  Acknowledgments

Thank you to my wonderful agent, Beth Miller. Before I started querying all those years ago, I had a very clear idea of what I wanted in an agent, and you have surpassed even my highest expectations. I am so lucky to have you in my corner. Thank you for all your hard work, support, and dedication.

Thank you to Karen Grove, editor extraordinaire. Your commitment to this story means so much to me, and I feel very honored to have you as my editor for a second time. You are a joy to work with.

To the entire Entangled family, a heartfelt thank you.

To Marisa Reichardt and Elise Robins, thank you for being the best CPs I could ask for. This one was a labor of love, and I am so grateful for your notes, suggestions, and support. Marisa, I’m guessing we consumed at least a few gallons of Starbucks during this one. Thanks for all the chats and pep talks. Elise, thank you for your keen insight, helpful notes, and the eleventh hour motivation. Team SHC forever!

Thanks to Christie Stanger for taking the time to read an earlier version of this. Your notes were invaluable and helped to shape this story.

Karen Alexander, thanks for reading numerous versions and for your vital feedback. You are amazing!

To my parents, Nancy and Don Wise, and my sister, Stephanie, thank you for your endless support. There’s not a doubt in my mind that I wouldn’t be where I am today without your love and guidance. I love you!

Thanks to my wonderful kids for cheering me on, laughing with me, and giving me the best hugs every day. I love all of you so much.

And a huge thank you to Taylor Swift for writing the song, Sparks Fly. I played it on repeat for months, wishing I could just live in the song. My love for that song led me to writing this book.

Finally, to my wonderful husband, Stuart, thanks for being my best friend, my sounding board, and the love of my life. You mean the world to me. I love you! And lest I forget, thank you for being my legal expert! (Any legal errors are definitely mine.)

And I’d feel remiss not to thank my trusty assistant, Luna. Thank you for napping with one eye open at my feet during my writing time. I’m certain you protected me with your ferocious barking from all kinds of threats, including trespassing cats, butterflies, and the howling wind.

  Cinderella and the Geek

a British Bad Boys novel by Christina Phillips

I’m not looking for love or a Happily-Ever-After because I know how that ends. I just need to concentrate on my degree and look after myself. But there’s something about my boss, Harry, I can’t resist. It’s crazy since he’s so hot and smart it should be illegal. But I’m off to pursue my dreams, and he’s taking his business to the next level. There’s no way this fairytale has a happy ending, but that doesn’t keep me from wishing for it.

  Lips Close to Mine

a Wherever You Go novel by Robin Bielman

I wasn’t supposed to see Levi Pierce ever again. A few months ago, we spent one incredible night together. End of story. Only it wasn’t. So when we fall back into bed together, I tell myself it’s temporary. Except when his lips are close to mine and he swears he’s always wanted me, my defenses disappear. But some things in life just aren’t meant to be. Or are they?

  Too Hard to Resist

a Wherever You Go novel by Robin Bielman

One rookie assistant + one demanding executive = flirting that is too hot to handle. My new boss is the gorgeous and clever Elliot Sax, but workplace hookups are against the rules. When our attraction flames hotter, our best efforts are put to the test. I never imagined having to fight my feelings for him on a daily basis and keeping my hands to myself is absolutely killing me. Until I can’t. Until we can’t. And what’s at stake becomes more than our jobs. What’s at risk is our hearts.

  Under a Storm-Swept Sky

a novel by Beth Anne Miller

An eighty-mile trek across the stunning beauty of Scotland’s Isle of Skye isn’t something I imagined myself doing. Ever. This isn’t a trail for beginners. Rory Sutherland, my guide on this adventure, is not happy. We clash with every mile, but we recognize a shared pain. The tension between us is taut with unsaid words. And hope. He’s broken. I’m damaged. Together, we’re about to make the perfect storm.
