Spanking the Boss

by Hunter Frost

Why did I even care? Here it was my chance to shine, but Trent would surely fire me. And if not, his judgment would be clouded. He’d ruin my chances of getting anywhere.

For his sake, I didn’t want to make a scene. I was just starting out, but he had much more to lose. A scandal could set him back or take him out of the running completely. I had no choice. The right thing to do was endure the meeting for as long as Trent would allow. Then beg forgiveness. I didn’t want to lose my job, but knowing I’d wronged him made me more upset. I’d violated his trust and left him hanging.

I was vaguely aware that Naomi was introducing Trent to Miranda, Greg, and Adam on my left, making his way down to me. Trent seemed determined to stay focused on them, but I caught a glance or two whenever I did the same, his expression unreadable.

“And this is Charlie Reynolds, our newest addition to the company.”

“Great to meet you, Mr. Davis,” I said, offering my hand. “A real pleasure.”

Trent took my hand, and I could have grabbed that pink tie and pulled him to me in a millisecond. He smelled wonderful. Just as I remembered. And it brought me right back to that night.

He gazed at me for a second, his eyes soft, something sad in them. Then he nearly crushed my hand in his grip. “Likewise, Charlie. I’ve heard so much about you.”

I tried not to wince at the pain. “I’m flattered.”

“Don’t be,” he replied, causing Naomi to throw him a look. But he’d already moved on.

“This is Stephanie Vincent.” Naomi continued.

Steph took his hand. “Lovely to meet you, sir.”

“Please call me Trent.” He gave her a warm smile, and I crumbled, holding onto the chair behind me.

What cosmic mishap led him straight to my meeting? Karma?

The other VPs and Trent sat down on the opposite side of the table. Trent took a seat just beside the one directly across from me.

Forget him. Just concentrate on the project. On everything you practiced.

Suddenly, Steph’s hand covered my pen. I looked up at her and she gestured to it with her eyes. I must have been furiously tapping it. Fuck these nerves.

Trent wouldn’t make a scene. Right? Do your job, Charlie.

“Morgan had a sudden emergency to tend to this morning, so I decided to step in for the meeting. I’ve only glanced at the team notes,” Trent said.

Morgan had the right idea. Lucky bastard.

Trent looked straight at me. “Charlie, why don’t you give me a summary of the project?”

Parker spoke up on my left. “I can gladly do that, sir.”

“I know you can, but I’d like to hear it from Charlie, being our newest analyst here at NetSmash.”

The group turned to me and I blinked. So this was how he planned to play it.

Fine. Let’s do this, Mr. Davis.

“Of course.” I launched into the description of our project, defining CyGen’s problem, then providing examples of data we used and found in our research, and ending with our unique marketing solution. I was brief but thorough.

When I finished, everyone seemed relieved. Smiles broke out. I’m no slouch. I knew I’d nailed it.

Trent squirmed. “Good” was all he had to say.

Parker took over, beginning our presentation.

By the end, I felt as if I was back in the interrogation room. Not singled out, of course. That would be too obvious. Trent had his way with the entire team, asking probing questions, playing devil’s advocate. The works.

In my opinion, we passed with flying colors. He tried to throw us off our game and make us choke, but we were ready for it at every turn.

“Great job, everyone,” Trent finally said, though again, he didn’t seem happy about it. “I want this proposed to CyGen as soon as you can get them in here.” He got up and grabbed his portfolio. He looked at Naomi. “I’ve got an off-site lunch meeting. I’ll see you later this afternoon.”

Naomi nodded, and Trent took off.

I couldn’t let him leave without talking to him. I jumped up. “I’m going to thank him for his time.”

Naomi started to protest. “But Charlie, he’s—”

That’s the last I heard before the conference door closed. I jogged after him until I caught up. “Mr. Davis!”

He kept walking as I fell into stride next to him.

“Don’t, Charlie. Or whatever you’re calling yourself these days.”

“Mr. Davis, please. I didn’t want to lie to you.”

  “But you did.”

“I know, and I’m kicking myself about it.”

  “Kick harder.” His back straightened.

“Can we go somewhere and talk?”

  “I don’t have time.”

“Then when do you have time?”

He stopped and turned to me, his eyes large and dark. “I don’t ever have time for people like you.”

I felt as if I’d been punched in the face, but I wouldn’t back down. “At least let me explain.”

  “What good would that do?”

I shoved my hands in my pockets. “Honestly, I don’t know if it would do any good. But I’m sorry, and I’d like the chance to explain myself without an audience.”

Trent licked his lips and I couldn’t help but be drawn to them. He looked around and grabbed my wrist. Suddenly he was leading me down the corridor until we reached a nondescript door. He opened it and pushed me inside.

I glanced at the room around us and almost laughed. A janitor’s closet.

He shut the door, then leaned against some shelving with his arms crossed. “How much do you want?”

I blinked. “What are you talking about?”

“Blackmail. Or is it not money but something else you want from me?”

“I’m not going to blackmail you, Mr. Davis.” Did he really think that I’d do that?

“Why?” he asked, studying me as if uncertain about anything I had to say.

  “That’s not what I’m about.”

“Then what are you about?” His eyes drilled into me.

“I want to get this out so you know where I’m coming from, since I’m sure HR doesn’t brief you, unless necessary.” I took a deep breath. “Before I interned at SixSense, and then got this job, I served five years in the state penitentiary on a variety of charges from possession to burglary.”

  Trent looked genuinely shocked.

“I did my time. I’ve worked hard to forget that part of my past.”

“Then why bring it up?” he asked, the frustration in his voice mounting.

“To help you understand the situation better.”

“Start talking,” Trent demanded, echoing my own words from that night.

“On Halloween I was up on the penthouse floor. I just wanted to look around, see where I could eventually be in my career.” I paused. “I panicked when you saw me in the bathroom. I figured you’d fire me if you found out I was up there for no good reason, or worse, think I was trying to stake out the place or catch you off-guard. Which would have been the furthest thing from the truth. But for a guy with my history, it tends to cloud people’s judgment. You’re my idol, Mr. Davis. I look up to you and everything you’ve done. And then, fuck . . . You were even hotter in person than in your photos in Forbes. I lost it.”

Trent bit his lip, and it looked like it hurt.

“I wanted to tell you, but the longer we were together, the more afraid I got. This is my chance to start over and make something of myself after years of bad decisions. I didn’t want to lose everything I’d worked so hard for in one night.” I ran a hand through my hair. “I hated not calling you, but I feared you’d not only want nothing to do with me, but that you’d fire me to protect yourself.”

Trent closed his eyes and pulled at his tie, the stress apparent in his jilted movements. “You were afraid . . . ,” he breathed, opening his eyes and letting his arms fall to his sides.

  Chapter Twelve

  Trent

Imagine that. Krissy was right.

“I never thought the man I met that night would be afraid of anything. Especially me,” I said.

Charlie had made me feel like a fool. I gave myself to him in ways I’d never done before, and he promised things he wouldn’t deliver. Seeing his face in my conference room, owning that project with confidence, only made me want him more. And that irked me to no end. He never faltered under my scrutiny. Pride, admiration, lust, and heartache had coursed through me as he sat there at that table, looking as if he felt at ease after he’d shattered me and made me work so hard to keep it together.

“I kept telling myself I was scared you’d fire me, but I was more afraid of how you made me feel. I didn’t know what to do with myself, Mr. Davis. You broke me open and made yourself at home without even trying. I had to delete your number from my phone to stop myself from calling,” Charlie finished, and I couldn’t help but smile.

“When I saw you, I was disappointed, but firing you never crossed my mind,” I said. “I was angry that you’d used me and at how easily I fell for it. I figured you’d want something from me to keep quiet.”

Charlie moved toward me, his ash gray suit and deep blue tie setting off those eyes. So blue. So clear. “I do want something from you.”

I searched his eyes until he got down on his knees in front of me. He placed his hands on my hips to steady himself.

“Your forgiveness.” He kept his gaze locked on mine. “It may have looked like I’d been able to forget you, but I faked it. That project had to save my career. I never thought you’d show up to one of our meetings. For god’s sake, I’ve thought about you from the moment I left your office that morning.”

My heart slammed against my chest. “What did you think about?” I asked. I couldn’t resist, mainly I grew hard with his face so close to my groin and his firm hands gripping my hips.

He smirked. “I thought about bending you over any desk I could find and spanking that tight ass until you came.”

My breath caught, and I knew my dick swelled even more.

“I imagined licking your tender hole as you squirmed and whimpered, then taking you slow and deep.”

His voice made my entire body shiver. I’d fantasized about these same things over and over since that day.

“We don’t have the space or the privacy for me to punish you how I’d like, but I might be able to relieve this throbbing rod in your slacks.” He nuzzled my crotch and made me moan.

  I nodded emphatically.

“You know the rules, Mr. Davis. Tell me what you want.”

I gripped the shelving behind me. “Suck me,” I breathed. “Please.”

Charlie grinned up at me and started to undo my belt. “I can’t let you walk around the office with this. You’ll scare the interns.” He laughed. “Or turn them on like crazy.”

I chuckled as he unbuttoned my slacks and pulled the zipper down.

His hands connected with my dick through the opening in my boxers.

I gasped. “Your mouth isn’t even on me yet and I’m riding the edge.”

Charlie looked up at me, his expression daring me to watch him as he slid his tongue over my tip.

I huffed, trying to keep quiet. I realized how much I missed this, missed him, and the way he could penetrate my defenses so quickly.

He sucked me down in one motion, and I slid my hands into his hair and pulled. I felt him shudder around my length, and knowing that he was just as excited as me, made me want to come right then and there.

Feeling his hot tongue and mouth surround me and stroke my dick from root to tip had my pelvis undulating. I knew I couldn’t moan or yell loudly in here, so I let my heavy breaths do it for me.

He held onto my hips with his strong hands, and I knew in moments I’d blow. How was he so good at everything he did? “That’s incredible, Chaz,” I said, then corrected myself. “Charlie.”

He drew off quickly. “You’ve earned the right to call me whatever you want. But I prefer Charlie.”

“Charlie . . . ,” I said as he went back to sucking me. “Please call me Trent. And, god help me, don’t stop. I’m going to come.”

He hummed, the vibration sending me over the edge. My orgasm blasted through me, bringing me to my toes, forcing me to grip his hair tighter. It only seemed to spur him on.

I jerked, stifling my noises, as my head flew back and rattled the shelving.

Charlie kept sucking, milking me dry with his talented mouth, taking my come down his throat.

I finally let go of his head, hoping I wasn’t hurting him, and gripped the shelves. My body slowed its motions, and his mouth slowed as well.

“Goddamn,” I whispered as he pulled back, softly licking at me. He cleaned the sensitive head, making me gasp and chuckle at his sweet teasing.

He slid my cock back into my boxers and zipped me up, then buckled my belt.

“I need to kiss you,” I said as I watched him put me back together.

Without a word, he stood and pressed himself against me, taking my mouth as easily as he had my dick, his tongue finding mine and tangling with it. He tasted like my come and spearmint. I sighed into him, my arms wrapping around his body. It felt so right to hold him. I wished we didn’t have these suits on. I needed the feel of his bare skin and the hard length against my hip.

As we kissed, I moved my hands down to his belt and started to undo it.

“What are you doing?” Charlie asked into my mouth.

I opened his slacks and slid my hand into his boxer briefs to pull out his dick. It felt like heaven in my hand. “You’d scare my staff as well with this monster.”

Charlie smiled and pecked at my lips. “You plan to tame it?”

I brought my hand up to my mouth and licked my fingers, then curled them around Charlie’s length. “You bet I do.”

He groaned as I stroked slowly. “Trent,” he whispered, then kissed me deeply, pinning me to the shelving. I loved hearing my name from his lips.

We continued to kiss as he thrust into my hand, now lubed with his precome. His breath got more ragged as I caressed his tip, tracing the silky seam downward before closing my fist.

“You’re too good at that,” he whispered, his body quivering. “Please, don’t ever stop.”

I smiled against his mouth. “I like to hear you beg too.”

He nipped my lower lip. “For you, anytime.”

I let my hand do the talking, twisting my fist and brushing my thumb across his frenulum. “Come for me.”

His breathing quickly spiraled out of control. He grunted as his body shuddered. Come filled my hand, and I cupped it, preventing him from soiling his clothes.

When our breathing calmed and our kissing became languid and soft, I spoke. “You think there’s a towel or something in this closet?”

He laughed. “You asking me because I used to be a janitor?”

  I chuckled. “Maybe.”

“I’ll remember that,” he said pointedly, making my stomach flutter.

He turned to find a package of paper towels on the opposite shelf and pulled a roll out. “This will have to do.”

We cleaned ourselves, and Charlie zipped up.

“You’re really late for that meeting,” Charlie said, pressing me back against the shelves.

“I lied about the meeting. I had Alejandro go in my stead.” I smiled at him. “What good is being the CEO if you can’t delegate responsibility to your team every once in a while, right?”

He smiled and kissed me, searching my eyes. “I never meant to hurt you, Trent. I’m truly sorry.”

His eyes were bright and filled with remorse. “I know. And you were forgiven the moment you said that I was hotter than my photo spread in Forbes.”

Charlie laughed. “Ah, so you do have an ego hiding under that starched exterior.”

“I’ve got a reputation to uphold. It’s tough staying on top when you’re young and a target.”

“I saw that in prison a lot,” he s
aid and then seemed self-conscious for revealing it, avoiding my gaze.

“I want something else from you.” I touched his face and directed it back to me.

“You want to spank me?” he asked, and I wondered if he was trying to change the subject.

“No, but it has definite potential,” I said, now trying to get the thought of Charlie bent over my desk out of my head. “Seriously, I’m telling you what I want. As Trent the man, not Trent the CEO.”

  He waited.

“I want to get to know you, outside of work.”

  “Like dating?”

“Only if you want the same. If you have no interest in me, let me know now.”

“Trent, I wanted more than sex from you the moment I saw you burst into that bathroom. I just didn’t know it until I fell asleep on your sofa.”

I thumbed over his lower lip, my heart cheering.

Charlie wrapped his arms around me.

“I don’t know how we’ll do this, but we’ll figure out a way, right?” I asked.

“We’ll make it work.” He smiled, his crystal blue eyes sparkling. “I promise you.”
