  “You’re not!” His grin threatened to split his face in two.

  “Well, yeah, if you can trust those little kits.”

  Mitch slid off the sofa and joined her on the floor, taking her in his arms and kissing her until he could barely draw breath. He could taste her relief, her joy and the love she found so hard to admit out loud. It was there, all right, invading all of his senses with its sweet fog of lust.

  “Mitch?” she whispered, her hands roving again, this time with earnest intent and serious consequence.

  “Yeah, hon?” he rasped, his own hands busy.

  She drew back and looked directly into his eyes. Hers were shining. Her smile enchanting. “You are the richest man I know.”

  “Oh, baby, tell me about it!” He couldn’t think of a thing he wanted that he didn’t have this very minute.
