Redemption (Cavan Gang #2)

“Ahh.” His lips twitched. “And if you lost, you had to cook dinner.”
“Uh-huh. Four courses.” Miller turned around. “Go sit down. All of you.”
She heard laughter as she walked away. Jerks. She let a smile slip when she was safely inside the kitchen.
“You’re not really mad at me, are you?” Natalya asked.
Miller turned with a gasp, hand on her rapidly beating heart. “You scared me half to death.”
“Sorry. I just wanted to make sure you weren’t really mad at me.”
“What happens on shopping trips stays on shopping trips,” Miller told her, working hard to keep her face stern.
Natalya’s lips twitched. “Apologies, I was not aware of that rule.”
Miller sniffed. “Now you know.”
“Can I help?”
“You can grab the milk out of the fridge.”
“Well, what do we have here?”
Miller turned to find Natalya holding up the box from the bakery where she’d purchased the cheesecake. “Cheating. Tut-tut-tut.”
“You told Aedan about our bet.”
“Truce?” Natalya held out her hand.
Miller shook it with a smile. “Truce.”
“So, did you really wear that ugly robe or did you take pity on the Easter Bunny and give him back his fur?”
Miller threw a towel at her with a laugh. “Bitch.”

“So do you believe Callahan when he said he didn’t have anything to do with Arnie’s actions?”
“He swears Arnie acted alone.”
“But do you believe him?”
“I don’t know. I think Callahan has his own agenda. He approached Miller. Told her he believed her mother’s death could be connected to the death of his father and they should feed each other information.”
Aedan raised his eyebrows. “What are you going to do?”
“I had a word with Diego.”
“Diego? Shit. When?”
“Few days ago. He said Callahan has some serious backing in the cartel and not to make a move against him unless he really pushes things. Which he might. But he was going to have a word.”
“Christ.”
“Yeah. Callahan actually apologized for approaching Miller, so Diego must have stuck to his promise.”
“Do you think your father killed Gerard Callahan?”
“It’s entirely possible.” Rogan felt guilty for not telling Aedan about what Sofia had revealed but even though he trusted Aedan implicitly, the more people who knew, the more danger Sofia would be in.
He had promised Aleksandr no one else would discover her secret. That he would protect Sofia. And he would. But he had also made it clear if she remembered anything more, then he would be the first to know. If his father had killed Gerard Callahan, he needed to make plans to deal with the fallout.
Aleksandr had been furious when Rogan and Sofia told him everything that had occurred. Rogan would be surprised if Sofia could move out of his sight until he calmed down. It should only take a year or two.
“So you finally found Lucas’s killer.”
“Yes.” He was gone. Rogan thought he would feel some sort of relief. At last, he’d achieved what he had sworn to do fifteen years ago.
Find the man who’d shot and killed his friend.
But he felt nothing. No relief. No sense of an ending or finality. He’d realized he hadn’t thought much about what he would do with him when he did find him.
“I’m glad you found her,” Aedan told him.
“What?” Rogan asked with confusion.
“Your sanctuary. The person who will give you peace. Miller. She’s your calm in the storm.”
Rogan would never have put it in those words, but Aedan was correct. When he came home to Miller, sense of relief stole over him.
She was his home.
Rogan closed the door as Natalya and Aedan left.
“Finally, I never thought they’d leave,” he said.
She smacked his chest. “They’re our friends!”
“Yes, and they’re welcome here anytime. So long as they don’t come too often or stay too long.”
She laughed. “Didn’t Aedan pretty much live here?”
He gave a mock shudder. “Yes, I was always kicking him out. He never listened to me.”
Running his hand down her back, he squeezed her ass.
“How are you feeling?”
Miller glared up at him. “Uncomfortable. You’re a sadistic man.” She squeezed her ass cheeks together, shocked as a zing of pleasure raced through her. Damn man had made her wear a butt plug all through dinner. There were times when she’d almost tackled him to the floor and had her way with him—screw Natalya and Aedan.
But she’d managed to contain herself. Just.
Rogan swept her up into his arms, holding her close. Miller wrapped her arms around his neck. She loved it when he surprised her with a romantic gesture. He carried her up the stairs to their bedroom.
“Don’t worry, baby. You won’t be uncomfortable for long.”
“Oh no?” She raised her eyebrows. “Do I get a reward for being a good girl?”
He laughed, placing her on his large bed. “I think I can manage that.”
Stepping back, he slowly undid the buttons of his shirt. Riveted, she watched as he revealed his muscular chest. Smooth skin, strong muscles, so much deliciousness she could scarcely remember to breathe. His shirt landed on the floor and he moved his hands to the top of his pants. The slow, confident way he moved only increased her need for him.
“You’re a tease.”
His pants landed on his shirt.
“You weren’t wearing boxers?” He was completely bare. Long legs, trim hips, and his thick, erect cock.
She scooted over to the edge of the bed, reaching out her hand, unable to keep from touching him.
Shaking his head, he stepped back. “No touching until I say so. Stand and take off your dress.”
“No fair. If I’d known you were going commando, I’d have—”
“Joined me?”
“Hell no. What if that damn butt plug had popped out?” How humiliating would that have been? At least, her panties had given her some measure of reassurance her secret was safe from Aedan and Natalya.
She pulled her dress off, throwing it onto the pile of clothes. She’d never thought she’d be so relaxed about being naked. But the way he watched her, as though she was the most important thing in his world, gave her the confidence to do almost anything.
“Now the bra.”
Teasing him now, she moved slowly, undoing the front clasp then peeling off one cup then the other. Her nipples became hard pebbles under his hungry gaze, the erotic satisfaction on his face spiking her own desire.
“Panties.”
She bit her lip. How to do this without risking the plug moving?
“It won’t fall out.” But he extended a hand to her. “Hold onto me.”
Giving him a grateful smile, she slipped her panties down one leg then the other until she stood naked in front of him.
“Well, what now?” she asked.
He grinned. “You still have to ask me that?”
“I didn’t mean it like that. I meant, are you going to take the plug out?”
“I thought I’d remove the plug while I give you your reward.”
Her breath caught as he closed the space between them, pulling her flush against him. The warmth of his body singed her skin, nerve endings pulsed, and shocks of need jolted her every time her nipples brushed him.
“Rogan,” she breathed.
“I know. I know.” Cupping her face, he kissed her deeply. “Lie back. Ass at the edge of the bed. Legs bent and feet flat on the mattress.”
This position put her completely on show. There was nowhere to hide. But she didn’t need to, not from him.
“Beautiful.” Kneeling on the floor, he slid his tongue between the lips of her pussy. “You’re wet.”
“I’
ve been wet all damn evening.”
“Poor baby. Did the plug make you all horny?” He grabbed the base of the plug, turning it, and she gasped.
“Oh yeah, it, your voice, your laugh, your scent, the way you move, even the way you chew, I have it so bad.”
“The way I chew?” He glanced up, startled.
“I know. There’s something seriously wrong with me.”
With a chuckle, he moved to her clit, circling it with his tongue. A pulsing started deep inside her, growing with each stroke of his tongue. He pushed the plug in and out of her hole. Miller gripped the bed cover beneath her, fighting against her orgasm. She wanted this to last, but she’d been on fire for him all night.
The orgasm ambushed her, stealing her away with a rush of warmth. Aftershocks rocked her as he drew the plug from her ass.
She watched through dazed eyes as he stood and grabbed a tube of lube from the bedside table, pouring some onto his hands then rubbing it over his cock.
“Ready for me, a thasice?”
“As I’ll ever be.”
Rogan positioned himself between her legs then, leaning in, kissed her deeply as he pushed his cock between her ass cheeks.
“Breathe in,” he commanded. “Then let it out slowly.”
As she slowly breathed out, he pushed inside her.
“So damn tight.”
“Tell me about it,” she muttered.
“You doing okay?” he asked, pausing. If she was in any pain, he’d put an end to it.
“Yeah, it just feels a bit odd. But I think I like it.”
Reaching between them, he flicked her clit. “I know how to make you love it.”
Her eyes widened, her breath coming faster. “You sure do.”
“Damn, you feel good. So fucking good.”
“You, too. Move more. Oh hell, yeah.” She bit her lip, her face flushing. She’d never looked more gorgeous.
His balls tightened, pressure building until he knew he was close to exploding. In and out. She surrounded him, enveloped him.
“Please tell me you’re close,” he muttered.
“Come. Come for me, Rogan.” She gripped his ass, holding him tight. “Come.”
He yelled as he exploded inside her. As the first wave of release washed through him, she came around, her ass clenching down on his cock, increasing the wave of pleasure.
Exhausted, he collapsed beside her.
He might never have all the words. He couldn’t always share what was going on in his life. He’d probably smother and frustrate her.
But he would always love her.
“I love you, Rogan,” she whispered.
“So do I, a thasice. So do I.”
