‘I don’t remember his full name, but let me check my mobile. I have his details there,’ she said scanning her phone. ‘Got it. His name is Mr Suresh Banerjee, Sales Manager.’
‘What? Are you sure? Check it once again.’
‘Yes dear. His name is Mr Banerjee,’ she confirmed.
I could not believe it! It was the same person I had met long ago and who had shown me the right path.
He had said, ‘Love is never wrong but a girl can be.’
I wanted to tell him that both my love and my girl were right.
I wanted to tell him she loved me. I wanted to tell him she cared for me. But a few things should be left unsaid.
Some love stories can never be predicted…
Epilogue
We loved, we fought, we broke up, and now we were together again. Everyone around me was happy as I had got what I had prayed for. I had never thought such a coincidence would ever happen with me. We never met Mr Banerjee after that. He had come into our lives to bring us together. I still don’t know whether Mr Banerjee really exists?
Even though we are together today, we still miss Swapnil and Anup. We did not have their numbers, nor did Sameer. As we both had dropped a year, we never went to college. She had her job in Malad and I was busy too. Sameer was still a good friend. He always stood by my side.
Today when I have Riya back in my life, I have decided to quit smoking. I had already stopped drinking a while ago. We don’t know where Amit and Neha are. Amit had called Riya once. She did not take his call. Instead she sent him a message saying she was back in a relationship with Aditya. He never contacted us after that. Neha was out of the picture. The cold war that had started between Riya and Neha didn’t end. I did not interfere in solving it because it hardly affected our lives.
Though semesters were fast approaching, we didn’t care about studies. I did not want studies to come between us. I never talked about it in front of her. I used to go to pick her and drop her to office daily. We enjoyed rides on bike together. We had started loving each other much more than before. Mom was not aware of it yet. I waited for the right moment to tell her. When God had given me everything I had prayed for, I had rejected everything and chose a wrong path which proved destructive. I had only one aim in life—Riya. That she was going to come back into my life was something I had never expected. We both had realized our mistakes and decided to stay together forever.
Riya accepted me for she knew I was the one who could bring happiness in her life, I was the one who could love her the most, I was the one whom she could rely and trust on.
However, was Riya’s promise of love fulfilled? Was Aditya’s promise of love fulfilled?
Few things left unsaid…
Some love stories never end! Their love story has not ended yet…
