6. Let your smile change the world: “In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father” (Matthew 5:16).
7. Commit acts of random kindness: “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45).
8. Shake the hate: “ ‘But to you who are willing to listen, I say, love your enemies! Do good to those who hate you. Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you’ ” (Luke 6:27–28).
9. Remember that a friend’s a friend forever: “A friend loves at all times” (Proverbs 17:17, NIV).
10. Respect relationships: “ ‘Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you’ ” (Matthew 7:12).
11. Don’t let five seconds of awkward cause a lifetime of regret: “Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity” (1 Timothy 4:12).
12. Don’t forget that stress causes a mess: “Don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today” (Matthew 6:34).
13. Do something: “What good is it, dear brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but don’t show it by your actions? Can that kind of faith save anyone? Suppose you see a brother or sister who has no food or clothing, and you say, ‘Good-bye and have a good day; stay warm and eat well’—but then you don’t give that person any food or clothing. What good does that do? So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless” (James 2:14–17).
14. Be the best you that you can be: “You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed” (Psalm 139:13–16).
