“Stop it,” I warned. “You’re too much.”

He grinned and went back to his menu, so I did as well.

  Still horny.

We managed to get through dinner and then it was time to head back to my place and I had a bit of a dilemma. My dilemma, however, was quashed when Stoney walked me to the door, kissed me quickly, but thoroughly and bid me goodnight.

I let him walk away, then locked the door and reset my alarm.

Felix was staying with Luca tonight, so I was alone and horny and desperate for some relief. I headed for my bedroom and pulled my vibrator out of the nightstand.

“Hello, B.O.B., time for me to pretend you’re Stoney. Sorry, buddy, you’ve been faithful, but I’m totally gonna imagine you’re him tonight.”

I stripped down and climbed into bed, flipping the switch, and finding some relief.

  Not enough. But some.

  * * *

Thursday rolled around and it was Stoney’s night to take Felix out. Felix was a lot more relaxed this time around, but I dressed comfortably in case he wanted me to go with them again.

Stoney arrived and I let him in, desperately wanting to strip him down to nothing and fuck him in my foyer.

He grinned, leaning down to kiss my cheek. “Stop it.”

I wrinkled my nose. “Stop what?”

He raised an eyebrow. “You know exactly what.”

“Stoney!” Felix called and made a run for him.

Stoney caught him mid-run and lifted him into his arms. “Hey, bud. You ready to go have some fun?”

“Can we go play laser tag again?”

  “Please,” I prompted.

  “Sorry. Please?”

“We can do whatever you want. How about we go get pizza and then play laser tag at the Summit?”

“Yes, please,” he said, jumping up and down in Stoney’s arms.

  “Okay, let’s do it.”

He set him on his feet, and I settled my hand on his head. “Go brush your teeth, please. I’ll grab your jacket.”

  “Okay, Auntie.”

“Go potty,” I called as he ran upstairs to brush his teeth, then I faced Stoney. “How was your day?”

He grinned. “It was good. How about yours?”

I shrugged. “Good. Busier than normal, but I think it’s because I’m working from home more, so my staff save all the questions up for when I’m in the office.”

  He nodded. “Makes sense.”

“I guess. I just wish I could focus on work at work. I get more done from home.”

  “I bet.”

“Sorry, I don’t mean to unload.”

“It’s all good,” he said. “Is Fox with Luca on Tuesday?”

  “Always, yes.”

  “You got plans?”

  “Yes. I have a date.”

  His face fell.

“With you,” I said, with a wry grin.

“Jesus,” he whispered, pulling me out of the foyer and pushing me gently against the wall to kiss me. I slid my hands up his chest, pressing my tongue against his as his hand cupped my breast, his thumb sliding over my sensitive nipple.

I let out a quiet moan, and then whimpered when Stoney abruptly broke the kiss, stepping away from me just as Felix came back.

  “I’m ready,” he said.

I took several deep breaths as I grabbed his coat from the closet and helped him into it, squatting beside him and zipping him up.

  “I’ll get your booster.”

  “I bought one,” Stoney said.

  “You did?”

“Yeah, I figured it’d be easier. Talon’s woman, Darcy, helped me buy it, but do you want to come and approve?”

  “Yes. That would be good.”

I grabbed my jacket and followed Stoney out to his truck. He opened the back door and I stepped in to check out the booster. It was the same one I had, only a newer model, and he’d installed it correctly. “This looks great,” I said.

Stoney lifted Felix inside and helped him buckle in, then I leaned in and had one last pep talk with my nephew. “Be polite and listen to your body, okay? If you have to potty, tell Stoney.”

  “I will.”

I kissed his forehead and backed away. “Have fun.”

I closed the door and Stoney pulled me behind the truck, kissing me quickly. “We’ll see you in a couple of hours.”

I nodded, slipping back into the house and watching them leave from my foyer window. I had another whole night to myself and wasn’t entirely sure what to do with the time. I decided to get some work done. As I powered up my laptop, Vivi called, and I grinned as I picked up. “Hi, stranger.”

“Hey, babes. Wanted to get that girls’ night on the books.”

“Oooh, yes,” I said, putting her on speaker and pulling up my calendar on the laptop. “I just have to check with Mom, but I’m actually open tomorrow, or not for another three weeks.”

“Well, then put me in for tomorrow.”

“Okay. Oh my god, I can’t wait. I have so much to tell you.”

“Awesome. I’ll be at your place at six.”

“Okay, I’ll let you know what Mom says.”

  “Perfect,” she said. “Bye.”

  “Bye.”

I dialed my mother’s number and she answered immediately. “Hi, baby.”

  “Hi, Mama. How are you?”

  “I’m good, sweetheart, you?”

“Good. I was wondering if you could take Fox overnight tomorrow, please. Vivi and I were hoping to grab dinner and get a girls’ night on.”

  “Of course.”

I sighed. “Thank you. I’ll drop him by after school.”

“Okay, darling, we’ll see you then.”

  “Okay.”

We hung up and I focused on my accounts for the next two hours, getting so far ahead, I could actually leave a little early tomorrow. So far, the weekend was looking promising, indeed.

  * * *

Stoney brought Felix home just after eight, and he was jumping off the walls, happy and chatty, and all things that made Fox lovable. “Sounds like you had an amazing night.”

“It was so cool, Auntie. We played three games of laser tag. Three!” he exclaimed. “And I had four pieces of pizza and didn’t even feel sick.”

“Wow, that’s amazing,” I said, with a chuckle.

Stoney just stood watching the exchange looking pleased as punch that his kid had a good time.

“Then Stoney said I could have ice cream or a milkshake, so I had a milkshake. Chocolate mint.”

“No way, you had chocolate mint? You usually just have chocolate.”

  “I know! It was amazing.”

“Well, I think it’s time for you to take a bath and get ready for bed. It’s a school night, after all.”

Felix grabbed Stoney’s hand. “Can you stay and read me Monster at the End of the Book, please?”

  “Yeah, bud. Sure.”

“Go ahead and start the bath, but don’t get in until I check the water,” I instructed.

“Okay, Auntie,” Felix said, and ran up the stairs.

I smiled up at Stoney. “Sounds like it was a raving success.”

“We had a great time.” He grinned. “He even called me Dad once before correcting himself.”

“Aw, he did?” I blinked back tears. “That’s really great.”

  “Don’t cry, baby.”

  “I’m not,” I lied.

He chuckled. “You interested in the three of us doin’ something tomorrow night?”

“I would love to, but I have a girls’ night out planned with Vivi. Mom’s going to watch Felix.”

  “Saturday?”

“Yeah, Saturday would work. Can we maybe not go to the Summit?”

He grinned. “Yeah, Breezy. We could do dinner and a movie if you want.”

“That would be amazing. I’ll see what’s playing.”

  “Sounds good.”

“Water’s on,” Felix yelled down the stairs.

“Okay, I’ll be right up.”

But I wasn’t right up. Instead, I was pulled out of sight of the stairs and kissed for all I was worth. I gripped Stoney’s jacket and held on tight as he worked my mouth with his tongue.

“Jesus,” he hissed, breaking the kiss.

“You saw God, huh?” I joked, and he laughed.

  “Yeah, somethin’ like that.”

I stroked his beard. “I love these sweet interludes, but we can’t keep making out in corners.”

He chuckled. “Oh, I don’t know. There are a lot of corners.”

I shivered. “You make me want to do a lot more than make out in corners.”

“Yeah, baby, right there with you.”

“I’m ready!” Felix called. “Where are you guys?”

“Busted,” I whispered, and pulled away from Stoney, making my way upstairs. Felix was in the bathroom waiting for me. “I’m here, baby.” I checked the water and determined it was good for Felix, so he hopped into the bath. “Are you okay with Stoney hanging with you while I get your PJs ready?”

  Felix shrugged. “Sure.”

I walked out of the bathroom and called for Stoney, who jogged up the stairs with a concerned look on his face. “What’s wrong?”

“Sorry, nothing. I just need to grab his PJs, so can you make sure he doesn’t drown?”

“I’m not gonna drown, Auntie,” Felix called.

“Make sure he doesn’t drown,” I countered in a whisper, and Stoney chuckled, stepping into the bathroom.

I grabbed clean clothes for Felix, turned down his bed, and set his book on the end of it, before grabbing a towel from the hall closet and walking back into the bathroom.

  “You ready?”

“Yep,” Felix said, dumping a bucket of water over his head, then standing as he wiped his face.

I handed Stoney a towel and he looked at it, then me.

“Wrap it around him, and lift him out,” I directed.

Felix opened one eye, lifting his hands and Stoney wrapped the towel around him and lifted him out of the bath, loosening the towel so he could dry his hair, then letting Felix do the rest.

“Go get dressed, bud,” I said. “Then your dad’ll come read to you.”

“Okay,” Felix said, padding to his bedroom.

“I’m going to pour myself a glass of wine while you do sleep duty,” I said. “I’ll just say goodnight, then meet you downstairs.”

Stoney raised and eyebrow. “Oh, really?”

“Yep.” I grinned. “It’s nice to have a break.” I walked into Felix’s room, hugged and kissed him goodnight, then went downstairs and opened a fresh bottle of wine.

I could seriously get used to this.

  Sabrina

Friday arrived and I was so unbelievably excited to see my bestie, I could barely contain it. I dropped Felix off at my parents’ right after school, then headed home to get ready.

Viviana wanted to hit up Nocturn after dinner. It was a great nightclub downtown, and I decided it would be better to grab a rideshare rather than drive, so she parked in my driveway and we finished getting ready at my place.

Viviana was a drop-dead gorgeous redhead as feisty as her hair would suggest. She was tall and athletic, a track star in high school, so much so, she got a full ride to university. She chose optometry as her specialty and finished her degree two years early. She was kind of a rock star.

“Can you help me with these eyelashes, please?” I said, holding the package out.

“But of course,” she said. “Have a seat.”

“So, what’s up with that Isaac guy? Did he call you back?”

She sighed, applying glue to a lash. “Yes. He’s nice. He’s just so...I don’t know...”

  “Beta?”

“I was going to say weak, but beta’s probably more accurate.” She smiled. “What about Stoney?”

“Oh, he’s alpha all the way.”

Viviana laughed. “Yeah, I got that impression. Anything happen after the kiss?”

  “More kissing,” I said.

“Whoa, really?” she asked, and I waited to answer until after she got the lashes on my right eye.

“Yes.” I sighed. “He’s so good at it, Vivi.”

  “Makes your panties melt?”

  I wrinkled my nose. “Yes.”

She grinned, leaning in to do the other lash. “Can’t wait to meet him.”

“You need to not judge him.”

“Why would I judge him?” she asked.

  “Because he’s kind of scruffy.”

She raised an eyebrow. “I don’t judge scruffy. I fuck scruffy. You judge scruffy.”

“I guess that’s fair.” I bit my lip. “He’s just so different. He seems like such a good guy, but Luca says he’s a criminal, so I’m conflicted.”

“Oh, Luca,” she said with a sigh. “Your brother thinks everyone’s a criminal. Well, every man you’ve ever wanted to date.”

I snorted. “This is sadly true.”

  “So, do a background check.”

“Oh, I am. I did a quick one online, and he appears to be clean.”

  “So...?”

“So, I called Marisol. She promised she’d look deeper and not tell Luca.”

Marisol worked in my brother’s department. She was a research analyst and she was a great resource for finding out if the guy I’m going to date is a dog.

“Well, that’s good, then,” Viviana said. “If there’s something to be found, Mari will find it.”

  “True.”

“Done,” Viviana said. “You look beautiful.”

I chuckled. “Well, next to you, that’s hard.”

“Shut the fuck up, psycho. You’re stunning.”

  I rolled my eyes. “Whatever.”

She grabbed her bag, pulling her phone out. “Okay, car will be here in eight minutes.”

We locked up the house and met the car, then headed to dinner. We, admittedly, rushed through dinner because we were both excited to try out the new club. We’d never been there before, but it had been on our wish list for a while.

Nocturn was a pretty exclusive club with high-class clientele. It wasn’t impossible to get in, but it wasn’t easy either. Luckily, Viviana had treated the owner’s kid, so our names were already at the door, and we walked in quite quickly.

A cocktail waitress led us to a small booth by the dance floor and we immediately ordered margaritas, drinking one before heading to the dance floor.

We danced until I thought my feet might fall off, heading back to our table and consuming two more margaritas. They were strong, so I started to feel the buzz pretty quickly. “Ooh, I need to stop for a bit and hydrate,” I said.

Viviana called over a waitress and ordered a couple of bottled waters, then we took a break from dancing for a few minutes. Which might have been a mistake.

  “Hello, ladies.”

I glanced up to see two men who leaned against our table and smiled down at us. One resembled Alfred E. Newman from the old Mad magazines, while the other was sort of good looking, but probably only because he was standing next to Alfie.

“Hi,” Viviana said. “You can both just keep moving. We’re here alone and we plan to leave alone.”

“You don’t have to be a bitch about it,” Alfie said.

Viv gave him the glare that could bring an army to its knees and cocked her head. “Walk away, little man, walk away.”

They grumbled under their breath, but walked away and I was once again awed by my best friend. “You are fearless.”

“Not really. I just hate assholes. They embolden me.”

I chuckled. “That’s weird, you know that, right?”

“Absolutely.” She grinned, finishing her water. “Let’s dance.”

For the next hour, we danced, we drank, and we laughed at nothing. It was one of the best nights I’d had in a long time.

  * * *

Saturday afternoon, I picked Felix up from my parents, hanging out for about an
hour in order to spend some time with my dad. I saw him the least because he was a workaholic, so I took every opportunity I could to see him.

Dad gave me a bear hug and kissed my temple. “How’s my baby?”

“I’m good, Papa. How about you?”

  “Livin’ the dream,” he retorted.

I chuckled. My dad worked for a large human resources company in Colorado Springs. He’d been there for thirty years and would be retiring in just over a year. He was really good at what he did and still in high demand, so I wondered if a year was a pipedream. Knowing my dad, he’d probably stay longer than he should, but time would tell.

“When am I taking you out to dinner?” he asked.

Dad and I tried to go to dinner once a month, just the two of us. He always said he needed to show his girls how a man should treat them, so he took us out once a month, alone, while Mom took Luca. My parents were incredible parents, so it was even more tragic that Maria’s life spiraled.

“I can do next Tuesday. Luca has Felix.”

“Perfect. I’ll pick you up at six.”

  “Sounds good,” I said.

Stoney would be getting to my home in an hour, so I bid my parents goodbye and took Felix home. Stoney arrived early as usual, and he walked in looking edible.

  “Stop,” he warned.

  “Stop what?” I asked.

“Stop looking at me like you want to strip me naked.”

I wrinkled my nose. “You have no idea that’s what I want to do.”

  “Oh, sorry, that’s me.”

I chuckled, my face heating. “Oh my god, you’re impossible.”

He grinned, kissing me quickly, then followed me into the kitchen where Felix was coloring.

  “Hey, bud,” Stoney said.

Felix grinned for a second, then focused back on his task. “Hi. I’m drawing you a picture.”

  “You are?”

Felix nodded. “You and me on your bike, see?”

  “I see, bud. Very cool.”

I smiled, stroking Felix’s hair. “We need to get going if we’re going to have time for dinner and a movie.”

“Okay, Auntie Brina. I already brushed my teeth.”

“Thank you,” I said, grabbing our coats and walking out to the truck.

By the time we walked back into the house, I think I was more exhausted than Felix. Although, he’d fallen asleep on the drive home, so we were both pretty wrecked.
