Mr. Lu Chi chuckled. “I never crossed you. I am a businessman. And the minute that you forgot that, you crossed yourself.” He sat back, feeling he had regained footing.

“And I’m a coldhearted muthafucka. And the minute you forgot that, you crossed yourself.” Kayson grabbed the bag and placed it on the table. “Today, our business is done. Here is the last of your money.”

Again, Mr. Lu Chi chuckled. “Last? There is not a last to this. You are in this until the day you die. And right now I control that,” he said with a smug attitude.

Kayson nodded. “Well, I guess you won.”

“Of course. I hold all the cards, and when I’m done playing, I will cash them in and walk away with the prize.” He paused. “When they came to me to help with their plan to get rid of you, I started to turn them down. They offered me money and powerful friendships, but I have all that. Then I realized, what I really am is a collector of rare things. You being the rarest thing I could collect, I figured I could add your head to my collection,” he smoothly stated.

Kayson sat calmly looking at Mr. Lu Chi’s arrogant disposition. “Thank you for being true to yourself.”

“And thank you for being a good boy.” He leaned forward and unzipped the bag. A smile came over his face when he saw all the neatly stacked bills. “Just make sure you have my money on time.” He looked up at Kayson and then reached in the bag to collect a stack.

“Ahhh . . . shit!” he yelled as he drew back his hand. There were two holes with blood oozing from them. His eyes widened as a small spider crawled from the bag.

“You feel that? That is the sting of greed.” Kayson looked at Mr. Lu Chi holding his chest and pulling at his tie, gasping for air. The venom coursed through his veins, triggering his already massive heart problems.

“The wandering spider is one of the most-deadliest spiders in the world. Something I picked up from your friend, Mr. Odoo. The thing I like most about him is he will sit back and let you get dangerously close, and then he strikes.” Kayson watched as his once friend and mentor struggled for life. “You once told me that loyalty is everything. Then you crossed me. Never cross the man that has nothing on his side but a bad bitch and a big ass gun.” Kayson pulled out his silver 9- millimeter with a black diamond handle and put two in Mr. Lu Chi’s chest, making sure to hit him in the heart. “Muthafucka!” He grabbed the bag of money, pulled his hood over his head, and headed to the door.

Rock pulled up to Sandra’s house, parked, and then moved swiftly to the door. His mind was all over the place and anxiety high. He was hoping KoKo wasn’t hurt or injured.

Knocking on the door, he impatiently waited for someone to answer.

Sandra opened the door with paranoia in her eyes.

“What’s wrong?” he asked as he pushed past her. When he saw KoKo standing behind her with a gun to her head, he froze in his spot.

“What the fuck is going on?”

“You sent this bitch after me?” she asked, one hand on Sandra’s shoulder and the other one with the gun cocked and loaded at her head.

  “Sent her after you?”

“My people saw this bitch with a brass shield! Did you know this bitch was working for the po-po?” KoKo yelled, pushing her to the floor.

Rock looked at her for a few seconds, and then looked down at Sandra, who was on the floor shaking and afraid.

“What the fuck is she talking about?”

“Rock, please. You don’t want to do this. She ain’t worth it.” He looked at KoKo and then looked back at Sandra. Rock reached in his jacket, pulled out his .45, and shot her in the knee.

“Ahhhhh . . .” she shrieked as she grabbed her leg.

“The one thing I hate more than a liar, is fucking pig!” He shot her in the other knee.

  “Rock, please!” she cried out.

“Please what!” Rock was in full murder role. “How much this bitch cost you?” he growled.

“She almost cost me my life,” KoKo answered.

“There is nothing better than a snitch except a dead one.” He aimed and shot her in her chest. Rock stood over Sandra with his gun at his side. Not even looking up, he asked, “Me and you good?”

  “For now,” KoKo said.

“Go ‘head. I got this. It’s my mess. I’ll clean it up,” he ordered.

“I hope your trust in this bitch don’t cost me anything else,” she warned as she walked away.

  Happily Ever After

Six months had passed, and Kayson and KoKo were enjoying the married life. With all that they had been through, they deserved all the happiness in the world.

Kayson relocated Goldie and the immediate crew, sold all the property in St. Croix, and then moved to another island in Dubai. Before Baseem went underground, Kayson put him on Detective Greg and Damien. With the help of Porcha and Shameezah he did them real dirty, a perfect going away present for Mr. and Mrs. Wells. Once Kayson and KoKo were safe, Mocha released Yuri to Mr. Odoo with a stern warning, making him realize he was not untouchable. Forcing him to back the fuck up. Tyquan had gone on the run, leaving them one enemy unaccounted for, but Kayson vowed to continue his search. Keisha remained in their care while recovering, and yes, Mrs. KoKo was on house arrest again. Kayson had set their life on a new path and was working with KoKo on stopping the chase of the demons of the past.

“Oh shit!” Kayson moaned out as he slow stroked KoKo from the back. Shortly after, he was releasing long and hard. He looked down at the sweat glistening on her back and placed soft kisses up and down her spine. Then he whispered in her ear, “Doggie in the morning. The breakfast of champions.” He chuckled as he pulled out and stood up.

“You are so spoiled,” she stated as he pulled her to her feet. “Sheeit . . . I’m not spoiled. I’m blessed.” He kissed her lips.

  “Whatever, Mr. Spoiled.”

Kayson admired her sexy body as she walked to the bathroom. He had missed her being pregnant with Quran, and was enjoying watching her belly swell and was staying close to home so as not to miss anything.

“What are we doing today?” she asked as she adjusted the water.

“I can’t think right now. I’m fucked up.”

“Get it together, Boss. You owe me a date. I want to have my last hurrah before your daughter invades my life.”

“I’m trying to pull it together, but my nigga Trae said it best. Pregnant pussy is to die for.”

KoKo laughed. “You are so stupid. Well, I’ma tell you right now, you ain’t gonna have a bitch bloated every year, so get that shit outta ya head. I ain’t Tasha Macklin.”

“Whatever. You gonna do what I tell you,” he said, coming up behind her and reaching around to rub her stomach. KoKo leaned back and rested her head on his chest.

“Thank you, baby,” he said. “For what?”

  “Loving me.”

“I told you I will love you a day past forever, and if I go first, I’ma haunt yo’ ass for the rest of your life.”

Kayson burst out laughing, “That’s fucked up. How you gonna rest in peace?”

“You get another woman, it ain’t gonna be no peace. I’ma be up in your house rattling shit and knocking shit over.”

“That’s selfish. You gonna let all this good dick go to waste?” he joked.

“No, ‘cause I’m taking that muthafucka with me.” They both burst out laughing. “You crazy as hell.”

  “And don’t forget it.”

Within the hour, KoKo, Kayson, and Quran were so fresh and so clean, ready for a family day out.

Kayson smiled, watching as KoKo tried to keep up with Quran with her big belly.

Their family day was just about over, and Kayson had KoKo drive him to the airport. He needed to meet up with Baseem to handle some business. Then he was going to be stationary until the baby was born.

“I’ll be right back,” he said, kissing KoKo on the lips. “Bye, daddy.” Quran grabbed him around the neck.

  “Why you always bloc
king?” he said, pulling him to the front seat.

“I’m not blocking.” He giggled as Kayson tickled his neck.

He pulled him into his arms and hugged him tight. “See you in two days.” Kayson put his fist out. “You’re the man of the house. Hold it down for me.”

“Okay.” Quran hit his fist and then crawled to the back. Kayson leaned over and kissed KoKo again.

“Hurry up back. I think your daughter wants outta here.” She looked down at her belly.

“Trust me. I will not miss this one being born.” He hopped out and shut the door.

KoKo watched until he was inside the private plane. “Mommy, what’s blocking?” Quran asked.

“It’s what your father does to keep me from being in charge.” She smiled.

“Why you wanna be in charge? Daddy’s in charge.” “Fasten your seat belt.” KoKo shook her head and pulled

  off.

Quran shrugged his shoulders, buckled up, and looked out the window.

An hour later, Quran and KoKo walked into the house. She fixed them a little snack and an ice cream sundae. Later that evening, she put Quran in the tub. Dressed in his pajamas, he joined KoKo in the living room for their movie night. The moment she saw his eyes closing in the middle of their Disney movie, she tucked him in her bed. KoKo picked up his toys and then cleaned the kitchen.

On her way to the shower, she checked the alarms, peeked in on him, and placed her gun under her fluffy pillow.

As KoKo lathered up, she felt a slight tightness in the bottom of her stomach.

“Don’t you start, little girl. Your daddy is not here. I need two more days.” She looked down at her stomach.

By the time she got out, she felt a few more pains, and they were sharper.

“Not now, momma.” She walked to the closet and grabbed a sundress. She wanted to be dressed just in case.

KoKo lay down and dialed the phone on the plane. “Hey, baby. You miss me already?” Kayson asked. “Yes, of course. But I think I’m in labor.”

  Kayson got quiet. “What happened?”

“When I got in the shower the games began. You know this is your fault.”

  “How is it my fault?”

  “You and your doggie style.”

“You and your ‘not until six weeks’. The Enforcer don’t play that.”

  “Whatever!”

“I’m on my way back. Keep me posted.”

“Okay, baby. Hurry!” KoKo felt another sharp pain.

She tried to remain calm and fall asleep, but the pain and pressure began to take over. She got up and attempted to walk to the kitchen to get some water. When she turned the corner, she felt a heavy object hit her head, and then she saw black. “Wake up, KoKo,” she heard the soft yet commnding voice say.

Struggling to open her eyes and lift her head, she sat half way up and got the shock of her life. Keisha stood over her with a gun in her hand.

“What the fuck!” KoKo mumbled. She tried to move her hand, but it was cuffed to the pipe under the kitchen sink.

KoKo yanked her shackled hands, trying to break free. “What are you doing?” she asked, trying to bring her head to her hands. And as she did so, she pulled back a handful of blood. KoKo tried to speak as calm as possible.

“See, I tried to be patient. I tried to wait and see if the animals would wipe themselves out, but you are fucking relentless. I put Mo on you. I put Boa on you. I even put the cops on you, and for some reason you just won’t fade the fuck out!”

“What the fuck is wrong with you?” KoKo looked partly confused and shocked.

“You’re what’s wrong with me. You’re the reason Malik did not love me. You’re the reason why my daughter is gone!” she yelled.

“I am your daughter.” KoKo tried to bring her back to reality.

Keisha laughed hard and loud while holding her stomach. “You are soooooo stupid. Didn’t Tyquan tell you to open your eyes?” She leaned down toward her. “I am not your mother. Nine tried to tell you everything. I kept telling Mo, ‘That bitch is smart. She is going to figure this whole thing out. But Mo said, No she won’t.’ It was the death of her, but I ain’t going out like that.” She leaned in and held the chain in her face and with gritted teeth she continued. “You took my Star. She was all I had in this world. You owe me, and just when I was about to cash in, that nosey husband of yours fucked with the accounts. Now, I need you to tell me where my money is.”

“I don’t know shit about your money,” KoKo said as the crease in her forehead appeared.

“I figured you would say that. So I guess I will have to go to plan B.” Keisha pulled a metal object from a bag and walked over to the stove. She turned the fire up high and placed the object on the flame.

“This is all about money?” KoKo asked as a sharp pain struck her stomach and back. Her head throbbed.

“It has always been about money.” She leaned back down. “They owe me. I sacrificed everything, and I want what’s coming to me. They didn’t give it to me, but you will.” She stood and walked back to the stove.

KoKo could hear her phone ringing incessantly. She knew Kayson was calling her back to back.

“So where did you say my money was?” Keisha asked, coming toward her with the hot object.

  “Fuck you!” KoKo shouted.

Keisha stepped over her and placed the red, hot tip on her leg.

“Ahhh!” KoKo yelled out as the pain shot through her body.

  “You still don’t know?”

“I don’t know shit!” KoKo spat in her face.

Keisha smiled, wiped the saliva away, and then burned KoKo again.

“Muthafucka!” KoKo screamed out this time. The pain was so severe, her water broke.

Keisha went back to the stove. “Let’s see how much Kayson will love you with the skin burned off your pretty little face.” Keisha placed the object back on the fire.

Tears came to KoKo’s eyes, but she would not let them fall.

Keisha pulled up a chair and looked at her watch. “I gotta let it get good and hot.” She crossed her legs.

  “Bitch, you better kill me.”

“Oh, don’t worry. I am. But I want to do it real slow. While we wait, I want to tell you a few things. I don’t know if you knew this, but Monique really did like your little orphan you’re going to leave behind. We had so many arguments over if we should kill you or not. She was real conflicted. Thank god you got to her because she was really getting ready to fuck things up with her guilty conscience. Especially when her son came back into the picture. And Boa, you must have been fucking him real good because he was flip-flopping. Mo had to pay him big time, and if Boa’s suicidal girlfriend wouldn’t have pulled her stunt, I would have been living free by now.

She paused and looked at her watch again. “Oh well, water under the bridge.” She rose to her feet, heading toward the stove.

Again, KoKo could hear her phone ringing off the hook. “Bitch, you better hide good because Kayson will not rest until your grave is cold.”

Keisha turned toward KoKo and then squatted beside her to look in her eyes. “I’m not afraid of your husband.” She smirked. “To be truthful, you have no idea who he really is,” she stated, lowering her eyes. “Let me ask you something.” Keisha shifted her weight from one side to the other. “When he crawls between your thighs and gives you all that power inch by glorious inch, making you see what he wants you to see, hear what he wants you to hear, feel what he wants you to feel, rendering you incabale of thought and control.” She paused. “Can you really say you know who he is? You climbed into a dangerous game with some very powerful players. Each one led by their desires. Money. Power. Greed. Sex.” She chuckled. “I think they call it . . . temptation. And oh, it can be a beautiful thing in the hands of the right person, but in the hands of the wrong person, it can be deadly. And you, my dear, were dealt a very deadly hand.”

KoKo stared in her eyes, unfazed by her little speech. “Finally, your smart-ass mouth i
s closed.” Keisha slowly

stood up and headed to the stove.

KoKo’s pains were coming faster and faster. She needed to say something to distract her.

“The only thing worse than a greedy bitch is a thirsty one. Bitch, you ain’t ‘bout this life. You ain’t worthy enough to suck a dog’s dick.” KoKo looked at her with low eyes and flared nostrils.

“I didn’t climb into this game. I walked in the front door and sat right down at the muthafucking table. And I have been trumping you muthafuckas from day one.” KoKo continued to taunt her.

Keisha turned the metal object over the blazing flame as she began to feel the sting of KoKo’s words.

“While you trying to keep up with who and what I know, Tyquan played the shit outta your dumb ass,” KoKo said with a devious smile.

“What the fuck are you talking about?” Keisha picked up the hot object.

“It’s okay. He’s that type of man. Fuck a bitch then trick a bitch.”

“You don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about!”

“I can’t tell. He’s laid up with Deborah right now, while you’re standing here broke. I guess your pussy wasn’t as good as you thought it was,” KoKo said, trying to throw her off her square.

  Keisha thought for a minute.

“Yeah, look at you. You’re weak. He don’t want no weak, broke bitch.”

Keisha’s breathing quickened with every word. She threw the object across the room, barely missing KoKo’s head.

She reached in her robe pocket and grabbed her gun. Breathing heavy, she pointed the gun at KoKo’s head. “You don’t know what you’re talking about. Tyquan loves me. He has always loved me!” she yelled.

  “Bitch, you’re weak!” KoKo taunted.

“You and that fucking Sabrina took everything from me!” She stood, shaking and crying. “Now I’ma take everything from you.” She pointed the gun at KoKo’s stomach.

“You can take whatever you want. But the only thing I won’t give you is my soul.” KoKo closed her eyes.

When she heard the first shot, she braced herself for the pain but didn’t feel anything. Slowly, she opened her eyes and saw Keisha fall to her knees coughing up blood. Then her head hit the kitchen floor.
