  I moved to where the voice was coming from. I saw her surrounded by a few guys. They didn't have good intentions.

  “S-s-stop it! You are shameless.” One of them seized her by the arm and dragged her into his embrace.

  “Help me Senior Brother Wu!!!” The young miss yelled asking for help.

  “That piece of trash has already run and left you behind. He knew we would love to enjoy our time with you so he didn’t care.” The man talking started to laugh in a perverted way.

  “You animals from the BlackWood Sect, you deserve to die... Stop! No, please...” Tears filled her young eyes and cute face. These men were going to **** her, she was unwilling.

  They ripped the young misses clothes; she wasn't as pretty as Shu Er or Shu Yi; but she had a nice body. It was underdeveloped, but it was clear in a few years she would have her own beauty.

  What an animal, trying to **** a twelve-year-old girl.

  I couldn't watch, I didn't like someone being raped and much less a twelve year old girl. I released my arrowheads and killed the five old men.

  “Master. Yan Xiang found some ancient remains, his cultivation increased. He's already of the 3rd rank. Do we need to take some action?”

  “No, don't worry about it. Let him enjoy and hunt his enemies down,” I said with a calm voice through the Deal Soul Seal to Shu Yi and Shu Er.

  “Did you guys improve yet?”

  “Yes master, we are already at the 7th rank,” said Shu Yi.

  Perhaps it's possible before reaching Imperial City to upgrade the Death Core. I was killing all the beasts I found, without trying to move too far away from the path the System said. There was nothing interesting in this forest. It would be good to find some kind of treasure or something in this desolate forest.

  Several minutes later it was as I expected, Yan Xiang almost died in the process but he killed all the Su Clan members. The Su Clan was finished in Skyfall City, only the young and the weak ones remained. They dispatched every member to finish Yan Xiang and protect Su Cai, yet they failed at both missions.

  “What about the Light Sect disciple?” I asked.

  “He escaped.”

  Chapter 57

  Demon

  Phew... I underestimated my capabilities in killing King Beast. There are only three months remaining to reach the Imperial City yet I already won 500,000 experience points that were one third: from the 5th rank to the 6th rank. Thinking about this I spent three to four months killing King Beasts as if there was no tomorrow, having a corpse body helped me, though otherwise, it would be almost impossible to kill so many beasts. I decided to improve my Scythe Wielder skill, as it would make me stronger.

  Scythe Wielder upgraded to Lvl 50

  That was a good improvement. I will be 50% stronger when using my scythe. I needed a movement speed technique or else I would be quite unbalanced.

  Unfortunately, during these few months, I found so little rare bloodlines that I had only improved my bloodline a little, but it was still far too evolved. While I was thinking about how to improve myself or how to find some worthy technique Shu Er’s hurried voice sounded in my head.

  “Master! Yan Xiang has been possessed.”

  Inspecting the village I found out this was not a normal village, no wonder all the corpses were people at the Qi Refining stage. Based on the corpses and the stuff that was burning this was a bandit village. No wonder they gave so many Death Points, they must have raided and killed many people. I detected a life aura fading away, I hurried to get there.

  Near a building, a man was holding a woman, his face was full of grief. The woman must have been someone important to him. The man noticed me.

  “Help me, please! Help my wife...”

  I was a being that excelled at death, I knew the woman was dead and that there was nothing that we could do...

  “Sorry, the woman is dead,” I replied… Huh?! Something is wrong here.

  I jumped back a few meters and avoided being hit by a big black claw. Where the hell did this thing pop out from…

  “It's your fault, your whole fault! You are one of them!” roared the man.

  This time he sent me flying, but I damaged his claw. His speed is over mine but his strength is more or less the same as me. Could he be a core foundation?

  His claw passed through my chest, I used my muscles to grasp his claw. He was faster than me but once I grabbed him, he couldn't move at all. He was a bit low on strength. I wielded my scythe making a circle, he had nowhere to run unless he passed through my body and that was not an easy task. He tried to run and my scythe sliced one of his arms, I used the scythe in its second form slicing the man in half from his waist. He dropped to the floor dead.

  What the hell was this? Luckily it was a fast fight otherwise I would have suffered much more. There is no notification? I inspected it with my soul, the body... Something is moving inside it.

  The man moved again and with his other claw stabbed me in the leg. I used my Qi to explode the body, it blasted without any effort. There was only a grub left escaping in the direction of the forest. What the hell is this? I pinched it with the point of my scythe...

  It confused me, This bug had no rank? Just XP, it was like it transformed from the Core Foundation... its body into a corpse? So strange…

  Chapter 58

  Without enough time

  “Halt!” Yelled a burly man in his forties, I noticed his body cultivation was stronger than anyone I had found so far. The burly man continued, “We are the Lighting Mercenary Group, we are looking for a young boy who looks like a demon. He has annihilated a village. Have you seen him?”

  The man started describing how Yan Xiang looked like, transformed into a demon. It was strange, the village that was burning where the corpse of the man attacked me didn't have a trace of Yan Xiang. Someone is pulling the strings around here to blame Yan Xiang... How? He didn't offend anyone. Had someone been watching him? Shu Er and Shu Yi didn't tell me anything...

  “Young boy! The boss is talking to you, you should answer him back.” A young man brought me back to reality when I was just about to contact Shu Er and Shu Yi.

  “No. Sorry I didn't see the boy you described. Where do you guys come from?” We were two months away from Imperial City and based on the map the System had there was nothing close by besides the huge dark mountains.

  Could these guys be lying, otherwise how could this kind of information reach Imperial City so fast?

  The party had only ten men. The youngest was around twenty years old and the oldest was the burly man who talked to me.

  “Boy, we are the Lighting Mercenary Group. Where do you think we come from? Of course, from Imperial City. We are lightning cultivators, and as you may know we are faster than any attribute. Traveling one month at full speed is nothing for us!” Another young man started bragging. He was the type of man who felt proud for any small detail, even one small hair on his head.

  “How did this kind of news arrive at Imperial City; you guys must be quite strong to know about this, right?” I played the role of a country boy dummy, I needed to gather information.

  “Are you idiots? Did you not notice where we are? We can barely stay alive in this dark mountain area unless we cross the country idiots who know this place. Yet you don't you see that this young boy is perfectly fine.”

  A tall man suddenly shouted, “Don't tell me, he is the Sacred Beast of the mountains? We strayed on our path and we ended in his nest! Oh god! We are done for!!!”

No wonder people call us the ten dumbest lightning rays… we don't complete any missions at all, even though we always arrive first!!!” The boss reprimanded them. “It’s obvious there are several hundred King Beasts, not to mention Earth Beasts, yet this boy is walking in the darkest parts of the mountain like nothing!”

  “How dumb I didn't notice!”

  “That’s why I joined, our boss is too smart!”

  Okay I understood now that they are seriously dumb there was no need to pretend anymore…

  I didn't want to be contaminated with their brainless disease so I walked past them and moved towards the path the System had established. The System didn't think too much, it just set a straight link from my point to Imperial City, so far nothing seriously dangerous had happened but I doubted that this was the best way to travel…

  “Why are you guys following me?”

  I could see their faces getting red, their boss kept his face away from my eyes… What's going on now… A sudden thought made me realize something. Could it be they are lost? This probably won't go well…

  “You guys wouldn't happen to be lost, right?” I voiced my thoughts.

No matter how I tried to explain that I was immune to poison the man only nodded at me telling me that bluffing was not a good thing for young boys…
