Nina set aside the finished basket. “A few of the females are with child, Kreshok. Our tribe is going to grow!” She looked down and folded her hands over her own rounded stomach. Smiling, she closed her eyes, sending a wave of love to the baby growing inside her. She felt something nudge back, a curious probe, but filled with just as much adoration. “And I’m going to give birth to the first baby in Bahmet sometime near the first snow. We think, anyway. We’re not sure how long gestation is between a human and beast valo, but Mom says it seems to be moving along at a normal rate so far.”

  She looked back up at Kreshok. “I never thought I could be so happy. I mean, I was happy with Mom and Dad, but this… I’m fulfilled. I feel whole for the first time in my life. I left here hoping to find the companionship I needed, but I never imagined all this.”

  “Never imagined all what?” Vortok asked as he squeezed between a pair of trees to stand near Nina in the grass.

  She faced him and grinned, holding a hand out to him. He helped draw her smoothly to her feet.

  “You,” she said, tugging on his mane until he leaned down. She kissed his lips. “Balir, and Aduun.” His mouth turned up in a wide smile when she broke the kiss.

  Long, slender fingers slipped around her middle to cradle her rounded stomach. “And we never imagined you,” Balir said against the side of her neck before placing a kiss behind her ear. The caress of his lips sent a thrill through her.

  “Our wildest imaginings could never come close,” Aduun said, stepping out from behind Balir to move next to Nina, settling a hand on her belly above Balir’s. “We could never have imagined this joy.”

  Nina’s heart raced, and she knew theirs mimicked its quickened pace. Each day her love for her mates increased. She stroked Vortok’s cheek and looked at Aduun and Balir. “Was there something you needed me for?”

  “The bathhouse,” Aduun replied.

  “What about the bathhouse?” Nina asked, the corners of her lips curling mischievously.

  “We need you there with us,” Balir replied. “Urgently.”

  Nina bumped her backside against Balir’s front, and sure enough, felt his erection beneath the loincloth. “Urgently?”

  “Desperately,” Vortok said, leaning in closer to her.

  She met his eyes as images filled her head — delicious, naughty, lascivious images. She opened her mind and shared them with her mates. They groaned as one, and her breath hitched as they added their own lustful ideas to the mix.

  “Will you all make love to me at once, like before?” Nina asked, voice breathy. They’d finally worked up to that point days ago, and just the thought of it, of being connected to all three of them at the same time, made her breasts ache and her sex clench in need.

  “All at once, yes,” Vortok said huskily.

  “And then one at a time,” Aduun added.

  “Until you’ve had all you desire,” said Balir.

  “Now,” Nina said, rubbing her backside against Balir’s hardened shaft. “I need you all now.”

  Vortok lifted her into his arms, and if she wasn’t getting so worked up, if her body didn’t crave the feel of theirs against her so badly, she might have laughed at their speed as they ran through the streets. She looped her arms around Vortok’s neck and buried her hands into his mane.

  The anticipation was just as thrilling as the pleasure they would unleash upon her.
