A Simple Proposition

He nodded, and seemed to relax, so she decided he was okay with her saying no.

  “Good.”

She went to the bathroom and brushed her teeth. When she came back into the bedroom he said, “You really need to tell me a bit more. About the trying it.”

  “No I don’t.”

  “Please?”

“I just noticed someone perving at me. And I didn’t mind it. That’s all.”

  “That’s all?”

  “Yep. Want sex?”

  He grinned at her.

  “So, yes?” she said.

“Yep,” he said, and kissed her neck. “And the rest? Someone watching us have sex?”

“We’ll see,” she said. “Don’t push. Let me decide.”

He kept kissing her and didn’t answer.

  Chapter 19

am started thinking more about people looking at her. Okay, she thought a lot about being watched. At first she didn’t like the idea but then, after being the center of attention, it started to pique her interest. She liked the idea of people watching because that meant they were into her and wanted to get to know her. Yeah, there would be creeps that only wanted sex from her, but she already knew how to deal with those kinds of men. Yeah, she liked the idea of people wanting her.

Almost accidentally, she flashed a guy one day on her way to work. She probably wouldn’t have even noticed if she hadn’t been thinking about being watched anyway. Usually, at work, if she was wearing heels, she took them off when she was sitting at her desk and put them back on to go to meetings or lunch. One afternoon, leaning on the edge of her desk, fiddling with the strap on a tricky shoe, she realized that the way she had one leg bent against the other to reach, she might be showing quite a lot of thigh.

Then she realized Paul, whose office was opposite of hers, was taking advantage of the glass walls separating their offices. Oh yeah, there was no doubt that he was looking. Or was that gawking!

Sometimes it happened. Sometimes you bent over, and people looked. Some guys were creepy and that was bad. Some weren’t and that was better. Paul was an okay person, and kind of cute, and if he looked now and then he wasn’t usually that obvious, so Pam didn’t really care.

  He was looking now.

She watched him through her hair and tried not to be obvious that she was.

He was looking, but might not have completely realized it himself. It seemed like it was from habit, because her legs were there. She was fairly sure he didn’t know she’d seen him, so she stayed as she was for a moment, trying to work out how it made her feel.

It made her feel good. If she liked the person looking at her, she liked being noticed. She liked the attention.

Now she was doing it on purpose. It turned out the idea of being looked at was hot.

She started fiddling with her shoes more often if Paul was at his desk. She started kneeling the wrong way to get into low filing cabinets, or bending over to hand him something with one too many buttons of her shirt undone. She spent a week flashing Paul, then decided it was stupid, that soon people would start noticing. This wasn’t something to do at work.

She found other ways to be seen instead. She went out with friends and spent the evening crossing her legs and noticing how people looked when she did. She went for a walk and pulled off her hoodie in front of a stranger and let her shirt come up with it. She went jeans shopping at lunchtime with undies that were see-through and too small to be sensible and forgot to close the curtains properly in the changing room. She waited for a guy to ask if anyone needed a different size and handed him the jeans and stood there while he looked.

Then she got embarrassed and said never mind and left.

She decided she needed to talk to Steve before this went much further.

“So maybe on the being watched…” she said to Steve that night, getting ready for bed.

“Okay,” he said. “How do you mean?”

“I tried it. I think I like being looked at. So, maybe it’d be okay with someone else watching us. Maybe.”

  He was looking at her.

  “What?” she said.

  “You tried being looked at?”

“Yeah,” she said, and pulled up her tee shirt to flash him. “I tried it. So what?”

  “Nothing,” he said.

“Good.” She went and brushed her teeth.

When she came back into the bedroom he said, “You really need to tell me a bit more. About the trying it.”

  “No I don’t.”

  “Please?”

“I just noticed someone perving at me. And I didn’t mind it. That’s all.”

  “That’s all?”

“Yep.” She gave him a small smile. “Want sex?”

  He grinned at her.

  “So yes?” she said.

“Yep,” he said, and kissed her neck. “And the rest? Someone watching us have sex?”

“We’ll see,” she said. “Don’t push. Let me decide.”

He kept kissing her and didn’t answer.

  Chapter 20

few nights later, Pam started to have second thoughts about whether or not this was a good idea. After all, it wasn’t that long ago that Steve was having buyer’s remorse. Okay, not buyer’s remorse but while his one head wanted to watch Pam with a lover, his other head was having jealousy issues.

One thing that puzzled Pam was how Steve wasn’t jealous about Mike. Whenever Mike came over, Steve would try to push things to happen, but she wasn’t comfortable with that since it’s never wise to mix friends with bedroom stuff. Or was it? Maybe she was being closed minded on including Mike? Something for her to ponder.

While she was ready to try something new, and right now something other than Mike, Pam fretted over creating issues or problems with Steve. Steve said he would be fine, but he’d said that last time and hadn’t been. She wasn’t sure she should trust him again to know his own feelings when he might turn out to be completely wrong.

She thought a lot, but all the thinking didn’t help. She was agitated. She caught herself being very short with others. She felt disheveled, and she had trouble sitting down to do anything. And she was horny all the time, impatiently waiting for Steve to come home when she planned to jump him. She was just thinking about sex too much, trying to decide.

Pam thought about her toys to settle herself but knew that this itch could only be appeased by a man.

That weekend she walked around the house in only her thong, just to see how it felt. To make sure that if they tried this, she wouldn’t get embarrassed and suddenly want to stop and try and check whether Steve would care. She stood next to the front windows with the curtains open in view of the street. Steve watched her. He seemed curious at first. Then he started smirking like he knew some secret.

Pam turned to face him. “What?”

“You.” Steve smiled enjoying the view. “You and how you do what you do.”

  “What does that mean?”

  “I love you, that’s all.”

“Oh.” She was caught off guard by his comment but decided that it was good.

Steve kept watching her, but she decided his look wasn’t the same as a stranger sneaking a glance at her. Steve could look at her any old time. It didn’t have the same thrill as new eyes.

“Is this because of the thing?” Steve said after a while.

Pam looked over. She stayed beside the window. “Maybe,” she said.

Even though he was dealing with his jealousy issues, Steve still wanted more. His desire to watch her with another man was overpowering. “Have you decided anything?”

  “I’m thinking about it.”

  He gave a cocky grin.

“I think after your reaction, well, I need a push,” Pam finally blurted out. “I think I need this to just happen. I don’t want you to plan the entire night out, but I need for you to decide everything first.”

“Okay.” Steve walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her.

  “It’s kind of cold
and unreal that we are even talking about this, let alone what we’ve done so far, you know?”

Steve just gave her a squeeze.

In her soft sexy voice she said, “Like this. It worked before, talking about it so much, but it seems weird now.”

Steve nodded. “Okay. So what are you saying?”

“That I need a push. I can feel how you want this, unless you have a flashlight in your pocket. I want this, too. But like I said, I need a push for us to continue.”

  “You’re sure?”

Pam stood there. “I think so.”

  “Really sure?”

“No.” She broke free from his embrace. “But I think so.”

Steve thought a moment, then the idea came to him. He knew that Pam was a closet exhibitionist and felt that now was the time to free her from society’s bonds. Steve picked Pam up and carried her like a Barbie doll to the back door and then carefully put her in the middle of the deck in their back yard.

Once Steve delivered his goods, he walked back inside and closed the storm door.

Pam hesitated as the wave of arousal washed over her body, even though she knew their back yard backed up to an easement and the trees and shrubs would protect her from stranger’s eyes. As far as she could see there were no lights on in any of the neighbors’ houses. The street that they lived on was very quiet and most of the neighbors would be sound asleep by now.

“What are you doing?” Pam called out as quietly as she could.

  “Just come here.”

  “I don’t know that I want to.”

“Okay. But if you do, come here.”

She stayed where she was. “What’re you doing?”

“Giving you a push. Come and stand here.”

She tiptoed across the deck. Wearing only her thong was quite sexy in a weird way.

  “Okay,” she said.

“Go to the front and unlock my truck. The garage door opener is inside and that’s how you can get back inside the house,” Steve instructed.

She looked at him and wondered if she should.

“Dare you! Unless you are chicken,” he said, knowing that would get her goat.

Pam hesitated, looking around and thinking about the front of their house. She felt confident that the shrubs would keep her hidden. What a sight to behold if anyone was seeing her as a naked cat burglar.

“I’m going to close the door now,” Steve said.

Pam stood at the back door. The wood deck felt cold against her bare feet. She was almost naked. She folded her arms over her chest.

“Do you want me to?” Steve said.

Pam didn’t look back. “Fine,” she blurted defiantly knowing that Steve would come to regret his actions. She would prove him wrong.

  Steve shut the door.

  Then he locked it.

Pam heard it lock and suddenly started to worry.

“Steve,” she said quietly. “Hey, unlock it.”

  “No.”

“Fuck,” Pam said, scared. “Fuck. Open it.”

She heard his near mocking laugh. “I’m giving you a push.”

“Open the fucking door,” she said, angry.

  “A push, remember?”

  “Steve, fuck.”

“I’ll open it if you want me to,” Steve called. “But then you chickened out.”

  She didn’t say a word.

“You know how to get into my truck.”

Pam hesitated, then ran around the side of the house. Still not free from her bonds, she peeked making sure that no one was out and about. She could feel Steve’s presence looking out their living room window waiting for her to make her way around. While terrified inside, she stuffed down her emotion and walked proudly past the bay window towards his truck, acting like she didn’t have a care in the world.

Making her way to his truck somehow her fear turned to arousal, soaking her thong.

Opening his truck door she felt the light hit her body. She didn’t hide, but it did take everything she had to stop from flinching and covering up. She stood there like a proud peacock showing her charms to the world. She pressed the remote then locked his truck door. Now she walked slowly towards the garage basking in the garage door light.

Steve was at the door, holding it open. Pam ran inside and pushed it shut, then leaned on the wall beside him and wanted to laugh. To laugh, or get drunk, or stand there swearing.

“Fuck,” she said in the end. “Asshole, that wasn’t cool.”

“I told you I was going to.”

  “Shut it. Not lock it.”

  He kept grinning.

“Not make me run around naked.”

  “You liked it.”

  “I know, but fuck. Still.”

  “Was it hot?”

She glared at him and didn’t want to admit it, but then said, “Yes.”

  “How hot?”

She pulled him over, tugged his jeans open, pushed her thong down and showed him.

All this was good, but it didn’t ease the faint agitation she felt. She wanted something. She wanted more than suburban pranks and the risk of being seen. She wanted to do something like what Steve had suggested; she just wasn’t quite sure if they should.

  Chapter 21

am wandered around their home naked for another hour trying to get a reaction out of Steve. She surprised herself as to how comfortable she started to feel, until Steve blurted, “Just order a pizza and go to the door naked.”

“I can’t,” she said, then stopped and actually thought about it. “Can I?”

“You’re hot. The guy won’t care.”

“Of course you think I’m hot.” She grabbed her breasts. “But that’s not the same.”

“You’re a chick. You are naked. You will make his night.”

She stood there for a moment looking at him.

“You’re hot,” he said. “Shit, of course you’re hot.”

“Careful,” she said, but called to order a pizza. Then she sat on the couch in the living room, waiting, holding the money ready in her hand. After a few minutes she said, “Topless or naked?”

  “What turns you on more?”

She sat there and almost wanted to scream. “Naked.”

“So there you go, be naked.”

She stood there giving him one last moment to think about it. After he called her chicken several times there was no way he would get away with that. She was going to get one over on him. Standing there naked, nervous, and turned on, she couldn’t think as her mind raced and body came alive. She actually bit her nails a little.

“Maybe just my tits,” she said.

  “Whichever you want.”

She picked up her underwear, then put it down again. “Naked,” she said.

  The doorbell rang.

Pam sat there and didn’t move. Part of her wanted to scream and run into their bedroom to hide under her thick soft comforter.

  It rang again.

  “Are you…” Steve said.

She shook her head no and said, “You get it.”

He grinned and kissed her, and took the money from her hand.

Pam stayed where she was and listened. She was a few feet from the pizza guy and was really only hidden by a half-closed door.

She couldn’t decide what she felt.

Steve came back into the room and put the pizza box on the coffee table, then sat next to Pam and put his arm around her.

“We don’t have to do anything,” he said. “Nothing you don’t want to.”

“It just felt too creepy,” Pam said. “Some poor guy going about his day and then me there in his face.”

  “He wouldn’t have minded.”

  “He might have.”

  “I’ll bet he wouldn’t.”

“You don’t know that,” Pam said. “And it’s wrong. So don’t tell me it isn’t.”
