The Highest Bidder

“And what is that?”
“Help me, Shenya. Set me free.”
She let go of the god’s dagger. It slipped off the side of the bed and thumped when it hit the floor. “I want you,” she told him. “I know what I want now, and I want you.”
She backed away from his face to undo his breeches and pull them free. With two fingers, Shenya traced the markings across Brenin’s lower abdomen. “Forbidden,” she read aloud. “Cursed to darkness. Not of the light. Not of Othia. Undesirable…to all but me.” She lowered her mouth to kiss the marks that had, in a strange way, led him to her and her to him. Brenin smiled down at her, his eyes glassy with emotion.
“I want to taste you.”
“My body belongs to you. Do as you please.”
She took hold of his erect cock and pressed the head to her mouth. Soft skin met her kisses. The light, salty flavor of his excitement tingled on her tongue. She licked circles around him and sucked his length into her mouth. He groaned and dug his fisted hands into the sheets. Her other hand lifted and explored the soft sac between his legs and the flesh within which tensed and released sporadically.
When his moans became deep, guttural sounds, she released him from her mouth to cimb atop his body. With her hands she directed his length to her cunt and eased her hips down until he filled her completely. “You belong to me, Brenin. Forever. I have made you mine.”
He nodded, silent and subdued. His amber eyes slipped shut. His hands found purchase on her hips and he held on while she rode him in slow, unhurried motions. The scent of sex filled the air, driving her on, but she tried not to push too fast. He cried her name through clenched teeth. Her body seized. His fingers dug into her hips. Shenya leaned back and let the throbbing ecstasy of her release control her. Heat spread through her body.
A voice drifted in her thoughts. You chose well, my child.
Her eyes opened wide. Sunlight spilled across the bed, embracing her and Brenin in familiar warmth. She had heard the voice of her god.
Trembling, Shenya lay beside Brenin and cuddled against his body. He held her with one arm and pressed a kiss to her forehead. She decided he was right. Neither of them knew what the future held, and their match was not ideal, but what would it hurt to stay with him? The temple would still be there should she change her mind.
