Keatyn Unscripted (The Keatyn Chronicles Book 8)

Page 55

by Jillian Dodd

  “Lose Control” by Wiz Khalifa

“It’s been better than I could have scripted.”

  The Scene: My supposed rebound.

Is Keatyn ever in control with Dawson? LOL. This is a sweet scene where Dawson asks her out.

“Comin’ in Hot” by Hollywood Undead

“Keatyn, be a pal. Go across the hall and find us something yummy.”

  The Scene: Hearting me.

A late night dorm party in Aiden’s room. Fun party song about drinking.

“You’re My Song” by A Rocket to the Moon

“Are you saying I wasn’t a believable prince?”

The Scene: Be a rock star.

Fun song about a girl inspiring a guy’s music. Since Damian and Keatyn are so close, she’s inspired many of his songs. I love their friendship.

  “Alive” by Krewella

“I could stay up here all night. Dance. Talk. Pretend to be someone else.”

  The scene: Your arm candy.

This is another girl power song for Keatyn. She’s been brave and tried out for the play. And she feels like it’s brought her back to life, or is it just because Aiden puts his hand on her knee?

“Downtown Girl” by Hot Chelle Rae

“For the first time in my life, it feels okay to want to blend in.”

  The Scene: An Eastbrooke Girl.

A fun song for the scene where Keatyn and the girls try on Homecoming dresses. Keatyn has always been big on standing out (and does) but it’s cute that in this scene she wants to blend in.

  “Radioactive” by Imagine Dragons

“I think they’re still after us.”

  The Scene: An Eastbrooke Girl.

Vincent and Keatyn see each other while shopping in New York, and he chases her through the streets. This song has a scary vibe, and I see it being from Vincent’s point of view.

  “Dirty Talk” by Winter Gordon

“Now for the fun part. I get to lick it all off.”

  The Scene: Hot tub naked.

Dawson licking sugar off Keatyn. And she likes it. This is a song that basically talks about all the places they do it. Which fits them.

  “Hey Porsche” by Nelly

“He pushes me up against the door and gives me a hot kiss.”

  The Scene: We’re definitely not.

Sexy Dawson song. He just wants to slide under and work on her.

“Rolling Stones T-Shirt” by Dada Life

“It’s really hot that I’m kissing you while you’re wearing my team jersey.”

  The Scene: A little skimpy.

More Dawson and Keatie sexy times. This time she’s wearing his team jersey and nothing else. And he likes that.

“Give Me Your Hand” by The Ready Set

“I did it for all the people that I love. Did you love it?”

  The Scene: Catcalls.

Finally, another Aiden song and another one of my personal favorites. Can you just see this from Aiden’s point of view? Aiden just performed a dance at the Mr. Eastbrooke contest and won. He wanted to only do a cheer like the other guys. He can dance well, but is embarrassed by that fact. Keatyn had told him he should only care what the people he loves think. They have a moment where he tells her he did it for the people he loves. (Meaning her!) And this song is so adorable. He’s all pumped up from winning, and he just wants her to take his hand and be with him.

“Kisses Down Low” by Kelly Rowland

“That dress has been driving me crazy.”

The Scene: Nothing says party like a red solo cup.

Very sexy Dawson and Keatyn in the hotel room after Homecoming song. The title pretty much tells you everything you need to know.

“Life of the Party” by Bex

“Girls, it’s time to get this party started!”

The Scene: Nothing says party like a red solo cup.

The perfect song to get the girls dancing and the party going at the Homecoming after party. And we all know Keatyn is the life of the party!

“I’m Not Your Boyfriend, Baby” by 30H!3

“I come back and she’s making out with him.”

  The scene: Tigger with boobs.

Poor little Dallas. He took Katie to Homecoming, she got drunk and started making out with Tyrese. Not cool. This song is from his point of view. He doesn’t want to just be her sex toy.

  “Secrets” by OneRepublic

“I feel bad that I’ve lied to him about things.”

The Scene: I’ll tell him everything.

Keatyn decides to trust Dawson with the truth. She’s going to take him to meet her parents.

  “Feel This Moment” by Pitbull

“When I get my life back, I’m not going to let anything stop me.”

The Scene: Shut up and look pretty.

Keatyn is exhilarated by being up on stage in the play, and she’s definitely feeling the moment.

  “Fall” by He is We

“A that’s what you wanted all along.”

  The Scene: Second-guess myself.

The Dawson and Keatyn break-up song. She finally let him in and gave him a piece of her heart and now she’s done. Broken up by a two-word text.

“Top of the World” by the Cataracs

  “Drinking champagne. Being naughty.”

The Scene: Looking good is the best revenge.

The perfect song for the revenge video she makes with Riley and Dallas. Great beat. Talks of dancing, drinking, being on a trip, going for a ride. Can’t you just picture it?

  “Down” by Jay Sean

“Lying on his chest makes me feel like no matter how things seem, it will all be okay.”

The scene: Surf the crowd with me.

A song about how Damian is always there when she needs him.

“Get Away with Murder” by Jeffree Star

“I’ve been looking all over for you.”

  The Scene: Now we match.

This is the scene where she has to dance with Vincent in the Miami club. It’s a creepy techno song that so fitting of when he makes their tattoos touch like they are making love.

“Swimming Pools (Drank)” by Kendrick Lamar

“I’m leaning toward bad girl. Carefree. Emotionless.”

  The Scene: Revenge sex.

Party song. The night Keatyn drinks way too much to prove to Dawson that she doesn’t care about him.

“Light Up The Sky” by Yellowcard

  “Open your eyes, silly.”

The scene: Learn to love yourself.

I couldn’t wait to team this song up with this scene. It’s so fitting since he lit up her sky with the glow-in-the-dark stars. It’s also a song that I consider being from Aiden’s point of view. You just have to listen to these lyrics. Knowing that he knew at this point who Keatyn really was and that she was lying. Oh, swoon. The lyrics talk of her choices, of her fight, and how he would save her. You’ll be smiling. Trust me.

  “Kiss You” by One Direction

“I’m thinking no one has ever kissed me the way you do,” I answer honestly. And surprisingly. Why the hell did I just say that?!

The Scene: A wonderful sense of powerlessness.

Another adorable song from Aiden’s point of view. He wants Keatyn to tell him she wants him. That she feels it, too.

“Let’s Go” by Calvin Harris ft. Ne-Yo

“Every time you kiss me, you move your hips into me, and you keep making those sexy little noises. I don’t know how much more I can take.”

The Scene: I need some cake.

This song has a few of Brooklyn’s words of advice in it about how it doesn’t matter where you’ve been. And she and Dawson definitely go. A lot. LOL

“Take Me Home” by Cash Cash

“Promise me that when this is over, I’ll get another chance.”

  The Scene: T
he perfect ending.

Oh, this song makes me cry. It speaks so much of Keatyn and Brooklyn’s relationship, how she’s falling apart, how he hurt her, but she just wants him to take her home. She desperately wants to go home. Love this song. Listen to the lyrics. They might help you understand why she can’t give up on him.

“Love Like Woe” by The Ready Set

That’s what it’s like with Aiden. When he kisses me, I feel like I can see our future. It’s like he has the power to send me mental messages with his mouth.

  The Scene: Can kisses speak?

Adorable Aiden and Keatyn song. Aiden’s point of view. There’s even a star reference. He needs her to give him a chance! It also speaks of how they are so up and down.

“Here’s to Never Growing Up” by Avril Lavigne

“Jeez, you don’t have to try and seduce the entire school your first night here.”

The Scene: You’re like my idol.

Braxton is at Eastbrooke and partying at the Cave. And drunk. Remember the puking incident where he throws up on the girl he likes, and she projectile vomits back at him? All while Keatyn is trying to get them back to the dorms without getting caught.

  “C’Mon” by Ke$sha

“We should study fairy tales and happy endings,” he says, pulling me into his arms and giving me a fiery kiss.

  The scene: A fiery kiss.

Jake and Keatyn in the moonlight. He’s telling her that she’s not feeling it. They’ve all been partying. And you can’t help but wonder as he kisses her under the moon if he really is the Good Prince. (I also may have put that scene in there to confuse people a little about who would be Moon boy. Tee hee.)

  “Take Me” by Tiesto

“Yes. I want you back in my life, Keats. I need you back in my life.”

The Scene: Wrapped around her little finger.

Another Brooklyn and Keatyn song. They’ve been through so much. He’s off somewhere foreign. She just wants him to take her with him. For things to be normal. She wants her life back.

“Tonight is the Night” by Outasight

He runs a finger across my stomach. “Pretty good, yes. Amazing, no. But we have all night. I’m going to have to prove it to you.”

The Scene: Does he make you hot?

Keatyn goes home with Riley for his birthday and, of course, Dawson is there. And, whoo, is this a sexy night for him and Keatyn. This is from Dawson’s point of view. And we know, he’s a Johnson, he’s always ready to lose control.

“The Other Side” by Jason Derulo

Then his lips land hard on mine, kissing me. It’s a full hot-tongue-straight-into-my-mouth kiss.

  The Scene: My caveman fantasy.

Eeekkkkk!! Aiden finally kisses her with his tongue! Even though they keep saying they want to be just friends, if it weren’t for Aiden’s restraint in this situation, they definitely would have gone to the “other side.”

“Live for the Night” by Krewella

I’m not sure if I lit up the stage or not, but I do know that the stage lit up something inside of me.

The Scene: Life can follow a script.

One of my favorite Keatyn lines in the series is, “I’m not sure if I lit up the stage or not, but I do know that the stage lit up something inside of me.” Keatyn definitely loves the spotlight. And she’s finally okay with it. This is a big growth moment for her.

  “Omen” by The Prodigy

I drop the bouquet and look around wildly. Because I know. Vincent is here.

  The Scene: Didn’t listen.

After the play, Keatyn gets flowers with a chaos symbol on the card, and she panics thinking it’s Vincent. Although it isn’t, this song is sort of foreshadowing that at some point, he will be at Eastbrooke.

  “Pompeii” by Bastille

I look into his warm blue eyes. Eyes that engulf me with more emotions than the ocean could hold. Eyes that make me feel like I’m riding a wave. The eyes of home.

  The Scene: Sandy castles.

This playlist has so many great Keatyn and Brooklyn songs. She’s so torn between her old life and her new life. Her old love. And there are times when she just doesn’t know what she should do. Brooklyn represents so much more to her than love at this point. He represents her needing her life back, her wanting to go home. And this song has a battle undertone to the music that is so fitting. She was left to fend for herself. The walls tumbling remind me of their love falling apart. But it’s so easy for her to close her eyes, be in his arms, and pretend nothing has changed.

“This Is What It Feels Like” by Armin van Buuren

I close my eyes and take it all in. The smells, the sounds. All of which feel like home. Except. Not quite.

The Scene: Pull the trigger and shoot.

Cooper and Keatyn are in California on the beach. She wants it to feel like home, but it doesn’t quite. This song is so how she’s feeling. She feels alone. She’s not sure if she will survive Vincent. I love, love, love this song. And in case you’re wondering, she’s thinking about Aiden, not Brooklyn.

  “Like Home” by Nicky Romero

  “Because, he’s not you.”

  The Scene: We’ve changed.

She goes back and tells Aiden about seeing Brooklyn. And for the first time, he doesn’t get mad and walk away. This is a defining moment in their relationship and shows his growth. Aiden makes wherever she is feel like home. And, people, this is HUGE! Hello, spoiler alert right here!

“We’ll Be Coming Back” by Calvin Harris

“We’ll fight together. I want you back on the beach with me.”

  The scene: Still my bliss.

This song is sad. From Brooklyn’s point of view. It even goes back to him not wanting to label their relationship. Brooklyn knows he’s made mistakes with Keatyn. He wants to press rewind. Start over. And he wants to be back with her. Back on their beach.

  “Kiss Me Slowly” by Parachute

It’s hard to feel where my hand ends and his begins. They are interlaced. Entwined.

The Scene: For a rainy day.

The absolute perfect song for Keatyn and Aiden at the top of the Empire State building. From his point of view. Love how it talks about the lights, the city, her lips, her skin, and kissing slowly. Because we all know he has time-stood-still kisses with her.

  “Dream Life” by The Royal

The music is blaring. The crowd is hot and sweaty. Aiden pulls me closer and sways slowly with me. And his delicious lips find my neck.

The Scene: For a rainy day.

Another Aiden song. It’s so freaking cute! He feels like he’s living a dream life dancing with her at the club, spending the weekend with her. His life is a dream because they are together.

“Just Like Heaven” by The Cure

“I’ve died and gone to hottie heaven,” I whisper.

The Scene: For a rainy day.

An old song that Keatyn snuck into the mix. One of their songs. I always wondered if anyone knew why there were random old songs for important scenes between them and hoped this wouldn’t give away the ending. In this scene, they are in the bath tub, wearing swimsuits, and he’s using a piece of ice on her, which is why she feels like she’s died and gone to hottie heaven.

“Skip To The Good Part” by He Is We

He looks me in the eyes, speaking directly to my soul. “This is the good part, Boots.”

The Scene: For a rainy day.

Cute, cute song. She’s mad at him for not wanting to go further. She wants to skip to the good stuff. I love that he tells her this is the good part. And she finally gets it.

  “Bougie” by Jessi Malay

“You’re a little too good of a shopper. I’m tired, broke, and starving.”

  The scene: Take me shopping.

Cute song about shopping! I love that Aiden likes to shop with her.

“I Want You So Hard” by Eagles of Death Metal

I explore his mouth like it holds the answers to the universe.

The Scene: Ohmigawd.

This song actually came out a few years after this scene really happened, but it is also a ten-year-old song that found it’s way into the playlist filled with new music. I’m pretty sure Keatyn wants Aiden. Badly.

“Waves and the Both of Us” by Charlotte Sometime

Who needs feathers when we have that tongue?

The Scene: I need the feathers.

Just from the title you would think this song is about Brooklyn, but the lyrics, you have to listen to it. They speak of moon, stars, lips, and Keatyn wanting everything from Aiden. This is such a sweet, sexy song. And so fitting of their relationship at this point.

  “Clarity” by Zedd

I have to protect what’s left of my heart.

  The scene: What’s wrong, baby?

This song is still played on the radio often. I can’t listen to the words without crying. Keatyn knows she loves Aiden. She believes their story will end badly. Because she’s lying to him. Because she loves him so much that he almost has the power to destroy her. Their love story is tragic, but yet, she still loves him. And she knows she has to leave him.
