Hearts on Fire 8: Saving C.C. (Siren Publishing Ménage Everlasting) Page 7

“Which was?” he pushed, and Jenks admired his father’s ability to interrogate. Being a seasoned police officer helped. Plus, it seemed he was just as curious about C.C. as Jenks and his brothers were. But she definitely didn’t give more in-depth answers. She was shy or holding back on purpose.

“My degree is in social work. I worked for the Red Cross and various shelters in the surrounding counties near where I lived.”

“That’s impressive,” Kyle said to her, and she smiled.

“Not the best paying job, but I loved it.”

“Why did you leave?” Mercury asked her.

“Long story. I needed a change. Things happened, and I just needed to leave there.”

She sounded so down about it, and his gut instincts kicked in, but then Kyle took her hand and brought it to his lips. He held her gaze.

“Sounds like a story for another time. Maybe when you’re ready. But the good thing is that you stumbled upon our Treasure Town.”

  She gave a soft smile.

“And met all of us,” Louise chimed in and then stood up. “And I think we should start cooking. It’s an hour ride back home, and the dads get grumpy late at night.” Louise teased her husbands.

Jenks watched as his father Mark stood up and tried giving their mom a tap to her butt. She dodged it and hurried inside of the house. Then Mark, Rich, and Travis followed.

“We’ll get things ready inside and call out when you can start the grill,” Travis told Jenks, and he gave his dad a nod.

Jenks turned to look at C.C.

“I should help out.” She stood up. So did Kyle.

“You don’t have to. It’s just steaks, and everything else is ready.”

She ran her hands along the T-shirt that was large on her but also accentuated her full breasts. She had a great body. Curvy and more than a handful in the front and the back. He thought about cupping those large breasts and feasting on them. He wasn’t surprised at all when his imagination involved his brothers feasting on her, too, and them taking her together. Suddenly, after years of getting used to the fact that they might never settle down and find the right woman for them, he felt a bit of encouragement and hope. Cold C.C. be the one for them? He wasn’t sure, but exploring these feelings and that body of hers was definitely lifting his spirits and hardening his cock.

As C.C. went to walk by Mercury, he stopped her. He placed his hands on her hips and then pressed under the hem of the T-shirt to her waist, giving them all a nice view of her ass in the bikini, as well as the cuts from jumping the fence.

“I like how this shirt looks on you and fits so well.”

She pressed her hands down over, his making them part from her body.

“Mercury, please, slow down. Your parents are right inside, and we hardly know one another.”

Kyle placed his hands on her shoulders from behind.

“We’re planning on rectifying that today and tonight.” He leaned forward and kissed her neck. Mercury clutched her chin and tilted it up toward him.

“I can do slow. As slow as you can handle.” He pressed his lips to hers, and it took Frank clearing his throat to settle down that kiss and turn it back to PG rated before it got out of hand.

“That’s your idea of slow?” she asked, stepping from between them.

“You’ll find out soon enough that we all have different ideas of what slow with you is gonna be,” Frank told her with a very serious expression.

Jenks couldn’t believe it. Even Frank was feeling the intensity of this attraction.

“Jenks, you can start that grill up now,” his father yelled from the house, and C.C. lowered her eyes and headed inside to help their mom.

“Goddamn, my dick has never felt this fucking hard before,” Mercury whispered, and they all chuckled.

“You’re not fucking kidding.” Frank took a long slug of beer from the bottle.

“She’s fucking gorgeous and that body, holy shit. She’s sweet, she’s smart, she’s fucking perfect,” Kyle added.

“But she’s not giving up too much information on herself. I don’t like that,” Frank said.

“Neither do I. Something is up with it.” Jenks walked over to the grill and started it up.

“Well then, it’s our job to find out,” Mercury said, and they all agreed then waited for everyone to come out with the steaks to grill.

“Don’t let our sons intimidate you, C.C. You seem really sweet and smart. This type of relationship isn’t to be taken lightly,” Louise told her as C.C. helped prepare a salad.

She was concerned for her sons. C.C. understood that immediately. In fact, she was envious of their relationship and the obvious love shared between the fathers, mother, and sons. It made C.C. think about her family and about the things they lacked. She’d been young when her father passed away. He had died on the job, a police officer on patrol when a man on LSD attacked him with a knife. It seemed to C.C. that her entire life had been surrounded by one tragedy after another.

“I kind of figured that. I’ve been watching some of the other people around town and how they handle it. I had a friend back in New York who moved out to Texas to be with four men she met at a company she worked for. They’ve been together for two years now.”

“So you know a little about ménage relationships.”

“I do but never thought about being involved in one. I don’t really know your sons, Louise. We only just met.”

“Does it scare you?” Louise asked.

“I guess in a lot of ways it does. It’s odd, really, that I can watch the interaction between you, your husbands, and sons and see a strong, loving family. I didn’t grow up with that. To see it so clearly in the many ménage relationships around town makes me wonder how it all works so well, yet I also realize how untraditional it really is. There are just so many risks. Everyone comes from different experiences in their lives, and if I’ve learned one thing about mine, it’s that maybe I’m better off alone.”

“Aw, C.C., I can’t even imagine what has happened in your life to make you have such a feeling and reaction to this. It must have been rough, but you should keep in mind that sometimes a higher power is in charge and fate steps in when you think life is at its possible worst, and bam, everything falls into place.”

C.C. smiled. “Like you meeting your husbands while trapped in your car in a hurricane?”

  “Exactly.”

C.C. looked out the window in the kitchen and saw all the men talking and having a good time. It made her wonder if she could open up her heart to those men and share her life with them. Would they want to be with her still? Maybe they would think she’d let her sister down by leaving her to fend for herself? Maybe they would think she was a coward.

“Just take your time and you’ll figure things out,” Louis said to her as she lifted the salad bowl and smiled.

“I don’t think I’m ready for this. Your sons kind of hit me with liking me just today. Just upstairs.” She felt her cheeks warm.

Louise smiled. “Of course they did. Like I said earlier, they ran to your place first to check on you and then realized the scream was from next door. They saw you leap over the fence. They watched you save that little boy’s life, and all while in a bikini.” She chuckled. “I’m glad they let you back downstairs, or I would have had a thing or two to tell them about taking it slow with you.” She winked.

  “Oh God.”

Louis laughed. “Don’t be embarrassed. I know first-hand what it’s like to get overwhelmed by multiple men at once. You’ll get used to it, and before long, you’ll figure out just the right things to say and do that will make them just as off kilter as they make you. Mark my words, C.C., you’re perfect for my sons.”

Frank watched C.C. smile as his brothers, mother, and father interacted with her. She had such a nice personality. Despite her shyness, she was making some jokes and adding to the conversation.

  “Hey, watch it, Jenks, or
I’ll tell them where you were last weekend,” Kyle said to Jenks when he started making fun of him reaching over for the napkin he dropped and cringing from the pain in his shoulder.

“Where did you go last weekend, Jenks, and you better not say skydiving,” their mom said in a serious tone.

  “Thanks, Kyle. I owe ya.”

  “You asked for it.”

C.C. chuckled “You guys argue a lot.” She took another sip from her wine glass.

“That’s because he’s always giving some wise-ass remark,” Jenks replied, and Kyle chuckled.

“I have legitimate excuses for my aches and pains. What’s your excuse for not having a brain and jumping out of helicopters?” Kyle teased.

“Jenks Martin St. James, did you go skydiving with those nutty berets from the academy?” their mom asked.

“Oh crap.” Mark raised one eyebrow at Frank.

“Mom, I’ve been skydiving several times, and it’s safe.”

“Safe? No it is not safe,” she replied, sounding angry.

“Actually, it’s pretty safe, if you have good instructors and double-check your equipment and keep everything serviced,” C.C. replied.

Frank widened his eyes. “You’ve been skydiving?” He looked her body over, wondering if she went solo or her sexy body had been connected to some lucky fucking instructor. He felt the twinge of jealousy. He was losing his mind.

“Yes, several times. But not in a couple of years.”

“Holy God,” Louise said, and her husbands chuckled.

  “It’s a great feeling, isn’t it, C.C.?” Jenks asked.

  She nodded.

“We’ve all done it, but Frank had the most practice being in the Marine Corps,” Kyle said to her.

“You’re a Marine?” she asked, and Frank saw her facial expression change. The information upset her or affected her in some way as he nodded and she swallowed hard, then took a sip from her glass before turning away from him.

After that, she got awfully quiet.

C.C. tried to leave when Frank’s parents left, but he held her hand and kept her by his side. She looked so petite standing next to him and his brothers, still only wearing the T-shirt Mercury had grabbed for her and the flip-flops Kyle had retrieved by her lounge chair.

She turned toward him. He wrapped his arms around her waist and kept his hands locked behind her back.

  “Don’t go.”

She stared at him and took an unsteady breath. He heard it.

“I’ve stayed too long as is. I had a great time, and I loved meeting your parents. They’re so wonderful. You and your brothers are very lucky to have them.”

“They liked you, too.” He caressed her cheek and tilted her chin up toward him.

  “I think I should go.”

“Why? We’re having fun and getting to know one another.”

“Frank, it’s better I leave now.”

“Does this have something to do with me being a Marine?”

“What?” She asked, seemingly shocked at his question by her tone and the way she didn’t look him in the eyes. He’d seen the change in her eyes earlier, and he wanted to know what her problem was.

“Before, when we were all talking, as soon as you heard I’m a Marine, you got all quiet and looked upset. Why is that?”

She shook her head and then looked down, but he clutched her chin and tilted her head up toward him.

“You got something against Marines? Soldiers?” he pushed, and he knew he sounded forceful and abrupt.

She was quiet a moment. “I dated a Marine.”

  His chest tightened.

“And?” he pushed as he held her gaze and kept a possessive steady hand at her lower back.

“He died last year,” she whispered, tears filling her eyes.

He squinted at her and felt a mix of emotions. Anger, jealousy, and then a sadness as he wondered how.

“How did it happen?” Kyle was the one to ask.

“They believe suicide.” She closed her eyes.

  “Jesus,” Jenks whispered.

“Is that why you want to leave right now? Does me being a Marine remind you of him or make you fearful I could lose my mind from PTSD or something?” He was always forceful and up-front. He never could sugarcoat shit.

  She shook her head.

“Then why?” He gripped her a little snugger.

“Because I like all of you, and it scares me.”

He leaned down, prepared to kiss her, and she tried looking away.

  “Frank.”

He kissed her gently on the lips and waited for her response. When she didn’t pull away, he pressed her closer and kissed her a little deeper, letting his tongue push between her teeth and then explore her fully. She kissed him back, and when her hands moved up and down his chest, he ran his hands under her shirt and cupped her ass as he thrust his hips against her belly.

He knew she could feel how aroused he was. He wanted her, too. To know that she drove him crazy. To know that he wanted to sink so deep into her pussy that she would always be marked as his woman.

He was on fire and didn’t think twice as he lifted her into his arms, causing her to straddle his waist and pull from his lips.

  “Frank.”

“Shhhh. Don’t deny it, just feel,” he demanded, and he knew he sounded harsh, strong, but then he pressed her against the side wall of the porch. He kissed her again and cupped her breasts, feeling how big, firm, and glorious they were.

She gasped when he pinched one nipple.

“Oh God.” She moaned aloud after pulling from his lips.

He licked her neck and suckled the skin there. He couldn’t get enough of her taste and her scent, combined with some tropical coconut lotion that smelled delicious on her body.

He pulled back slightly and lifted her shirt up and over her head. She grabbed onto his shoulders, and he kissed her on the mouth again.

He then cupped her breasts in the sexy bikini. He ran his hands along the string to try and untie it, but when he couldn’t, he pushed aside the material and then pulled from her mouth.

  “Oh God Frank. Frank.”

He pressed his mouth over her breast and nipple and began to feast and tug on her flesh. She ran her fingers through his hair as he tugged and suckled harder and harder.

“Beautiful.” He heard Jenks’s voice and felt him moving closer.

“You’re gorgeous, baby.” Jenks cupped her cheek and kissed her while Frank continued to feast on her breast. When he had his fill with the right breast, he exposed her left breast and brought her more moaning pleasure. He felt her fingernails press harder into his shoulder while he suckled her nipple and pulled.

C.C. thrust her hips and pressed her breasts firmly against his mouth.

Frank sensed Jenks pulling from her lips, and he pulled from her breast.

The sight of Jenks’s hand gently over her throat stroking it one finger at a time was so erotic and wild Frank thought he might come in his pants.

  C.C. was breathing heavily.

  “Feel it?” Frank asked her.

  She nodded. “Yes.”

Jenks pressed his lips to hers then along her jaw and to her neck. When he moved lower over her breast and then latched on for a taste, C.C. stared down at him.

“We want you,” Jenks told her, and her eyes widened.

“Say you’ll stay with us tonight,” Kyle chimed in.

“She’ll stay. She can feel it and knows this is special,” Mercury told her.

“I can’t. Please understand that I’m not ready. This is so sudden.”

Frank fixed her top, and Jenks pressed one hand over her shoulder against the wall behind her. He used his other hand to hold her hip in place.

“What are you afraid of?” Jenks asked.

“So many things. Please, Jenks. I hardly know you guys. What you’re asking for is not something I can just say yes to.”

“You mean a ménage? Us sharing you and you sharing all of us?” Mercury ask
ed her.

  “Yes.” She swallowed hard.

Jenks leaned into her. He inhaled against her neck. “We don’t do this all the time. Just so you know. In fact, it’s been years since we tried this.”

  “Years?”

Frank took her hand as Jenks stepped back. He brought her over toward the couch in the living room as his brothers closed the sliding doors and joined them.

When he sat down, he brought her onto his lap, and she wrapped her arms around herself, obviously feeling self-conscious about only wearing the bikini. He could get her a shirt, but he didn’t want to. If she weren’t going to make love to them tonight, then he had to at least get to enjoy looking at her.

He ran his hand along her thigh and stared down into her dark blue eyes.

“My brothers and I have always been close. In the last several years, we’ve drifted apart a little. Focused on what we needed to do and went through different shit. But in the end, we always know our brothers have our backs. I know they’re there for me and can make up where I lack in certain areas.”

“You mean in a relationship like a ménage?”

“Yes. It’s special, not only because we know it can work and have seen our parents so happy in one but also because it fits our needs, our personalities, and we can feel whole.” Frank slid his hand along her waist then cupped her breast and slowly ran his thumb back and forth across the nipple. She tightened in his arms.

“I don’t know if I’m ready for this. Not tonight anyway. It feels rushed, and to be honest, I’m not very experienced with sex and you guys obviously are.”

He continued to stroke her nipple and felt the tiny bud harden. She moved on his lap, and his cock grew harder and thicker under her ass.

“Is that what scares you? The sex with four men?” Jenks asked her as he took a seat next to Frank.

She didn’t answer at first. “I suppose it does, but there are other things.”

“Like what?” Mercury pushed, sitting across from the sofa on the large ottoman, along with Kyle.

“I’m scare to feel,” she whispered, and Frank stopped stroking her breast.

“Why? What happened to you? Why did you really leave New York?”

She sat up higher on his lap. “I’d feel better if I had the shirt or something back on.”
