  “Yes, to it all.”

Lucky surged to his feet and threw his arms around Priest, then realized what the man said.

  “All, what all?”

“Marriage and if you can ever talk your sister into womb space, which I think is a—”

“I got womb room for one,” Lou yelled through the door. “None of that freaky twin shit. Fetal Cannibalism freaks me out.”

“Score, you were always my favorite womb mate I didn’t absorb,” He yelled through the door.

“I’ll get everyone in line, no sex until after the vows, sinners,” her voice disappeared down the hall.

“So, Mama is ready to marry us.”

  “Now?”

“Yes, now, what are we waiting for? Will your decision to marry me change in a month, six months, we’re not waiting a year.”

  “Okay.”

  “You won’t regret it.”

He slammed his mouth against Priest’s, then pulled away to grab him hand and drag him to the backyard before the man smartened up and changed his mind. He paused in the kitchen and turned to look at Priest.

  “I love you, always have.”

  “Ditto.”

“Ditto we’ve reached the ditto stage.”

“Shut up, Lucky, let’s get married.”

  “Okay.”

They walked out into the backyard to rounds of applause and a lot of muttering of about damn time. Priest was his everything, the one destined for him, and he’d never fuck that up.

She reads too much and loves to get lost in other worlds. Her favorite stories must include laughter and having the reader doing at least one double take. Thirty-something, forever restless she uses her stories to ground herself, and find her place of peace.
