With each thrust I give Emerson, she cries out in pleasure as her pussy quivers around me.

“Who do you belong to?” I grind out as I power into her.

  “You,” her response is instant.

“Damn right, you do, baby. You’re mine. This body belongs to me just as much as your heart,” I tell her before leaning down to claim her mouth. The way Emerson clenches my dick, I can’t hold back much longer. Moving a hand between us, I flick her clit and that’s all I need. She screams into my mouth as she comes, soaking my dick. Three thrusts later, I lift my head and roar out her name.

As the last of my cum leaves my body, I shiver at the intensity. I’ve never in all my life come as hard as I did just now.

Not wanting to crush Emerson yet not ready to pull out of her, I roll the two of us until she’s straddling my waist. With her head lying on my chest, we both try to catch our breath.

Emerson finally breaks the silence. “That was amazing.”

“Fuck yeah, it was,” I murmur.

Lifting her head enough to look down at me, she asks, “Want to take a nap, then do it again?”

“We can do that shit anytime you want, babe.” Smiling, I thrust into her, causing her to moan.

“Good, then hold me while I take a nap. I think if we do it again now, you and your big dick might just split me in two.” I can’t help but laugh at her.

“Well, then lay your head down and go to sleep. I’m not moving from this spot. I like having my dick deep inside you,” I say, giving her a smirk.

Giggling, Emerson shakes her head, yawns, and lies against me. “Don’t mind if I do,” she says.

Kissing the top of her head, I grab the blanket and cover the two of us up. As her breathing evens out, I lay there, enjoying the feel of her body connected to mine. This right here, I’ll die before ever losing.

Emerson isn’t just my world, she’s my whole damn universe, and I’ll be damned if I let that nightmare become a reality.

No, it’s time for me to let the real Hades out to play. The one who truly sits on the throne.

  Emerson

Three days. That’s how many days Hades and I were able to stay cooped up away from the world. God, I wish we could have stayed surrounded in our own little bubble longer. However, Hades got a text informing him they were having church this afternoon as well as another message from one of the prospects about his room being cleaned with a new mattress and all.

I didn’t want to leave the hotel. In fact, I wish I could’ve stayed encompassed within Hades’ arms without having to worry about what happens next. These last three days, we talked and laughed in between exploring each other’s bodies. I never realized what I was missing out on when it came to sex with someone. The orgasms are . . . well, there is no word for me to describe them. Is it like this for other people when they have sex with strangers or someone they don’t love? Or is it the fact that I'm completely in love with a man who can melt me from the inside out?

Sighing, I shake my head to prepare myself to face the music. When I say music, I mean my sister. This is not going to be fun. She and I are cut from the same cloth, so I know the two of us are about to really have it out, which I don’t want. Nevertheless, it’s inevitable with everything that’s happened recently.

“You ready, Precious?” Hades asks as he pulls his boots on.

“If I say no’, can we stay here?” I ask in return while grabbing my jeans off the floor.

“Sorry, baby, I’ve got church and I ain’t about to leave you alone.” Standing, he comes close enough to snag me around my waist, bringing me flush against his chest. Looking up into his face, I can tell something’s bothering him. As I go to ask, he stops me by leaning down to kiss me deeply.

When he lifts his head, he swats my ass, causing me to jump. “Finish getting dressed, babe. As much as I love your tits, I don’t need you showing them off to everyone else,” he says, giving me his shit-eating grin when I throw him a glare.

“Fine,” I huff and throw his hoodie over my head before grabbing a hair tie. Bending at the waist, I hear Hades groan. Glancing behind me, I smile at the sight of him adjusting himself while staring at my ass. Yeah, two can play that game. Want to smack my ass? I’ll tease you with a full-blown view of it and even shake it. Inwardly laughing, I scoop my hair up into one hand and use the tie in the other to put it in a messy yet stylish bun on top of my head. Straightening back up, I move to put my shoes on and finish getting ready before turning to face Hades. “I’m ready.”

“Then let’s get out of here. Any longer and I’ll have you bent over that bed and fuckin’ you till you’re screaming the entire hotel down.”

“Hmm, I like the sound of that.” I can’t stop from moaning in anticipation of having Hades inside me again.

“Don’t do that shit right now, baby. We gotta get moving. I promise, I’ll have your pussy filled soon as we get through with church.” Looking into his eyes, I find them darkened with lust.

“Okay, okay, let’s go.” Groaning, I head for the door. Taking a deep breath, I open it knowing this is when my bubble will burst, and it’s back to the cold hard real world. Ugh, why can’t life be all sunshine and daisies? Well, because of the fact that life just ain’t fair.

The ride to the clubhouse seemed to take longer than it did when we left three days ago. Maybe it’s because I’m dreading going inside. I’m not looking forward to having to see the two clubwhores. I don’t want to see them gloating about being able to get under my skin. Or think I’m weak. That was a mistake I won’t be making again. After spending time alone with Hades, I don’t have any doubts lingering in my head that he hasn’t been with them. In fact, the more I think about it, that one whore has been trying to get me to leave since I came to the clubhouse with Connors the first time.

The feel of Hades tapping my thigh draws me from my thoughts. “Hop off, Precious. Everything will be fine,” he says gently. I’m sure he can feel the tension building inside me.

Sighing, I climb off and wait for him to stand. Without any more words, he takes my hand and brings it to his lips before leading me into the clubhouse. Here goes nothing, I tell myself as he opens the door.

“Good, you’re here” are the first words out of Steph’s mouth when she spots me and Hades walk in.

Sighing, I give Hades’ hand a squeeze before letting it go. “Alright, Steph, let’s have it,” I say quietly.

“Where would you like me to start?” she asks, crossing her arms over her chest.

“Doc, maybe you should leave it,” Cleo suggests from where she was sitting at a table next to my sister.

“I have to agree, at least for now. Emerson just got here,” Izzy says.

“Why?” Lynsdey says, her eyes narrowing toward me.

“Look, I get it, okay. I realize everyone here is either pissed or doesn’t want me here. So just either say what you wanna say, get it out of your system, or leave it be,” I huff. This whole thing is becoming rather annoying if I’m being honest. My life isn’t any of their business. Not even my sister’s. I love her and would do anything for her, but some things just need to be left alone.

“Oh, I’m more than pissed. My emotions are all over the place, and I feel like my sister abandoned me when I needed her the most. I mean, seriously, I get it, you were kidnapped, escaped somehow that I don’t even know the full story of yet, and then locked yourself in the man’s room who all you did before everything went down was bitch at. What all am I supposed to think? Then on top of that, when you finally come out of his room, you sneak out. Don’t talk to me for days.” She stops to take a breath. “You know how much it hurt that I didn’t get to tell you I was pregnant at Christmas when I told Logan? Shit, that’s another thing I’m pissed about. You’ve completely ignored your nephew since all this started. And don’t let me get started on the fact after I coerced you to come back here, what did you do when you saw Hades for the first time? You ran. Turned your phone off and
ran like a wuss instead of being an adult.”

Unable to take it anymore, I scream out, “I get it! I know I’m nothing but a selfish bitch.”

“I think you all need to step back . . . ” Hades starts to say.

I interrupt Hades before he can finish. “You don’t have to tell me something I already know. Everything you’ve just said I’ve told myself a hundred times already. I mean, it’s bad enough dealing with everything happening in my head. But when I have you all looking at me like it’s my fault Hades was taken, clubwhores telling me I don’t belong, and the guys looking at me with eyes filled with pity, I can’t take it. I can’t. I get I should have been here for you and for that, I’m sorry.”

“Well, sorry doesn’t always mean anything,” Steph spits out.

“That’s enough,” Hades snaps as he tries yet again to stop the argument. Glancing around the room, I find everyone is there, taking in the drama unfolding in front of them.

“No, Hades, it’s not enough. She doesn’t realize what could have happened to you,” Lynsdey speaks up.

“Babe, stay out of this,” Thorn says, grabbing hold of Lynsdey’s arm.

“Let her say her piece, Thorn. I get it. She’s pissed at me for putting her family in harm’s way. However, before you say another word, you don’t know jack shit about me or what all I’ve been through. About the things I’ve kept from everyone. Even Hades doesn’t know the extent of what they did to me. Sure, Hades kept me safe while we were in the building together. But those assholes did hurt me, far worse than you all know. I might not have been beaten the way Hades was, but I was forced to watch as they punched, kicked, even whipped him as they called him names like pet and toy. Timothy said he was picked to take my punishments, and I needed to watch. If I didn’t, it would be worse for not just him but myself. You wouldn’t fuckin’ understand what it means to be called one of the Chosen. ‘For those who are meant to be a bride to our lord.’ That’s what they kept saying to me the moment Hades would be knocked out.” By the time I stop, I realize I’d been screaming the entire time. The hush of the room is deafening.

Glancing around the room, I find the women looking at me in horror and the men’s faces are a picture of fury.

Turning completely toward Hades, I find his face is filled with more than fury. His eyes seem to be filled with rage before going stoic. Almost as if a switch in him has been flipped.

“What did I just do?” I whisper as he walks away without saying a word.

“You just unleashed the devil himself,” someone behind me murmurs ever so quietly.

Closing my eyes, I suck in a breath. That’s what I didn’t want to do.

He doesn’t realize I know about his nightmares he’s been having each night, but I know, and I’ve just pulled the trigger to the Gates of Hell and I don’t know if they can be closed.

  Hades

Motherfuckin’ hell. When I get my hands on those fuckers, I will not only burn them, I will obliterate them until they’re nothing but ash. Slamming the doors, I need to let off some steam. I’m sure stalking away from Emerson the way I did hurt her, but I couldn’t stand there and hear anymore. Right now, I’m not any good for her. At least not until I can regain some control. Her words, along with the nightmares I’ve been having, are more than I can take at the moment.

“Brother, you need to calm down.” Twister calls out from behind me.

Spinning around to face him, I find all my brothers with him. “Calm down? Prez, how the fuck am I supposed to do that? You heard what was just said, same as everyone else. Those fuckers have done nothing but fuck my life up since I was a kid, and you want me to calm the fuck down. Not happenin’.” Roaring, I turn back on my heel, unsure of where I’m going.

“We may not know all of what you’re feeling, but I do know a piece of it. Remember, this is the same group that took my ol’ lady. Might not be the same people, but they’re all the same, in my opinion. We all saw what they put Lynsdey and Cleo through. My woman still suffers from nightmares,” Thorn says.

Thorn’s words have me stopping. I don’t turn back toward them, though. My breathing is erratic and I’m doing my best to get it under control.

“Come on, Hades. We’ll handle this as we always do. We’re family. We have each other’s backs,” Twister states, followed by murmurs of agreement.

Closing my eyes, I take a deep breath and turn to face them all. “When we go after them, I intend to make them all pay. The entire lot of them,” I announce.

“We got your back,” Horse declares, nodding his head.

“We ride through hell to get to the other side,” Twister says, holding his fist out in front of him. “And we do it together,” he finishes, and each one of my brothers yells the same at the top of their lungs.

Giving them a knowing look, I repeat the same words before looking between my brothers. “Question, though, why have the women been pissed with my woman,” I ask.

“Long ass story, brother,” Thorn mutters as he clamps a hand down on my shoulder. “Let’s grab a bottle of Jack and head to church. We’ll fill you in on everything in there.”

“Agreed,” Twister grumbles. “This is something to be discussed over fuckin’ liquor and more than just one bottle.”

Nodding, we all head back inside to find the main room silent. No one in sight but the new prospect Mac behind the bar. My mind automatically goes straight to my woman. I should probably go check on her.

“Prospect, where did my ol’ lady and the rest of the women go,” I ask.

“They all went in there,” he responds, pointing in the direction of the kitchen.

I head to go in, but Dragon stops me. “Let them talk, brother. They need to make things right and if you go in there, it could make things worse,” he rasps.

Running a hand through my hair, I nod in agreement.

“Alright, let’s get to it. Prospect, hand me a bottle of Jack and Jim,” Twister orders as he slams a fist down on the bar top. “And tell the women when they come back in here, we’re in church and not to fuckin’ come barging in on us.” I can’t help but smile at the fact the ol’ ladies seem to have a habit of interrupting us when we’re having a meeting.

“Yes, sir,” Mac says as he grabs the two bottles of liquor and hands them over.

Without another word, we leave the prospect to it.

Walking into the room we hold church, I take my seat, unscrew the top of the bottle of Jack, and take a swig before passing it over. “Let’s hear it,” I say.

“Take another swig first,” Thorn says, pushing the bottle back toward me. Lifting it up, I put the lip of the bottle to my mouth and take several heavy draws of the burning liquid. Placing the bottle back on the table, I focus on Thorn. Whatever’s going on, seems he’s the one I need to ask.

Silently, I wait for Thorn to begin. When his eyes focus on my own, I can tell this is eating him alive on the inside. “I’m just gonna say it. Lynsdey is your cousin,” he blurts out.

“Come again?” I ask, unsure I heard him right.

“Lynsdey, she’s your cousin,” he says again.

“How the hell is that possible? I’ve never even met her before . . . ” I stop when it hits me. She could be related to me through my mother’s side of the family. Clearing my throat, I need to know exactly how. “Explain.”

Gadget slides a photo to me and I look at it. Sure enough, it’s my mom and dad with another couple. You can see the resemblance between the woman and my mom. Focusing more on the couple, I know these two are Lynsdey’s parents. She doesn’t seem to take after one or the other, simply has features of them both.

“Lynsdey’s mom and yours were family. From what I found out from Hammer when he and your dad helped your mom, they also helped hers. However, after Lynsdey’s mom left to find her own freedom, guess she did for a little while. Hammer knows more than we do. Said when you’re ready, he will talk to you, Ally, and Lynsdey about it. Now, as for the women being angry wit
h her, they didn’t know the full facts and were upset over you being gone,” Twister says.

It takes me a good minute to let that information sink in. Lynsdey is related to me. A cousin I’ve known since moving here. If fate ain’t a bitch, then I don’t know what she is. Fuck. Thinking back to the hell she went through when her stepbrother targeted her, it seems they have it out for my family.

Shit. I inwardly curse as I realize who the third woman was in my nightmare. It’s her. She’s one of the Chosen.

“What’s going on in that head, brother?” Horse asks.

Rubbing a hand down my face, I exhale a breath I didn’t even realize I’d been holding and lean forward, resting my arms on the table. Glancing around, I look at each one of my brothers and soak in the knowledge these men will always have my back. No matter how pissed I wanna be with the fact they kept this information from me, I can’t. Not when there’s more important shit right now we gotta discuss.

“The last few nights, I’ve had these nightmares. Though I’ve been keeping them away from Emerson, I’m sure she suspects me of having them. But anyways, the nightmares, they don’t feel like nightmares, more like a memory or prediction ‘cause I sure as fuck don’t remember them saying any of the shit like in the dreams I’ve been having, but it doesn’t mean they didn’t. I wouldn’t put it past those assholes to have drugged me with something. I don’t know.” I pause for a moment. “They have these women from a certain bloodline they claim are the Chosen. There are originally five families that I know of. Ally might know more about this since she’s lived it most of her life and is classified as one of these women.”

“What does it mean to be one of these women?” Burner asks.

“Means they are to become brides to the leader who claims he can speak directly to their lord. And if Lynsdey is my cousin, then she is one of these women. Same as Emerson. Each Chosen is a first-born female into these families,” I mutter.
