Silent Night (Bad Boy Rockers Book 6)

Robin hesitates, pulls one of her gloves off, and does the same with one of mine before she intertwines our fingers together. “That’s where my feelings for you are growing.”
I close my eyes and let what she’s admitted wash over me before I squeeze her hand and move us toward my car.
She’s beautiful and others notice as we pass, but I smile inside knowing that she’s finally mine.
Donovan & Mara
Donovan
Snuggling in front of the blazing open fire with my gorgeous wife has me feeing content. I always do though when I have Mara in my arms. Our journey to this point hasn’t always been easy because of her young age, but we’ve made it through both of our studies and the hours I had to put in when I started my new job—over twelve months ago now. It isn’t really where I want to be, but I’m still young and there’s time. As long as I have it to support Mara and our babies then I’m not going to complain because I’m one hell of a lucky guy.
Babies! I never saw that one coming. Neither did Mara. We’ll manage because we have her family and our friends around to help, but realistically the only feelings about our babies that I have is excitement, and of course worry about Mara. She’s strong though, stronger than me in some areas.
I smile at her now and rest my chin on the top of her head, watching as her hand caresses the small bump of her stomach where our twins grow.
My heart swells with love for her and when I slip my hand over hers on her stomach, Mara turns her face up to mine, and softly kisses me. Her other hand reaches up and caresses my jaw and her love for me is written all over her beautiful face. She smiles against my lips and with one final kiss, she settles against me.
Sometimes it’s hard for me to know what she’s thinking when usually she’s an open book, and now is one of those times. “Talk to me, Mara.” I kiss her shoulder. “Tell me how you’re feeling.”
My hands caress over her bump as I bury my face in the curve of her neck. Mara covers my hands with hers and says, “I’m nervous about the twins, but I’m excited as well.” She turns her head and meets my gaze. “Today is the first day that I haven’t been sick or felt sick all day, so I’m feeling pretty good…if you know what I mean.”
I grin. “I know what you mean.”
With some rearranging, I spread my thighs and settle her between. I tug her nightshirt up and groan into her ear when I don’t see any panties.
“Were you planning on having your wicked way with your husband?” I ask, and rub over her mound with my fingers.
“Mmm.”
My breathing becomes labored the more I tease and my arousal is harder to conceal than hers, and right now I’m hard and aching with my erection trapped between us.
“I can’t remember what we were talking about.”
Mara moans and arches into my touch, but I don’t move my hand from the top of her pussy. “I ache.”
“So do I, but I’ve waited three weeks for my wife to be well enough so that I can make love to her, and I want to make it last.”
“I’m sorry—”
“Don’t apologize. I love you with all my heart, and you were sick. I’d have waited forever. Although, I’m glad that I don’t have to.”
She chuckles. “Me too.”
“Lift.” I tug at the hem of her nightshirt, and pull it completely off when she raises her arms.
My breath catches as I bare my wife to my eyes. Her beautiful skin is smooth and soft and my excitement grows at the sight. But now I need to be able to see all over her and with her between my legs, I can’t.
I bring my knee up and move Mara so that she’s now lying in front of the burning fire. The flickers of flames reflect over her and my eyes burn just as hot.
“Now you,” she whispers.
My t-shirt and gym shorts come off before I kneel between her spread thighs.
Her eyes heat as they travel over my body but she gasps when she gets to my heavy cock. “That looks painful,” she comments.
I laugh and crawl over her. My lips caress her belly and I shudder when her fingers slide through my hair. I move to kiss each breast and bite back a moan of pleasure when the head of my dick rubs against her pussy. Of course Mara isn’t helping with the rotating of her pelvis while she tries to get me to enter her.
Not yet.
I let a nipple plop from my mouth and move back down to her belly, and start kissing each hipbone. I then trail wet, open mouth kisses down her pelvis and settling down on my stomach, I kiss the lips of her pussy.
I growl with impatience, pushing my tongue through her wet folds, needing to be deeper. The taste and smell of her arousal drives me crazy as my cock swells and aches pressed into the blanket as I lay on my stomach. It’s going to be soaked with pre-cum before I finish inside of Mara.
Her fingers flex in my hair as she arches and moans. Placing her legs over my shoulders, I lap at her arousal, causing her to rub against my mouth. I lift my eyes to watch her reaction, and the sight of her heaving breasts is my undoing when my balls tingle, ready to explode.
Gasping, I quickly raise above her. My cock doesn’t need guidance because it seeks its home on its own and I slowly slide inside of her tight sex. Her feet caress my ass as she slides them between my thighs. She knows I love this position because her sheath tightens around me like a glove, more so as she stretches and reaches over her head.
“Hell, Mara,” I hiss, dropping my face between her breasts, which I’m noticing have grown in size since her pregnancy. “Being with you like this always makes me feel like a horny teenager.”
I swipe at a distended nipple and feel her quiver in response around my shaft, so I turn my head and do the same to the other.
Mara pants, and I admit, “I nearly came with my face planted between these gorgeous thighs.” I caress her legs, my hands grabbing her bottom and holding her to me. “These breasts”—I nuzzle into them—“so ripe.”
“I’m going to come…please move.” Mara pants and her hands slide around my neck. She brings me up to her mouth and that’s all it takes. Our kiss blazes molten liquid through my blood and with an undulating of my hips, I send us both into climax.
Her little, hot pussy grabs my cock, and pulsing along my length, it pulls and sucks more release from my body. I strain inside her and eventually calm down enough to do small, but sharp, slides of my cock along her sensitive core. She quivers under me as I cup her breasts and suck at them as though I never want to stop.
Mara’s hands slide back into my hair and hold me against her while I continue to worship her body.
“Ugh,” Mara suddenly moans in annoyance, and winces when I meet her gaze. “Sorry,” she adds, and chuckles. “I have the sudden urge to pee.”
It takes me a minute but then I can’t help but grin. “I guess I better slide out.”
I kiss her on the nose and slowly slide out of her while gritting my teeth. Lifting my body above hers, Mara glides her hands over my chest and lets her fingers tickle over the head of my dick before she smiles and slips out from under me. She smacks my naked ass before she heads to the bathroom.
Kneeling, I then drop to my ass, ignoring the ache in my groin, and rest against the couch, gazing off into the flames of the fire.
My body is sated even though my dick thinks otherwise, and my heart is so full of love for my pregnant wife.
I honestly don’t know where I would be now if I hadn’t gone after the woman that I’d wanted for years. Reece’s sister. I chuckle to myself and rub my hand over my heart when I think back to the sneaking around we did at first so that we could be together. In the end Reece hadn’t been all that bothered. I think he was more upset that we’d snuck around than anything. I should have trusted our friendship, but at the time I was afraid he’d interfere enough to see Mara walking from me.
Right now though, I smile as she walks toward me wearing one of my t-shirts and climbs back onto my lap. She hates walking around nude, not that I have ever complained.
“
You okay?” I wrap my arms around her.
“I hate that I had to do that.” She raises her face and her eyes swim with tears.
My heart misses a beat as I move to wipe her eyes and caress her face. “Do what? You’re frightening me, Mara.”
“Pee,” she mumbles.
I smile. “Everyone has to pee sometime.” I kiss each eyelid. “You’re pregnant, Mara.” I kiss her nose. “I remember Jack and Reece going on about Thalia and Callie always needing to pee when they were pregnant. Don’t worry about it.”
“But it was in the middle of sex.”
“Mmm.” I move the t-shirt to one side and nibble along her neck and just manage to reach her collarbone. “I’d just come so hard inside of you, honey. I love you. You’re my wife and you’re pregnant with my babies. Nothing is more important than what I have with you, so don’t ever worry about having to take a break during my loving you.”
“I love you too, Donovan.” She kisses my chest and moves to straddle my lap. “Mmm, I love it when you’re hard and ready.”
“I’m always hard and ready for you,” I speak the truth.
Mara wraps her hand around my dick and swipes her thumb over the bulging head. I hold her gaze as she gives a few tugs before she lifts her hips and slowly impales herself.
My eyes narrow in pleasure and my balls pull tight when she loses the shirt and wraps her arms around my neck. Her breasts press tightly against my chest, and then she slowly starts to ride me…and all thoughts leave my brain as sensation centers in my pelvis.
Mara
I’ve had a smile on my face all morning after the delicious way I spent last night with my husband. I’d missed the closeness that we always share even though I still sleep in his arms every night. Last night I felt healthy for the first time in a while and I love the fact that I can tease my husband again. I know he understands, but it plays on my mind when I can’t really be with him.
Our marriage over the past five years has been a close one and other than his boys’ nights, where he gets together with his friends for poker and beer, we have always done pretty much everything together. I guess I’m afraid that everything is going to stop once the babies arrive. Even before that when I get too big to do much of anything.
My smile slips as I think about what lies ahead for us. I’m excited for our babies, but every now and again I get pretty terrified at the prospect of being a mom to twins. Donovan seems a lot more confident than I am, but I’m not sure how much of that is real or for my benefit.
“Crap!”
I’m rapidly pulled out of my thoughts when I hear my youngest sister cursing under her breath. Jessie is twenty, and sometimes going on thirty. I always thought that I was the more demanding of us Kincaid girls, but Jessie has proved me wrong on more than one occasion.
She still mumbles away to herself as I sit up on the couch to look over it to see what she’s up to—nothing much by the look of things. “What are you doing?”
Her dark head pops up as her eyes meet mine. She loudly exhales and stomps into the living room only to sprawl out into a chair. “I’m trying to calm down.”
I lie back down. “Sorry, I’m feeling a bit nauseous and lying down helps…why’d you need calming?”
“Mom.” Jessie practically vibrates when the name leaves her mouth. “She’s invited Adam to dinner tonight.”
“Oh, the ex-boyfriend that Mom really likes.”
“Exactly. Why doesn’t she understand that he’s an ex? I mean I’ve been blunt and made it clear on more than one occasion. I don’t get it, Mara. And,” she hisses, “I called Reece thinking that he’d put a stop to it. I mean you know what he’s like, right? You know what he said to me? He told me to enjoy dinner!” Jessie gets to her feet and starts pacing. “Enjoy dinner my ass. What is wrong with everyone?”
“Hi, Jessie,” Donovan greets, a huge grin on his face. “What’s wrong with your ass? Or am I not supposed to ask?”
Donovan lifts my legs and sitting down, he pulls my legs over him as I reply, “Mom is fixing Jessie up with her ex, and Reece told her to enjoy dinner.” I grin. “I think she expected Reece to become all heavy as par usual, but he isn’t taking her on.”
Donovan raises a brow, and asks Jessie, “What did the ex do to you? Can’t you sit through one dinner?”
“He cheated on me.” Jessie drops back into the chair. “With two other girls.”
“I didn’t know that,” I comment. “Why didn’t you tell me?”
“To be honest it wasn’t such a big deal. I wasn’t really into him, and I was just pissed that he’d do that without breaking it off with me first. There wasn’t even anything to get over, but Mom likes him.”
Closing my eyes, I smile. “Mom likes everyone.”
“I’m not going to complain because she was always in our corner,” Donovan agrees. “Everyone could have made it difficult for us to be together but no one did.” He reaches out and intertwines our fingers together while I open my eyes and meet his gaze. “I’ll always be grateful for that.” Donovan faces Jessie. “My advice is to go along with it tonight to keep the peace, but after dinner I think you should come down to Kix and sit with the girls while we rehearse for the concert.” He shrugs. “It’s an excuse for you to escape him.”
Jessie offers a secretive smile. “I like that idea.” She practically glows now. “I like that a lot.”
“Just remember that you won’t be able to drink,” I add before she gets too carried away.
Jessie waves her hand in the air. “I know that.” She jumps up, kisses us both on the cheek and leaves without another word.
I grin at Donovan as he watches me with amusement.
“Your sister is heading for trouble whether we help her out or not, you know that right?”
Chuckling, I answer, “Jessie won’t stop until she’s happy with the outcome. I kinda feel sorry for Mom. Dinner isn’t going to be pleasant.”
“Your mom can handle anything, including filling gaps in conversation.”
“Hmm.”
Donovan rearranges us slightly so that he’s lying with me in his arms. He nuzzles his face into my neck and breathes me in. “How are you feeling?”
“Not as bad as I did.” I thread my fingers through his hair. “But I can’t stop thinking about last night. How perfect it was.”
“You’re perfect.” He rests his head against my forehead and gazes into my eyes. “I know you, Mara. Better than anyone. If you’re worrying then I worry. Please don’t hide things because you don’t want to worry me, okay? Together we can do anything…apart we’re left floundering.” He kisses me on the nose and tucks my head under his chin.
“I’m afraid that things are going to change more than I’m ready for,” I admit. “I’m afraid that once I get huge that you won’t want me anymore…and I know I’m being silly because I know that you love me. It’s just scary you know? Two babies.”
Caressing down my back, Donovan whispers, “You’re my life, Mara. I can’t go on if I don’t have you by my side, so don’t for one minute think that I won’t want you when you’re getting toward the end of the pregnancy and you’re swollen with my children.” He grabs a handful of my hair and gently tugs my head back so that I can meet his gaze. “The truth is I can’t wait to see you like that. I can’t wait to have you naked on our bed with your stomach so swollen you can’t see your toes while I love you with my mouth.” He gives me a hard-all-loving kiss that makes my toes curl. “I’m in awe of you.”
Now tears run down my face at the sweet words that were said with his heart behind every one of them. I smile through them and once I can see clearly, I tell him, “I can do anything as long as I have you.”
“That’s right, babe. Don’t go forgetting, okay? I hate seeing you worried and upset.”
I nod and then he wraps himself around me, which lulls me into sleep.
Donovan
I lean against the doorjamb and grin as I watch Robin teasing the fuck out of Leo wi
th her come-hither looks. The poor guy is going to have his tongue on the floor if she doesn’t stop soon…and then she spots me and drops the bowl of chips…everywhere.
Grinning, I saunter in and grab a chip that landed on the countertop. I shove it in my mouth and look between them. “So, you two,” I wave my hand between them, “are together?” I raise a brow and wait while my sister-in-law flushes to the color of a strawberry.
Leo clears his throat, and answers, “Damn straight.” He grins, slaps a kiss to Robin’s cheek and goes back to the bar.
“Nothing to say?” I ask Robin and get the evil eye.
“Why did you have to go and say anything?” Robin huffs in annoyance. “It’s embarrassing having family around all the time.”
Laughing, I wrap my arm around her shoulders. “You love us, so stop complaining.” I smirk as I head back to Reece and Jack at the side of the stage, but get one last shot at her from over my shoulder. “At least I didn’t ask when the wedding was.”
“Who’s getting married?” Reece asks, obviously overhearing.
“Robin.”
“What the fuck,” he roars, and jumps to his feet.
“Jesus, Donovan,” Jack curses and grabs hold of Reece’s arm to hold him back.
I roll my eyes. “As if. Calm down. I was teasing her, and she wasn’t happy so I commented about not asking when the wedding was. It. Was. A. Joke.”
Reece glares and sits his ass back down. “Jokes are supposed to be funny. That wasn’t.”
“I thought it was,” I mumble, and get a glare from Jack for the trouble.
Reece is so easy to get going because of his over protective instincts for his family. He should know me by now though and think before he reacts.
“You taking care of my sister?” Reece asks, and I know that he’s now trying to piss me off because of what I said.
“My wife is the air that I breathe…so don’t ask stupid questions.” I walk away because Reece in the mood that he’s suddenly in, will cause more than an argument when he gets into my business about his sister.
