My phone rings non-stop in my pocket to the point I want to shoot the fucking thing. I look up at Gauge, one my brothers but he just laughs. Bastard.
“You need to take that, Princess?” Sly, our president asks. I flip him off and turn back to what I was doing.
“Jesus, what the fuck is happenin’ in your pants, brother?” Mayhem chuckles. Mayhem is from the No Cal Chapter of the Soulless Bastards. He came out to help us with a situation that started over on his side of the country. Not that I don’t like the bastard, but he can be annoying as hell.
“Don’t you have shit to do?” I ask looking over at him.
“Jesus. What the fuck is this? A slip n slide from hell?” He nods at the plastic that’s laid out on the floor of the warehouse covered in blood. “Where’s the body?”
“Right there,” I nod to one of the pieces.
“Is that a dick?” He asks narrowing his eyes at one of the pieces.
“Fuck if I know! I was told to chop it up, so I did,” I shrug.
“Looks like you stuck that fucker in the garbage disposal,” he adds while lighting up a joint.
“Dec wanted to see it was over with, there’s your man,” Sly adds pointing at the many parts that are now shark food. No one will find his ass after we haul him out on the boat and dump him. Mayhem nods blowing smoke into the air as he glances over at me.
“Want some company out on the boat?” I shrug and bend down to roll the plastic up.
“Unless you’re in a hurry to get back,” I say through a grunt.
“Nope. I’m gonna enjoy the time off.” I nod my head and finish rolling the plastic up tossing the pieces of the body into a bucket. Gauge chuckles when I look up at him.
“What?”
“You just gonna throw them in there like that?”
“Why the fuck not? Fish food, brother. That’s all it is.” The guys laugh as Mayhem helps me load the plastic into another bag that’s already been weighted down. This shit will sink to the bottom of the sea with the rest of them. That’s kind of the beauty of being where we are. If we don’t want it found, you won’t find it. I never scatter them in the same place twice. Why should I when there’s a whole fucking ocean out there waiting for me.
“I’ll see you back at the clubhouse. I need to make some calls,” Sly says slapping a hand on my shoulder. I nod and grab the handle of the buckets nodding toward the bag.
“Grab that, yeah?” Mayhem moves to lift it, tossing it over his shoulder as if it weighs nothing. I smirk and lead him out of the warehouse and toward the docks. Thank fuck ours are private docks.
“Never knew the ocean could look so different across the fuckin’ country,” Mayhem says as he takes in the water.
“Really?”
“Yeah. It’s like a different blue and everything, brother.” I climb onto the boat and set the buckets down before reaching for the bag that he passes me. He climbs on and I start it up.
“Ever dump bodies out there?” I ask curious now.
“Nope. First time,” he says with a smirk. I pull the boat away from the dock and take off out into the ocean. I love coming out here. There’s just something about being out in the open with the fresh air that soothes you. Or at least it does me.
“What’s Cali like?” I ask looking over at him. He reaches up and pulls his long blond hair back and secures it.
“Fuckin’ hot as fuck. It’s home though. I’ve traveled some but nothin’ feels like home but there, you know?” I nod my head knowing that feeling.
“You got an old lady back home, yeah?”
“Yeah. Taylor. She’s a hellion.”
“Heard that.”
“What about you?”
“Yeah, I got one. Fiancé. That’s why the phone keeps ringin’,” I tell him with a smile.
“Keepin’ tabs on your ass already and you ain’t even married? Goddamn that is gonna fuckin’ suck for you later,” he laughs.
“Why is that?”
“She’s a stalker, brother.” Just as he says it the phone rings again. It won’t be much longer, and I’ll lose service out here. Another plus of being out on the boat. “Told you!”
I shake my head and blow out a breath before I say, “Feels that way sometimes. She don’t like the club shit. She don’t like half the brothers there. She don’t like much of anything. Wants shit her way or no way.”
“Sounds like she isn’t worth marryin’ then.” I let that sink in as I cruise the boat out a little further. Lauren is a good girl. She just doesn’t like what I do. In fact, she doesn’t like much of anything. When I’ve found a spot I like, I kill the engine of the boat and just float.
“This it?” Mayhem asks looking around.
“Yep. Just drop it and go. Fuckin’ sharks and shit will eat that up in the matter of minutes. No one will ever find his ass now. What did he do anyway?” I ask as I grab a bucket and sprinkle it over the edge. Mayhem moves to the other and does the same.
“He was runnin’ with some traffickers. So Cal was on that shit for a while and thought they got them all. This fuck snuck off apparently and when we heard intel that he was up this way, we called Sly in.”
“Traffickin’ women?” I ask. He nods his head, a pissed off look in his eye. “Fuck. Now I’m glad I chopped his ass up.” We toss the bag over the edge and watch as it sinks to the bottom. Each of us taking a bucket, we dip them in the water to wash them out.
“You stickin’ around a while?” I ask Mayhem as I make my way back to the front of the boat.
“Probably not. My girl will be pissed if I stay away too long.”
“Heard that. I’m just glad I’m workin’ at the shop tonight.”
“Oh, that’s right. You’re the tattoo artist, yeah?”
“Yeah, that’s me.”

I step into the shop and walk up to the counter. The blue haired girl smiles at me.
“Can I help you?”
“I’m wanting to get a tattoo. Do you have someone available?”
“Wolf has time. He’ll be with you in a few minutes. Fill this out and I’ll need your ID,” she says passing me a clipboard. I pull my ID out of my pocket and pass it to her. It doesn’t take me long to fill it out and hand it back. “You can look around. He’ll call you when
he’s ready.” I nod and glance around the shop. It’s extremely clean which is what I’ve heard and why I decided to come here. As I’m looking at photos and things, I see the little girl sitting on the chair. A man is bent over her, talking so sweetly that it shocks me.
“You are gonna have the prettiest ears in school, you know that?” he asks. The little girl giggles.
“Is it going to hurt?” She asks, her big brown eyes beaming up at him as he gets his things together.
“It’ll be a little pinch. Not a big one. And I know how to do it super-fast,” he tells her. She smiles as who I assume is her mom turns and smiles at me. I’ve never seen a man take such time and be so patient with a kid before. I’ve been to several tattoo parlors and had many piercings but there’s just something about this guy that is different.
“You ready? I’m gonna put this clamp on your ear so I know where to put the earring, yeah?”
“Okay.” I watch him place it on her ear and grab the needle. He doesn’t warn her, just sticks it in and chuckles. “Why are you laughing?”
“You didn’t feel it? This one’s all done! I just gotta put your earring in,” he tells her. She smiles so brightly that it nearly breaks my heart for many reasons. I watch as he finishes the other and the little girl jumps off the chair. She rushes to the mirror to look at her earrings as the man cleans up. When he turns around, I gasp.
“Hey,” he says making his way past me. I turn and watch as he walks back behind the counter. Blue haired girl walks back up and hands my clipboard to the longhaired man that I assume is Wolf.
“Krista?” He asks looking up at me. I nod and he motions for me to follow him in the back. My heart leaps into my throat as I take him in. He’s tall, with long blond hair and a scruffy beard. I let my eyes travel over his body, the way he moves. Damn.
“Right in here. What is it you’re wantin’ to get?”
“Your number,” I blurt out. He chuckles and damn did that do it. How am I supposed to tell him I want him to tattoo my hip with my panties wet?
“Where do you want the tattoo?” He asks completely cutting off my state of thinking. I could always go for one of those vagina tatts. No, no I can’t.
“The thing is, I want a whole leg piece. I’m not sure what I want it to be. All I know is I want it freehanded.” His eyebrows rise as he looks at me intently. I’m sure I’m not the only one that’s come in here asking for freehand work. There’s just something about its uniqueness that I love.
“Let me get this right. You’re just gonna let me do whatever I want on your body?” He asks, a little skeptical of what I just said.
“On it, to it, in it. I’d let you do all the above.” His laughter is deep and gravely. Damn it, why couldn’t he have been ugly and sound like he smoked a pack a day?
“I like you,” he says tossing the clipboard onto the counter.
“That’s always a good thing.”
“Tell me about you. What do you like, don’t like?”
“Is this for tattoos only?” I ask lifting a brow in his direction. His smirk is sexy as hell, but I know what he’s asking. “I’m not a hearts and flowers kind of girl. I like dark things. Skulls, crows, deep red roses. There are very few things in life that I give a shit about but when I find something, I protect it.” He nods his head as I talk but when he slides his chair closer to me, I shiver.
“Too bad I’m a blond since you like dark things.” His breath smells of cigarette and mints as it dances over my face.
“Exceptions can be made,” I whisper.
“How about you take those pants off for me, nice and slow. Let me see exactly what I’m gonna be workin’ with, darlin’.” Okay so maybe my overly sexual talk wasn’t the best idea when it comes to this guy but nevertheless, I climb out of the chair and slowly pull my jeans down my legs. I don’t miss the hiss that escaped his lips, but he coughs to play it off. At least he’s keeping it professional.
“Here,” I point to my now naked hip as his eyes trail over my body.
“You shouldn’t wear such baggy ass clothes,” he mumbles and scoots closer.
“What do you mean?”
“I mean, those jeans are way too fuckin’ big and why would you want to hide all this?” As flattered as I am, my body has always been something that bothered me. I wasn’t always as thin as I am now. In fact, some months I’m a lot bigger. My weight has always yo-yoed in that aspect. I don’t have a response for him, so I don’t even try. His hands touch my thigh and I gasp at the contact.
“I think we can make somethin’ pretty fuckin’ amazin’ on here. You have a preference of color or black and grey?” I shrug as he pulls back moving toward the counter.
“Nope. You can just surprise me.”
“You know this is gonna take more than just one session, yeah?”
“That means I get to see you again? I’m in.” He laughs again and fuck, why does he have to do that?
“Alright then. Hop on up,” he says nodding toward the chair. I close my eyes and inhale deeply. I keep my comments to myself since I was about to ask on the chair or him. Maybe I’m being inappropriate. I climb into the chair and lay on my side. His workspace is already set up aside from the ink.
“I’m thinkin’ we’ll work with black and grey first. Add little splashes of color later on. What do you think?” I look back over at him and smile.
“I’m open to new things.”
“I bet you are,” he grumbles under his breath. I smirk and watch him set out his blacks before he rolls his chair back over next to me. He preps my hip and then his gloved hand is there.
“You ready?” I nod and close my eyes as the sound of the gun lulls me.

Wolf
“You shittin’ me?” Gauge asks while Dez wraps her arms around his neck.
“No. She was all sexual and shit. You should have seen it,” I chuckle, taking a long pull from my beer.
“Better not tell Lauren.”
“Tell Lauren what?” Jesus fuck. I don’t need her screaming tonight. I’ve had a long day and I don’t want to listen to that shit. I can feel the headache coming on already.
“Nothin’. How was your day?” I ask trying to change the subject. She isn’t going to let this go.
“It wasn’t nothing. What are you talking about, Wolf?” She stomps her foot and I roll my eyes. Lauren is something else. I met her at the shop one night when she came in with her friends. She was too damn proper and prim, and I wanted to filthy her up. She’s stuck around ever since but each day that she comes by the clubhouse is another day I regret most of my decisions with her.
“I said it was nothin’, Lauren. Fuck!” She looks down at where I’m sitting and makes one of the most hateful faces I’ve ever seen. I hate when she does that.
“Keep your secrets, Wolf. You always do,” she snaps before turning and stomping toward the back.
“Guess she’s spendin’ the night, yeah?” Sly chuckles. I flip him off and grab another beer.
“She’s gettin’ too comfortable,” I grumble.
“Is that it or you just find somethin’ else you wanna fuck?” Shaft asks. I flip him off too.
“Fuck all of you,” I grumble.
“Gotta ask Lauren for your cock back first,” Shaft adds laughing.
“Don’t you have a kid to get home to?” I snap at him. He laughs harder and nods his head.
“That I do. Look, you asked her to marry you, yeah? There’s gotta be some kind of feelin’s there.”
“I don’t know that I was in my right mind when I asked her that. If I was then I completely fucked myself.” It isn’t a lie. I’ve been thinking about this for a long time. Lauren is a nice girl, just not a girl for me. I care about her but the more I think about it, I know I don’t love her. Never have and it’s doubtful that I ever will. In fact, I’m probably going to sound like the biggest asshole here, but I basically only asked her to marry me so that she’d shut up and fuck me that night.

; “Just break it off,” Gauge says.
“He’s right. Don’t string her along, Wolf. If you really don’t want to be with her, just send her ass packing,” Dez says. I smirk at her.
“Would you walk away if he told you that?”
“Hell no, but I’m an asshole,” she smirks at me. I shake my head and shove out of the chair before stalking down the hallway. Shoving the door open to my room, I step in and stop. Lauren stands with her back to me, her blonde hair hanging just past her shoulders. My cock hardens as I take her in. She’s gorgeous, that was never a question, but she isn’t what I need. I should let her go but I’m selfish as fuck.
“You waitin’ on me?” I ask huskily as I slowly make my way over to her, stripping out of my clothes as I go. Lauren turns her head to look at me over her shoulder, her long lashes fluttering as if she doesn’t know what she’s doing to me.
“What were you talking about out there?” She asks but her tone is sexual. She’s flirting with me and I almost like it.
“Nothin’ that concerns you,” I tell her as I run my fingers up her side watching how she shivers.
“Why do you like keeping secrets, Wolf?”
“I’m not. It just doesn’t concern you.” She leans back into my touch, her head resting on my chest. I almost want to bend her over and take her right here and now, but I can feel the way she tenses. “What the fuck is it now, Lauren?”
“We’ve been engaged for almost a year, Wolf. When are we getting married?” Fuck! I should have saw this coming. I should have known she would bring this up. Leaning down, I press a kiss to her neck, but she pulls away grabbing her clothes off the bed.
