Crashing In On Love Page 19

“Basically, you’re telling me that for our anniversary you bought me a resort.”

  “Technically I-”

“You bought me a resort!” Mika launched herself at him pulling him down for a kiss at the same time she went up on her toes. Not surprisingly, the kiss spiraled out.

When Robert palmed his wife’s ass, Ben cleared his throat over a laugh.

“Why don’t we get you two over to your room?” Ben alerted staff that had been standing back. “I’ll let you get settled in and rest. Around four, I can show you two around, introduce you to folks and then we can have an early dinner if that sounds good.”

“Yeah, that’s good all right.” Robert pronounced. Though it was clear he wasn’t talking to them, as he still stared down into his wife’s happy eyes.

“My stingy lover bought me a resort! And I’m getting a cat!”

Mika fairly shouted as a golf cart pulled up to take them to their private villa. Robert hooked an arm around her shoulders and started walking away.

“There’s the princess I know and love, never satisfied.”

TAMARA AND BEN WITH a still excited Boa, walked over to a pair of wicker chairs spread out around the lobby.

“Well, their first year seems to be going well.” Tamara gave her opinion, as she sat.

“That’s an understatement.” Ben chuckled. “I have a feeling they’re about to go reenact their honeymoon.”

Laughing, Tamara nodded in agreement. “Yep, though I had a feeling they would make it.”

“You did? I did too but I’m surprised at you. The ‘jaded’ divorce attorney.”

“I could see how they accepted the real person standing in front of them. And still they were madly in love with each other. I was actually thinking that thought when I turned and saw you.”

She took his hand across the table between them.

“Is that right?” He brought her hand up for a kiss. “You want to know the real reason why I decided to go into business with him?”

  “Why?” She asked softly.

“I felt like the world was trying to tell me something. Like I was coming full circle. It was here that I meet you at their wedding, on the same day I was making a long-held dream come true. I stopped by that tent because I heard a brother, pouring his heart out to his soon to be life partner. It made me wonder if I would ever feel that deeply for someone.”

Smiling warmly, she squeezed his hand. “I am so glad that I crashed that wedding.”

  “Finally, she admits it!”

Ben shouted so loudly Boa barked and Tamara outright laughed.

“When fate reconnected me with the man whose wedding and words led me to you, who had a good solution to my problem, I went for it. I pride myself on knowing when an excellent opportunity presents itself.”

“It does feel like serendipity, doesn’t it?” Tamara pondered. “Their love called to us and drew us together.”

“It did.” Ben declared. “Then we found our own love. We’ll be just as happy a year after we get married.”

“Oh, I know we will, my island man.” Tamara affirmed. “I have no doubt.”

They looked out into the beautiful garden view of the property, at the beginning of the legacy they were building. Content in knowing this was just the beginning. Boa rested her head on their joined hands, rounding out their family.
