Flint

“What?”
“I’m falling for you.”
“I’m falling for you, too.”
“Amber, once I’m inside you … that’s it for me. Do you understand what I’m saying? You’ll be mine. Only mine.”
I feel her legs wrap around my lower back, her ankles locking behind me. “Good.”
Lowering myself, I let her soft hands guide my cock to her entrance. I promise to take it slow, despite how much torture it’ll be for me. My cock wants to go fast and hard inside that tight pussy. But Amber’s pleasure will always come first.
I push inside, one inch at a time, giving her a chance to adjust as I move deeper inside that sweet cunt. Fuck me she feels so perfect. She feels like … forever.
Once I’m fully seated, I slowly slide out. Then all the way back in. She gasps. “Are you okay?”
“I’m more than okay, Flint. You feel so good.” She purrs that last word, giving me permission to increase the pace. She rocks her hips with mine, meeting me thrust for gentle thrust. I could do this all night long and never tire of it. The feeling of being inside her is the best feeling I’ve ever experienced.
“Baby, I think I might be in love with you.”
Amber laughs at me. “Tell that when your cock’s not buried inside me.”
She thinks I’m only saying it because of the immense pleasure I’m experiencing, but she’s wrong. I’m in love with Amber Benson, one hundred and ten percent. A part of me has known it since the moment I first met her, but it took this intimate act to realize the full truth.
“I’m going to marry you, just so you know.”
She digs nails into my shoulders. “Shut up and go faster.”
With the increased pace comes the tumbling around in the sheets. The passion explodes as we take turns on top. Our legs lock together and she holds onto me so tightly, like she can’t quite get close enough. That’s how my cock feels buried inside her—like it’ll never quite be deep enough.
We roll right onto the floor, our most intimate connection still withheld. With our climax too close and building too fast, neither of us care that we’ve abandoned the bed. I grab onto her ass and slam into her as we both groan and cry out.
It’s so fucking intense I’m sure I’m dreaming. Or at least in an alternate reality.
Unable to hold back any longer, we both fall over the edge together. Her pussy convulses around my cock seconds before my load blows inside her depths. I hold her close against me, releasing my seed—my claim on this woman I love—as deep as it’ll go.
I’m completely in love with Amber Benson, and I’m going to do whatever it takes to prove it to her.

AMBER
Flint is right. The sunrise illuminates the master suite, revealing all of the wonderful secrets it hid in the dark last night. It’s the icing on the cake to waking up in his strong arms. I want to memorize this feeling so I can carry it with me all day long.
“Good morning, beautiful,” he says to me as his eyes slowly flutter open.
“Morning.”
I place a gentle kiss on his lips, not surprised it turns into several more. We’re both still very naked from last night’s festivities. The tent Flint is pitching suggests he’s up for another round if I am.
Pulling back the sheet, I climb on top of Flint.
“Good morning indeed,” he says with that sexy smirk of his.
I lower myself onto his hard shaft, still amazed how his massive cock fits so perfectly inside me. As the sunrise brightens the room, our bodies rock together. We take our time letting our climax build.
A nagging voice in the back of my head reminds me Flint still hasn’t told me about the partnership decision. I shove it away, refusing to think about it until after we’ve both seen morning stars behind our eyes.
“Come for me, baby.” Flint shackles his strong hands on my hips, increasing my speed.
The explosion of pleasure is magical and intense. Everything I remembered from last night …and more. Flint said he loved me. Though I’m not sold on his declaration made in the heat of passion, I think I might love him.
After a shower where we both get carried away once again, Flint leaves me upstairs to check some work emails while he starts breakfast. I like to get a jump start on my day, and I love that he understands.
I love Flint.
The thought overwhelms me, bringing tears of happiness to the corners of my eyes. But I know it’s true. The partnership doesn’t matter as much as what I feel for him. I suspect the news he has to deliver isn’t what I want to hear. But I’ll find another way to beat that weasel.
FLINT
After I’ve plated breakfast, I hurry back upstairs to save Amber from getting too far sucked into work emails. There will be all day for that, but this morning is still mostly mine.
While I was waiting for her to come downstairs, I made one last appeal to my brothers. I asked them to let her pitch her idea to us in person. Without interrupting her until she finished. That last caveat was really important. I had to promise to pick up extra tasks for all three of them this coming week to get them to agree, but I know the cost is worth it.
They agreed.
I take the stairs two at a time.
“I’m done with him!” I hear Amber’s voice down the hall. She sounds fiery and irritated. “He’s caused me enough problems. I’m over it. I’ve over him. I don’t need any of this anymore. He’s not worth all the trouble.”
I blink hard, certain I’m in a dream or something. This doesn’t sound like the sweet, determined Amber I’ve come to know. This sounds like a woman dead set on knocking over anyone who would dare get in her way.
Is she talking about me? I try to harden my emotions, but the hurt comes through anyway. It splinters me right to the heart. Was she … using me this whole time? Did she somehow find out my brothers weren’t on board and now she’s going to toss me away like I’m nobody?
My instinct is to hurry back downstairs before she sees me so I can collect myself. But her next words pack too much of a shock.
“Make no mistake. He’s going down, and he’s going down hard. That weasel doesn’t know I have an ace in my pocket.”
Ace in her pocket?
I step into the room instead of fleeing, not sure what I’ve heard now. But it seems more likely that the second statement applies to me than the first. “Amber, am I the ace in your pocket?”
“Flint!” She drops her phone and it crashes to the floor. She scrambles to collect it to hit the end call button. Her towel falls off in the process, and dammit if my dick doesn’t twitch. It hasn’t realized what the hell just happened yet.
“What did I just hear?” I want to give her the benefit of the doubt, but I’m reminded I’ve never been around Amber in work mode. Maybe she’s been putting on an act this whole time.
Amber wraps the towel around her and tosses the phone onto the bed. “You’re not the ace in my pocket, Flint.” Her voice is much softer than it was seconds ago. “Sorry you had to hear any of that.”
“Amber, I don’t understand. Were you using me then?”
“Using you?” The confusion in her eyes is genuine. “Of course not, Flint. What I feel for you—that’s all real.”
“Then what—”
She drops onto the bed and waits for me to sit beside her. Though my instinct is to wrap her in my arms, I force myself to keep space between us until I hear her out. “Dennis Black has taken the number one listing agent spot at our company every month for two years running. This month included. He wins because he plays dirty. He lies to his clients, and I’ve heard that he’s stolen clients from other agents in our office before. I didn’t believe it until it happened to me this morning.” She nods at the phone. “There’s an email if you want to read it.”
My hurt from earlier is dissipating as I realize what’s really happening here. The anguish I felt earlier is being replaced by an entirely different emotion. Once I’d like to channel while my fist
connects with this jackass’s jaw. “You called someone?”
“My broker. He doesn’t tolerate agents stealing each other’s clients. Or so I thought. He doesn’t believe me. So I quit.”
Some of the conversation I overheard makes more sense, but there are still questions. “What’s the ace in your pocket then?”
“I’ve been studying to take the broker’s exam. It’s scheduled for next week. If I pass, I can open my own brokerage. I know it’ll be a lot of work, but I don’t care. I’m tired of living in that slimeball’s shadow. I’m going to make my own legacy.”
I’m relieved that what I heard had nothing to do with what I feared. And I’m proud of her for sticking up for herself. For making a stand rather than lying down, even though it meant quitting her job. “Amber Benson, I love you more today than I did yesterday. I didn’t think that was possible.”
She turns to me, and this time when the towel falls, she lets it. “I love you too, Flint. I’m sorry if any of that you overheard made you think anything different.” Our lips meet, and I know I have about three seconds before I’ll lose my ability to think about anything else except burying my cock inside her.
“My brothers said no.”
“I didn’t expect them to be on board, Flint.” She kisses me again, clouding my head with lust. “It’s okay, really. I have a ton of clients I plan to take with me. A couple of builders I can call yet. I’ll figure it all out.”
When her hand slips into my shorts and wraps around my cock, I almost forget how to use words of any kind. I spit it out before I can’t. “They said no at first. But they agreed to let you pitch your proposal.”
“Really?”
“Yes.” My answer comes out as more a moan than a word, but it’s not my fault she’s stroking my shaft like that. “During lunch if you’re free.”
She kneels on the floor in front of me, pulling my shorts down. “I’m free.”
“Amber—”
“Tell me the rest later. I’m busy.” Her mouth descends on my cock, and every other thought except how much I love her disappears. I lean back on my elbows and watch the woman who I have no doubt is my future wife suck me off with riveting enthusiasm.
Fuck me, I’m a lucky man.
Epilogue
AMBER
“Got another offer, fellas!” I announce the second I’m inside the Ryan brother’s latest flipper. “And Thelma’s wings,” I call out when the room remains empty. It takes less than thirty seconds after that second announcement to draw all of them in.
Flint is the first one to appear. He helps me set down the cartons Thelma sent along and pulls me into his arm for a kiss. It doesn’t matter that it’s been four years. Or that we’re married with one kid and a baby on the way. His kisses still leave me dizzy, and one is never enough.
“Get a room, you two,” Easton teases.
“Don’t tempt me,” Flint replies, yanking my hand toward a bedroom down the hall. It doesn’t matter that their current project isn’t far enough along to have any furniture. The doors are up, and that’s all that matters. We’ve gotten creative on many occasions.
“Let me present the offer first?” I say, wriggling from my husband’s eager hold. I know what he’s thinking. Right now, we’re kid-free and both on lunch. I’m thinking the same thing.
“Whatcha got?” Duke asks.
“I’ll give you the highlights,” I say, eager to get my husband alone as soon as possible. The wings can wait. “Full price. Cash. Quick closing. Those sound like decent terms to you guys?”
“Amber Ryan,” Levi says, “I’ll be the first to admit I was wrong about you. You’re selling our houses faster than we can finish them.”
“That’s because Amber is a helluva realtor.” Flint pulls me back into his arms for another kiss that’s not appropriate for public eyes for long. “If you’ll excuse us, I’m going to show my wife the new tile work in that back room. Don’t come looking for us.”
