.”
