“What up dawg? I have been trying to call your ass all day,” Horatio said, then noticed Bella. “Uh, excuse me.”

“Been busy. What’s up?” Chaz asked as Horatio extended his hand to Bella.

“How are you doing I’m Horatio? This rude punk’s partner.”

“Sorry man. This is Bella. Bella this Horatio, my partner,” Chaz introduced. “I’ve been hanging with Bella, what’s the big fucking deal?”

“Can you excuse us, please?” Horatio gave a gracious nod to Bella. “Your other phone wasn’t ringing today?” He whispered pulling Chaz into what appeared to be a closet door. Chaz turned to Bella before closing the door, “I will be right back baby.”

Chaz and Horatio stayed in the room for what seemed like an eternity to Bella. The manager came to the office to get something out of his gaudy desk, but not before hitting on Bella with his best lines.

“Hey beautiful, are you my present?” He asked when he first opened the door to his office.

“Uh no. I’m waiting for Chaz,” she explained and pointed to the closet door.

“Now I have been a good boy this year. I think I deserve something as pretty as you on my arm. My name’s Big Willie, but you can call me Big,” he laughed at his own joke. Big Willie extended a massive hand in Bella’s direction. She shook it gingerly.

“Nice to meet you Big Willie. I’m Bella.” She giggled this man was the very stereotypical definition of a strip club owner or manager.

“You don’t look like a dancer What are you doing in a place like this?”

“You are correct sir. I am not a dancer. I am here with Chaz while he makes his rounds.” Bella replied all business and hoped to convey that she was not some fling either.

“Did you say sir? Ah, shit she called me sir when she should be calling me Big Willie,” he roared. “Girl I ain’t your daddy unless you want me to be”.

“Sorry, Big Willie. I don’t need a daddy.” Bella quickly informed Big Willie.

“You sure cause Big Willie love the kids,” he said gyrating his large frame. Big Willie was big but not because he was fat. He was just a big man. He was tall, lumbering, and very dark. His features would be intimidating under normal circumstances but in actuality he was just a horny older man. Bella observed his huge dark hands as they tried to do an old school dance and wondered who was sleeping with him. A player’s hat adorned his massive head, and a very expensive Italian suit covered his enormous body. Bella couldn’t help but laugh at his performance, when Chaz returned from the coat closet with Horatio.

“You out here hitting on my lady Willie?” Chaz asked clearly preoccupied with his cell phone.

“Big Willie a freak, you know that. Were you out here doing the cabbage patch? If he was, I am sorry Bella we left you with this fool. You are much too beautiful to watch that show.” Horatio took a seat next to Bella on the couch.

“What are you talking about Chaz? She was reaching into her purse to tip me, weren’t you sweetheart?” Big Willie asked holding out his hand.

“I sure was. And here’s my tip those who can, do, those who can’t manage,” she said sarcastically.

“Ooh! I think she is trying to tell you something Big Willie,” Horatio instigated.

“She just doesn’t want to admit it in front of you Chaz, she was digging me.” Big Willie joked before making his grand exit with some funky dance moves. They all laughed as Big Willie danced his way out the office.

“So what are you doing with Chico Debarge? You should be chilling with me,” Horatio asked.

“Damn dude, you are just going to hit on my girl in front of me?” Chaz said still playing around with his cell phone.

“Yep! Anyway! What do you do Bella?” Horatio asked pretending to ignore Chaz.

“I am a grant writer for Brown & Jersey. I write proposals and complete loan applications for a variety of organizations and companies,” she answered.

“Damn girl, so you are real smart and shit. Well, since you seem to like Chico, do you have any friends that need a suave brother like myself?”

  “Maybe Horatio,” Bella laughed.

“For real, because I want a smart woman like you. She can teach me something, and I can teach her a thing or two.” Horatio could see he was the third wheel and slid off the couch.

“I will have to keep you in mind when I am hooking my girls up.”

“For real Bella. I want me a good girl in public but a freak in the bedroom. You know any girls like that?” Horatio smiled at the possibility of hooking up with a boardroom kind of woman.

“Aren’t most real women both those qualities?” Bella words were seductive, and she was looking directly at Chaz, whose attention she finally nabbed.

“Yes,” Chaz said licking his lips and nodding his head. And just like that he wanted to be inside her body and to kiss her lips. The silent exchange was enough for Horatio, who was shocked to see Chaz so enthralled with a woman.

“I need to know where to find them, so you let me know Bella. I can see I’m the third wheel here dawg, I will see you later. Nice to meet you Bella and don’t forget, freak-good girl.” Horatio and Chaz pound fists before he took his leave.

Chaz sat on the desk and motioned for Bella to come to him. She walked oozing sex and stood between his legs. She leaned in and began kissing him while he ran his fingers across the fabric of her dress watching the immediate reaction. Before he could take the next step the door to the office swung open, it was Horatio and Big Willie.

“I told you Big Willie. We were the third and fourth wheels. He didn’t believe me, but you two continue to get your freak on,” Horatio laughed as Big Willie stared directly at Bella’s covered breast drooling.

“Get the hell out of here, fucking perverts,” Chaz yelled as Bella clasped her arms around his neck.

“Safe to say you won’t be getting any in this office, from me at least,” she said.

“I wouldn’t want it from anyone else but you. Bella, you can quit trying to trip me up. After twenty-four hours, I know exactly what I want, and it is you.”

Eventually, they joined the party in full swing at the front of the club in a special table reserved only for Chaz or Horatio. Bella watched all the ladies dance while the men in the place dropped money like water in a bucket. She could never find the courage to get up there and dance for a bunch of drunken strangers. Bella was impressed with their lack of inhibition and abundance of confidence. Everyone stopped by the table paying their respects to Chaz and Horatio like they were strip club gods. Bella peeped a few jealous ladies as she sat watching the show, many of them eying Chaz. Bella knew that they might have had a fling with him or wanted too, but it didn’t bother her like it normally would because he was all hers tonight.

After leaving the Perfect Ten, they drove to a secluded after hours spot that Chaz liked. The building had a corner store in the front and a series of apartments on top. When they entered through the back, they walked up a flight of stairs and down a long hallway. In what appeared to be a living room sat a table full of guys playing cards. Another table had several men and women just sitting, talking, and drinking. The entire atmosphere reminded Bella of the kind of basement parties she sometimes went to in high school. The music was blaring from an expensive stereo system that included strategically placed speakers so the music could be heard all over the apartment building. There were some semi nude girls walking around offering lap dances and god knows what else. In the farther room, there was a party going on. The room was packed with people dancing, moving to the music, and having a good time.

After slapping hands with several people he knew and introducing Bella, Chaz grabbed an available Corona beer and pulled Bella to the floor, and they began dancing. Slowly Bella moved her body to the rhythm of the music being careful to place her ass against Chaz. He guided her hips as she worked her body up against his, liking the way she moved to the music. Before they could make it to song number two, they were entangled in a passionate kiss and once
again shut out the world around them.

“Come on, just follow me,” Chaz said leading Bella down the stairs and to a basement.

“Where are you taking me?” She asked not liking the almost complete darkness of the stairs. They entered a blue-lit room with an array of couches and chairs that was heavily guarded by a huge Latino man holstering a pistol. He spoke with a heavy accent, “Grab a couch, but if the lady decides not to participate you let her out or I will do it for you.”

Chaz nodded handing the man several large bills and led Bella into the adjoining room. The room was filled with people sitting on couches making out and some just plain having sex. A small man appeared holding a bottle of disinfectant and a towel directed them to an available couch. Bella completely hesitated as Chaz walked towards the couch. The sound of the people moaning made Bella immediately clam up and she couldn’t move her feet. Realizing that he had walked away without Bella, Chaz rushed to reassure her that she was safe and that it was okay.

“What are we doing in here? I am not about to have sex with you in here,” she whispered. Chaz could hear the apprehension and nerves in her voice. He wanted to experience so many things with Bella. This little voyeuristic idea was at the top of his list. After the sensual dancing and getting to second base at the Perfect Ten, he was more than ready to be inside his new woman.

“Come on baby. Nobody’s paying attention to us. It’s just you and me. We don’t have to have sex, I just want to be able to touch you and kiss you,” he explained.

“We could do that at your place, hell we could do that in the truck without a bunch of strangers.”

“Just come sit with me.” Chaz motioned as he took a seat on the couch patting the seat next to him. Once again she seemed hesitant to trust his judgment. Chaz knew in due time she would come to trust him and understand how he felt about their new relationship.

“I am not sitting on that disease riddled couch.” Bella folded her arms in defiance.

“They clean the couches around here. You can sit on my lap.” Chaz pulled her onto the couch with him. The heavy smell of disinfectant rushed up Bella’s nose.

Chaz tried to kiss Bella, but she could not loosen up. He began teasing her again threw the fabric in her dress. She tried to resist, but his hand expertly stroked her and caressed the small of her back at the same time. The tension began to fade as pleasure rolled in. Bella allowed Chaz access to her lips. She turned to straddle him, giving him full access to her breasts and whatever else he wanted. He slowly pulled down the tube dress and surveyed her caramel nipples before helping himself. Bella couldn’t help but look around to see if anyone were watching them, but no one cared to look their way. Everyone was wrapped up in what they were doing to their partners. Now and then Bella would see the Latino guard peep in to make sure no one was in distress. Amazingly this helped her to feel more relaxed. She unfastened the buttons on Chaz’s shirt. Bella could feel his heart beating fast in his chest. Bella placed butterfly kisses down Chaz’s neck and along his jawline. Bella loved how his jaw tensed with every touch. She knew where this was heading.

“Can I take your panties off?” Chaz whispered in her ear.

“No! I said we can’t do it down here,” she whined.

“You don’t want me, right now?” Chaz was sure to move against her lacy panties. Bella groaned feeling Chaz’s erection rub against the crotch of her panties. Her fear was still a major factor when she whined, “I do, but I don’t want these people seeing us.”

“No one is watching us. It’s just you and me. Bella, I want you right now.” Tenderly he helped her to stand. Bella nervously stood as Chaz reached under her dress and pulled down her lacy panties. She felt more naked than ever at that very moment.

Bella carefully reached down and undid the button and zipper holding Chaz inside his pants. He leaned back on the couch and allowed her to sit on his lap careful, not to slip inside her without protecting them both. When he brushed her special spot with his arousal, they both groaned loudly. Soon enough he would know what she felt like without the interruption of the latex. For now he slipped a finger inside, and she clenched around the intrusion. He continued teasing her with his fingers causing her to beg him to put on a condom. He was happy to oblige. Bella slowly rocked her hips on top of Chaz causing him to gasp. He firmly gripped her ass as she moved him in and out of her body. Teasingly she would stop, kiss his neck, and rub against his chest, causing him to plead with her to keep moving. When Bella could no longer stand the teasing herself, she began to move quickly on top of him, moaning and groaning as if they were in the privacy of his bedroom. When she felt his nails dig deep into her hips, she knew he was near and rushed to her climax. The sensations from Bella’s body caused Chaz to come with an astounding force that propelled several grunts from his lips. Chaz held Bella in his arms as their hearts raced under the force of their amazing orgasms and whispered in her ear, “Damn girl!”

“Chaz that was amazing, wow!” Bella whispered trying to catch her breath.

Chaz couldn’t explain any of his current behavior in regards to Bella, he didn’t believe in love, at first sight. Unfortunately, that’s the only conclusion he could come up with at this time. He wanted this connection so badly. It had been a long time since he had felt this optimistic about love or life period. He had perfected relationship avoidance his entire life. Chaz prayed that his real life wouldn’t scare her away, as it had done in the past. Knowing that was a possibility Chaz resolved to absorb as much as possible just in case things changed.

  Chapter 3

Bella and Chaz regrouped and rejoined the party in progress upstairs. On their way upstairs Bella was afraid to look the heavy Puerto Rican in the face. On her way out she looked back to see him give her a wink. Chaz took a seat in a comfortable chair and nuzzled at Bella’s ear while they watched the partygoers dance the night away. Bella saw a person talking on a cell phone, and suddenly her life before Chaz came rushing into her mind. It was as if she were an amnesia victim with sudden memory recall. She checked her cell phone unaware if it was still operational, as she hadn’t charged it. It had one bar of power left and plenty of missed calls. Bella’s cell phone started to ring, and she excused herself to a secluded corner to answer it.

“Hello,” she said yelling into the small phone.

“Where the hell are you?” Kennedy asked.

“At a party. I will tell you all about it when I get home tomorrow,” she explained.

“You have been missing in action for the last twenty-four hours, you had me worried sick. Now where are you and why are you partying without us?”

“I will have to explain it to you tomorrow okay, promise. Love you, bye.” Quickly she hung up the phone and powered it off. Kennedy would no doubt call her right back.

“You know if he ain’t treating you like he should, you might want to cross the border,” the heavy Latino man whispered in Bella’s ear.

“I’m okay for now, but I will keep that in mind,” she said and smiled.

“You are welcome here anytime, just ask for Lonzo.”

“Thank you,” she said and high tailed it back to Chaz’s waiting arms.

“Who was that?” he asked, “One of your boyfriends?”

  “Funny, I don’t have a boyfriend or do I?”

Chaz gave her a look that indicated she was certifiable. He managed to nod his head to the affirmative. Bella was indeed taken, and any man that sought to change that would have to deal with Chaz. Bella tried to rein in her huge grin and bent to kiss Chaz.

“It was my best friend, Kennedy. I missed our workout today, and she was worried.”

“What did you tell her? You have had several workouts today, so you should be fine.” Chaz sipped on a Corona.

“I told her that I would talk to her tomorrow.” Raising an eyebrow behind the designer glasses, he asked, “What are you going to tell her?”

“Whatever she wants to know, she’s my best friend.”

  “Maybe yo
u should leave some things to the imagination.” Chaz moved his crotch against her backside giving her a hint. Bella giggled and would definitely welcome round two, even on the rented couch.

“I don’t mean every single solitary detail, just a synopsis of my weekend. Is that going to be a problem?”

“Nope, do what you have to do.” That damn cocky grin was killing Bella. She was or had she already fallen totally in love with Chaz. His confidence was to be admired. He seemed so sure of himself and this burgeoning relationship.

“You haven’t figured women out by now? We like to keep each other informed. As much as I feel like I know you already, there is a lot that I don’t know. I know there is something that you have to tell me that you do not want to tell me. I can feel that much Chaz. Besides if something should happen, I need someone to know what was going on in my life. Also do not pretend like you didn’t give Horatio the rundown on me in that closet,” she stated knowingly.

“Uh, that was not a closet. That was another office. I just told him that I met you yesterday and that we were hanging out together. That’s all!” His smile tried unsuccessfully to hide the truth.

“You are trying so hard not to laugh, because you know that is not all that was said. I know better than to believe that phony smile.”

“There are some things about me that I haven’t revealed. For now that’s all I can say but I promise to fill you in later,” he said placing his strong arms around her neck. “Now let’s dance.”

Bella and Chaz stayed at the party for another hour before deciding to leave. On the ride back to his place, Chaz talked more about his life and what he likes and disliked. Bella had a feeling he was hinting towards something, but was happy for now that he was sharing. In the last twenty-four hours he had managed to turn her world upside down and she couldn’t think of a better time spent. In the last twenty-four hours, Chaz managed to tap into parts of her mind and body that she had been so afraid to explore. He had helped her out of that comfortable shell. Even though, he had in no way revealed what she knew was going to be a killer detail about his life, she felt certain that despite what it might be she would deal with it. The truth was he was right. They were meant to be together. Bella allowed that realization to set in while he talked about being an awkward teenager.
