She headed upstairs with thoughts of the St. James brothers clouding her mind. When she finally dozed off to sleep, her dreams became erotic, and for the first time in her life, she imagined being in the center of a ménage with four sexy brothers.

“This is so beautiful back here. My God, you’ve done such a great job with the landscaping. I can’t believe how big those trees have gotten,” Louise told her sons as she walked around the patio.

The men were all gathered around out by the pool taking in some sun and cooking up some hot dogs for appetizers.

Mercury took the dogs off the grill and called to everyone that they were finished. A quick glance over toward the right, where there was a gap in the fence, and Louise saw a woman sunbathing in a bikini. The other neighbor that bordered the small house her sons owned and rented had a few kids swimming in the pool.

“Hey, when did you get the new tenant?” Louise asked as she joined her husbands by the table.

“Oh, just about a week ago. She works at The Station,” Kyle told her.

  “She lives alone?” she asked.

“Yes, Mom, she used to live in New York. It’s a funny story actually. Her car broke down right in front of the shop a few months ago. Frank tried to fix it, but the car was a hunk of junk,” Kyle explained.

“Yeah, she shouldn’t have been driving it, Frank said in an annoyed voice.

“She was traveling alone?” Louise asked.

“Yes, but she liked Treasure Town so much, and when she stopped into the Station for lunch while Frank worked on the car, she applied for a job. Some of the girls working there were no shows and weren’t reliable,” Mercury added.

“Sounds like fate to me.” Louise smiled at her husbands.

“Oh no, here she goes,” her husband, Mark, said, and Louise scolded him.

“Tsk, Tsk. Now don’t you start. You know as well as I do that it was fate that bought the four of us together that one rainy night during the hurricane.”

“It sure did. We were forced to cuddle and use our body heat to remain warm,” Rich teased.

“Then one thing led to another, and your mother jumped our bones. It was quite traumatic,” Travis teased.

“Travis St. James. You watch that filthy mind of yours in front of our sons,” she scolded.

  The men chuckled.

“I don’t know. I’d say our sons are old enough to know how love works, and lust. Maybe even recognize something special when it comes along. Probably from the third floor window, where they could get a clear view,” Mark teased, and she smacked his arm.

“My sons do not peek out the window to watch their new tenant lay out in her green bikini,” Louise said.

  “What?” Frank asked.

Jenks nearly choked on his beer, and Mercury started to say he was excusing himself when they all heard the scream for help.

“God, that smells so good. I wish I had a barbecue. Smells like hot dogs,” C.C. whispered aloud. She really was enjoying the day and finally had a chance to wear her bikini. With all the weeks of riding a bike and doing the jogging, plus working on her feet so many hours at the Station, she was in awesome shape. She felt strong, toned, and curvy. In fact, she wondered if her landlords were taking a peek at her while she laid out. She felt her cheeks warm. It wasn’t as if she needed to get involved with anyone, especially not four men. Four men like the St. James brothers, who were hard, firm, bossy, and quiet.

She tried to ignore her belly rumbling with hunger and focused on the kids playing by the yard. She could hear splashing but couldn’t quite see the pool from where she lay. There was a small fence, but some bushes blocked the view.

It was all so normal and peaceful. She could imagine living in a place like here and even raising a family. She wondered if it were possible then felt kind of guilty. She didn’t know why. It wasn’t as if she’d caused her brother’s death or her brother-in-law’s, never mind her sort-of-boyfriend Parker’s. Her sister and mom had been right. They had only dated for about two months, but he’d been a very nice guy.

She closed her eyes and enjoyed the atmosphere, the aroma of grilling making her think of what she should have for lunch. That was when she heard the scream for help.

C.C. jumped up and took off running toward the bushes.

  “Help, please, he’s drowning.”

She didn’t know what came over her, but she stuck her foot into the fence and leaped over it. She felt the scratch to her outer thigh but didn’t care. Three little kids were pointing at the pool.

“He fell in. He can’t swim,” one yelled and was crying. The other ran toward the house, calling for the mother.

She climbed the edge of the pool, saw the small child at the bottom, and jumped in. She grabbed the little boy, scooped him into her arms, and swam back up. When she got him to the edge, the adrenaline high had her easily lifting him up and out to the side. He wasn’t breathing.

She heard more screaming as a mother approached, and C.C. began CPR. She sensed other people around her, but her focus was on the little boy.

“Oh God please. Please save him,” the mother, she thought, cried out.

As soon as she heard the gurgling, she rolled the boy to his side and rubbed his back.

“You’re okay, sweetie. It’s all right now. Come on and let it out. Breathe for me, nice and easy.” She could hear sirens in the distance.

“Jesus, C.C. that was amazing. Are you okay?”

She looked up and caught sight of Mercury. She nodded to Mercury as he looked over the child.

She felt the hand on her shoulder and turned toward the right and up. Frank was staring at her.

  “You saved him.”

“It’s okay. He’s okay now,” she said, sounding so out of breath. The paramedics arrived on scene, along with the police and other neighbors. She realized she was only wearing a bikini and covered her breasts as best she could.

  “Oh God.”

“Here.” Jenks was there to offer her a towel, and when she stood up, Frank grabbed her around the waist.

  “You’re bleeding.”

She shook her head as the paramedics tended to the child and the deputy waited for her to come down off the small deck.

“Not now. It’s okay. Let them focus on the child,” she whispered, and he nodded and wrapped her in the towel. She held it close, and then Jenks helped her down.

She saw an older woman and three other men standing by the yard as well, but then the deputy came over to ask her some questions and to take her name down. She told him what had happened, and then the mother came over and hugged C.C., thanking her.

“You saved my baby. Oh God, we were just in an accident a few weeks back. My husband is active in the service, and it’s been so crazy. My God, I could have lost my baby.”

“It’s okay. He’s fine, and I was there. It worked out just fine,” C.C. said and gave the woman a hug.

Once everything calmed down, C.C. started headed toward her house, but then Kyle grabbed her hand.

“Hey, you’re bleeding down your back leg. Let’s go over to our place so Mercury and I can take a look.”

“I’m fine, Kyle. Really it’s okay,” she said, her voice cracking.

Kyle pulled her close and hugged her as they walked.

“You did good, baby. You saved that little boy. You were amazing.” He kissed her temple as they walked, and she shivered from his show of affection and the tone of his voice as the tears filled her eyes and the feeling of safety and security encased her. It was as though Kyle knew she needed a hug.

“I can’t stop shaking,” she whispered.

“It’s the adrenaline rush,” Jenks added. They were surrounding her as they walked her to their place.

“I can take care of it at my place, really. You have company.” She locked gazes with an older women and three older men. They stood by the woman in a protective stance. C.C. knew right away that they were together.

&
nbsp; “Don’t be silly. We’re their parents. I’m Louise, and these are my husbands, Mark, Rich, and Travis.”

“Hello, ma’am. Nice to meet you.” She reached her hand out for the woman to shake and then the three men. She could see the resemblances in their faces to their sons. Same strong features and muscular builds, plus the same height as their fathers. They were all tall men.

“Bring her upstairs to the bathroom. We’ll take care of things down here,” their mom said and smiled.

“Okay, Mom, there’s a cheese platter in the refrigerator and some crackers in the cupboard,” Kyle told her.

“Don’t worry about us. I’ll open a bottle of wine, and you and your friend can join us in a little bit.”

C.C.’s legs felt like rubber as Kyle, Jenks, Mercury, and Frank followed her up the stairs. Their house was stunning and so much light cast through the wide widows.

“Your house is beautiful,” she whispered.

“Thank you,” Mercury responded and then walked ahead of them. “Bring her into the master suite. That bathroom has more room in it and the new first aid kit is in the closet.”

“I don’t want to get anything on the rug. I can feel my thigh bleeding,” she told them.

“It’s fine. Let’s take a look at the damage,” Mercury said.

She felt completely self-conscious now that she was in a bathroom with her four landlords, wearing a string bikini. She was lucky a breast hadn’t popped out when she was doing CPR on that little boy. Even if it had, it wouldn’t have stopped her from saving him. She swallowed hard.

“It’s okay, C.C. We’re professionals,” Jenks said and winked at her. The others chuckled.

“Want us to leave you with Mercury?” Frank asked.

She shook her head and let the towel fall from the back of her, but she remained holding it in the front.

“Damn, baby, you’re all cut up along the back of your thigh, over your hip, and your arm.” Kyle lowered down to one knee.

“Nice tattoo,” Jenks complimented, and she held his gaze.

  “Thank you.”

She felt Mercury’s hands smooth along the tattoo. “Those are some tiny little flowers. So delicate and soft looking.” She turned to look down at Mercury. His hand smoothed along her hip and then to the back of her thigh. She tried to follow him with her eyes and turned to look over her shoulder, but she couldn’t see the damage.

“That’s going to sting, Mercury. It’s kind of deep.”

“Yeah, I’m not sure if she needs a tetanus shot. If she scratched it on that old fence, and it’s deep enough—”

“No needles. God, I hate them. Please, Mercury, maybe we can just make sure to clean it out often and watch for redness or something.”

“I have some stuff right here. We’ll just lightly clean it so it doesn’t sting.” Mercury said. She felt the slight bit of ache at the area where the gauze and antiseptic touched, but she wouldn’t move a muscle. If she did, Mercury may insist that she get a tetanus shot.

He looked up at her as he held her hip and then slowly stood up. She had to tilt her head back to lock gazes with him.

“We’d have to check it once, maybe twice, a day to make sure it isn’t getting worse.”

She felt the entire atmosphere in the bathroom change. Her breasts tightened, her nipples hardened, and her pussy came to life. When he trailed a finger along her jaw and then clenched it, she thought she might pass out. “You’d have to promise to let us look it over closely to make sure it’s not getting infected.”

“Okay,” she whispered and wondered what she was okaying, considering she was lost in Mercury’s dark eyes and the gorgeous tone of voice that oozed through her skin, arousing her.

When he pressed his lips to hers, she opened to his invasion and allowed his tongue to plunge deeper as he pulled her flush against his chest. She held on to him as he deepened the kiss, and then she remembered the audience and that she was barely wearing anything.

She pulled back, and he bit his lower lip.

  “Goddamn, you taste sweet.”

She looked at the others, and Jenks stepped closer.

“She looks really sweet, bro.” He cupped her cheek and brought her closer then kissed her next. It was soft and caring but then turned deep and wanton. When she felt Jenks’s hands glide along her ass, squeeze and then pull her hard against his body, she nearly came in his arms. She pulled back, and he released her lips.

“Oh God, what are we doing?” She stepped back, only for Kyle to wrap his arms around her waist and then kiss along her neck as Frank stepped in front of her.

“We’re finally getting to kiss you and explore these feelings,” Kyle admitted to her.

  “Feelings?” she asked.

Frank ran a finger along her jaw then down her throat and over her breasts to her belly. She shivered from the gentle, yet sexy, touch.

“So sexy and beautiful. You’ve got one hell of a body on you, C.C. A body my brothers and I are very interested in exploring.” He stepped closer, cupped her cheeks, and then took his time moving his lips closer to hers. It was as though he was waiting for her to stop him. Funny thing was she didn’t want to. In fact she wanted to taste Frank and then Kyle next.

His dark eyes held hers as his lips touched hers. He pressed his tongue deeper and then fully kissed her, being thorough in his exploration as Kyle ran his hands up and down her hips.

When Frank had his fill, Kyle turned her around and kissed her deeply, making her moan and then hold on to him until they both couldn’t breathe.

Kyle held her close, and Frank caressed her back.

“We should probably head back downstairs,” Mercury said, interrupting the silence.

“Oh God, your parents are down there. Jesus.” She ran her fingers through her hair. She felt so exposed and now guilty. She was letting their sons practically molest her upstairs in the bathroom while they were outside waiting.

“Let me just grab the towel and head back to the house. I’m so sorry to have ruined your time with your parents.” She reached down for the towel, and then Frank grabbed her hand. He pulled her close and ran his a hand along her ass.

  “Stay for dinner.”

  “What?” She gasped.

“Stay,” Mercury added. Between that deep look in Frank’s eyes and the feel of his large hand over her ass, she could hardly think.

“I shouldn’t,” she said to him.

He gave her ass a tap, and she felt her pussy clench and leak cream. She prayed the bathing suit bottom wouldn’t reveal how wet they made her.

“You should. Come on, Mercury will grab you a shirt to wear.”

He took her hand and led her from the bathroom in her bikini.

“I can just run home to change.”

“Are you kidding me? No way are we letting you out of our sight. Besides, I’m looking forward to having a drink with our own special hero,” Kyle added, and they chuckled, but she felt her cheeks warm with embarrassment.

When they got downstairs, she turned to see if Mercury was there, but then their mom came right over.

“Let me look. Damn, those look sore. Are you feeling okay?”

  “Yes, ma’am.”

“Louise. You call me Louise. Come on, you can probably use a drink right about now.” She hooked her arm through C.C.’s and led C.C. right past the three fathers and to the small outdoor bar.

“Wine, beer, mixed drink, or just a shot to start?” Louise asked, and C.C. chuckled.

“I could use a martini, but the wine will do just fine, thank you, Louise.”

She looked over her shoulder and saw the men watching her. Their fathers were picking at the cheese platter.

“Where is Mercury with that shirt?” she mumbled.

“Probably taking his time so my other sons can drool over your perfect body some more.”

Her cheeks felt really red, and she lowered her eyes.

“I’m sorry. It’s just that my sons have never shown an interest in
any woman before. At least not all four at once. When they heard the scream for help, they ran to your place first. They saw you leap the fence so fast, and then you were in action helping that boy. They watched, ready to assist but mostly just looked amazed. They like you. I can tell.”

“I don’t really know what to say. I hardly know them.”

“Roads lead you down different paths in life, and yours led you to Treasure Town.”

“It’s a beautiful town. I love it here. I just hope it doesn’t slow down too much when the tourists leave for the winter months.”

“No, it stays busy with the locals. You’ll be fine at The Station. Mostly locals go there anyway.” Mercury handed her a shirt to wear.

“Thank you,” she said to him, and he placed a hand on her knee as she lifted the shirt up and over her head. He helped her fix it in the back, and then she looked at the shirt and then at his mom, who smiled.

  “Nice one, Mercury,” Louise teased.

C.C. looked down at what the shirt said. “Property of St. James.”

Her cheeks warmed again for the hundredth time, and she shook her head at Mercury. “Rather presumptuous, Mercury, don’t you think?”

He placed his hand on the back of her chair and leaned closer.

“I don’t believe so at all.” He kissed her cheek, and C.C. was shocked until Jenks joined her on the bar chair next to her, followed by Kyle behind her. Frank went next to his mother after he placed a tray of cheese and crackers down on the bar.

They all had drinks in their hands, and C.C. wished she could have swallowed a shot before this wine.

“To our own hero.” Mercury raised his glass, and they all joined in, including their dads, and cheered for her. She knew, in that moment, that her life was going to change, and truth be told, she was more than ready for it. Nothing had ever felt so good, so right, ever.

  * * * *

Jenks listened to C.C. talk about where she’d come from and about having a sister.

“How did you learn CPR? You reacted so quickly earlier.” His dad Rich asked her.

“I learned at a young age and had to get recertified often with my job.”
