Once Julian and Jim were gone, Austin moved into the empty recording room. Jeff was setting up an electronic keyboard the studio had on hand. Jason was in the booth talking to him over the speaker. Austin sat in the only chair available and waited.

Brandon sat next to Scott and patted his knee. “How you doin’?”

“Good as can be expected.” Scott put his feet up on the coffee table. “Glad Ashley is cool with us. She said to be ourselves. Bet Chico’d have something to say about that.” He smiled, which had been rare since their lives were splattered all over the world.

Ashley sat next to them. “Where’s Mackenzie?”

“Working next door,” Brandon replied. “I knew he’d be happy you came.”

She nodded, then looked around. “But what about Cassie or Candy…”

“Cassandra?” Brandon groaned. “Guess there was no reason for him to tell you. She’s history. Nothing to worry about.”

She sighed and visibly relaxed. “I guess that’s good.” She turned to Brandon. “I had a feeling something was wrong when he called the other day. He sounded kinda sad.”

“Glad he has you.” Scott leaned over Brandon and met her eyes. “You mean a lot to him.”

Chico was at the drum set, hearing the beat of “Torment Within” in his head. Austin had given him a recording of him playing guitar and singing. He wished he had heard the bass also. They would get all the pieces demoed soon, and, then they could lay the real tracks down the next day.

Jake stretched out on a recliner. “When we getting started?” He was bored already. “I got no chicks to entertain me.”

“Once Austin finishes the keyboards, we’ll move on,” Brandon explained. “I haven’t heard ‘Dancing With Evil’ yet. I have no idea what will sound good with it.”

They sat there discussing the song. Then Jake sang it for them. He wrote it on the tour, like most of the album. When Austin strolled into the room, Brandon stepped into his booth.

After Brandon had recorded a demo of his part, he walked past the rest of the group. Once he was in the hallway, his heart started pounding. His plan was risky, since the door had no lock. As quiet as possible, he opened the door.

Mackenzie had her back to him. She sat at a desk, talking on the speakerphone and typing on her laptop. He grinned as he watched her. She wore the tight black jeans they picked up the day before. He was bored, and they both bought new clothes. When she stood and bent over the desk, he groaned quietly. Tattoos peeked out from the black blouse she wore. That didn’t help his hard-on.

“OK. I’ll make sure to research that company for you.” Mackenzie started towards the couch. She was tired of talking. “Anything else?”

The client answered, “No. That’s all.”

“Great. Then I’ll get right on it.” She hit “end” and laid the phone on a nearby table.

Brandon acted fast. He grabbed her from behind, then quickly tugged her jeans open and down. His were already open, erection out. Just as he bent her over the couch, he plunged into her pussy.

“Goddammit, I needed that!” Mackenzie had been frightened until she smelled Brandon’s cologne mixed with the sweet scent of him hard at work. “Uh, baby.”

He thrust in as much as possible, grinding into her. Balls deep was impossible. “Couldn’t resist.” Moving his hands to her hips, he looked down. He was leaning on her jeans. “Uh, maybe we should get your pants off. This is kinda complicated. And you don’t have a change of clothes.”

She shimmied them down to her ankles, then tried to kick off her shoes. One came off. The other was stuck. “Good enough.” She shook one foot to let her jeans pool around her trapped foot. “Please continue.”

Brandon chuckled. “Only you.” He was glad she was so laid back. “Hold on tight. I don’t know how long we have.” He withdrew and thrust back into her hard. “Ah, yeah.”

His fingers digging into her flesh, he pumped his hips hard and fast. Her moans had him at the edge already. Imagining Carl walking in on them eased his urge. When he opened his eyes and glanced down at their joining, he sighed. He watched his cock move in and out of her. Then he spread her ass cheeks and moaned as he penetrated deeper.

Gasping, Mackenzie’s head went back. It was a much better break than what she had planned. After only a few more strokes, she cried out, loudly. Her body trembled as she clutched the cushion in front of her. He didn’t let up, though. She hung on as he thrust so hard, the couch moved.

Feeling his desperation, she called to him, “I’m good… Cum.”

  “Tink…”

He shut his eyes as she tensed rhythmically within. Needing her to be completely satisfied, he slid a hand over her hip until a finger grazed her clit. Then he started rubbing. She had to orgasm with him or he’d feel inadequate. Just because he had wanted her all day didn’t mean he should be a minute man.

“Brandon!” she shouted as ecstasy took over once again. His grunt made her eyes open. Then she felt the throbbing inside her. It triggered more spasms. After crying out to him several more times, her body went limp. “Baby, how am I gonna work like this?”

Letting out a laugh, he replied, “Stay right there. I’ll bring your phone and computer to you.” He pulled out with a groan. “Damn. Now back to reality.”

“Seriously.” She couldn’t move. “My legs are like rubber.”

He ran his hands up her top and caressed her back. “I’m sorry. My dick made me do it.” The line Jake had spouted more than once was fitting. “Let me go get a towel or something.” He searched the room. Then he remembered the attached bathroom. He cleaned her up with several paper towels. “Hang on. I’ll help you with your clothes.”

Soon, Mackenzie was sitting on the sofa, legs in Brandon’s lap. “Have you gotten much work done?”

“Yeah. The video crew should be here soon. They’re gonna shoot a bit and take pictures. We might put out a DVD about this album. They already filmed us at a few shows.”

She sighed, happy and sated. “That would be cool.”

He patted her legs. “Food should be here by now. Think you can walk?” He winked.

“Maybe.” She slid her legs off his lap and onto the floor. Using the couch and table, she got to her feet. Knees wobbly, she was afraid to let go. “Well, maybe not.”

Laughing, he stood as well and scooped her up. “Seems you got swept off your feet and fucked. Maybe I did it backwards, though.”

“Yeah.” She giggled as he walked to the door, spinning once. “We tend to do things our way.”

He stopped and nuzzled her neck. “True, but I like our way.” His eyes closed. “At least it ends in you being mine.”

  “That I am.”

When they entered the lounge of the recording suite, Chico grinned at them. “I see you got those just-fucked smiles on your faces.”

Ashley slapped his arm. “Leave them alone.” When Brandon set Mackenzie down on the couch, Ashley looked at Mackenzie, and her eyes opened wide. “When did this happen?” She rushed over to Mackenzie and lifted her left hand. “You popped the question?” She grinned at Brandon. “This is so exciting. When?”

“Um, we’re not sure yet.” Brandon wished it was soon, but he knew she needed more time. “Maybe we’ll start planning after the next tour.” He faked a smile, but inside he tried to will her to be ready.

“Buffet is set up,” Carl announced as he walked into the room.

Scott had just walked out of the booth. “Thanks. Food sounds good.”

“Hey.” Austin stood from the piano where he had been playing softly. “I wanna go out tonight. We should all go.”

Scott came up to him. “You sure that’s a good idea? What if someone sees us?” He watched Austin’s eyes light up. “Oh no. What’re you thinking?”

Austin glanced around the room. “Would you guys balk at going to Raven’s?”

Jake sighed. “I’m good with it. Just don’t expect me to take a guy home.” He laughed and slapped Chico on the back. “Br
idgette should be here by then.” His expression changed. “Shit. I have to ask her.” He pulled his phone out and walked a few feet away.

Groaning, Chico said, “I can’t. I’m sorry, but you know how I get with just you two.”

Ashley put her arms around him. “I’ll be all over you so no one approaches. OK?”

“Huh?” Chico stared at her. She hated public displays of affection. “But—”

“For you,” she kissed his lips. “I can do anything.” The love in her eyes was apparent to everyone in the room. “It’s not like I’ll know anyone but you guys.”

He sighed, knowing she made it impossible to refuse. “Fine. But you can’t leave my side.”

“It’s not just a gay club,” Austin explained. “It’s advertised that way, but it’s mostly open people. You guys won’t be the only heterosexual couples.” He had been there a few times after he met Scott and discovered he was bisexual. It was in an out-of-the-way part of LA. “Some couples are just looking for a third.”

Jake grinned. “Sounds like a swinger’s club.” He grinned. “By the way, Bridgette is cool with a gay club or whatever. She said she likes to people-watch.” He paused, then turned to Austin. “You sure it’s open on a Tuesday night?”

“Yeah.” Austin had looked the place up a few times in the last month. “So Raven’s tonight, then.”

Carl suddenly shouted, “What? That’s a PR nightmare!”

“Fuck off, Carl,” Jake countered. “Why do ya gotta be so closed-minded? This is why we hid it from you. Who the fuck cares if they’re bi? I sure as hell don’t.”

A man in a suit walked in. He frowned. “Do we have another problem?”

“Oh shit,” Carl mumbled to himself. “Mr. Kingsley, what a surprise.”

Brandon groaned. Reggie Kingsley was a record company executive. He was the one who bitched every time one of them got into trouble with the law. The last time Brandon was bailed out, he threatened to burn their contract if anything else gave them bad press.

“No. No.” Carl sounded like he was groveling. “The boys were just talking about… uh, some rude posts they found on the internet.”

Reggie glared at Carl. “Remember what I said.” Then he stormed out.

After several moments of silence, Carl scowled. “I was told one more careless stunt—”

“Stunt?” Austin was livid. “Stunt? Did you just calling kissing my boyfriend a stunt? What the fuck is wrong with you? You ignorant son of a bitch! If you’re not comfortable with me and Scott fucking—”

Jake slapped a hand over his mouth. “Stop it. You’re making it worse.” He held Austin back as he struggled. “Look, Carl. All you motherfuckers better get used to it. None of us have a problem with them. If you do, you can find employment elsewhere.”

“If you’re not careful, they’ll drop you guys.” Carl glared at Jake. “One more straw, got it?” He gave them all a look, then walked out.

“Asshole,” Chico muttered. “Why the hell do we have him again?”

Jake let Austin go. “Used to be so we didn’t have to deal with bullshit.”

“Yeah, but I’m dealing with a shitstorm.” Austin glanced at Scott. “We are. He’s no fucking help. I say we fire him. Who’s with me?” The entire band raised a hand. “Maybe Jon can recommend someone.”

Brandon sat next to Mackenzie. “Too bad we can’t break our contract without fallout.”

The door to the hallway opened again. “Um, should I take him somewhere else?” Jim asked as he noticed the angry faces.

Chico shook his head and moved towards Julian, who was carrying two plastic bags. “We’re just talking. What games did you get, buddy?”

“Need for Speed Most Wanted and Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth.” Julian smiled from ear to ear. “You don’t have those, right? I thought we could play together.”

Tousling his hair, Chico grinned back. “I don’t. That would be real cool. Did you buy any other cool stuff?”

“Yeah.” Julian opened the bag and they started sorting through it.

Austin tugged Scott to his side. “Let’s go eat and forget all this shit.”

“Good idea.” Scott hoped things went back to normal soon.

  Chapter 43

“Car’s here,” Austin shouted as he looked out the window next to the front door. “You guys ready yet?”

Brandon came strolling down the hallway dressed all in black: button-down shirt, neat jeans, fedora and boots. His hair was tied back at the back of his neck, and his face was freshly shaven. He was as close to dressed-up as he was going to get until his wedding day.

“Kenzie’s almost done.” Brandon glanced around. “Should I put sunglasses on?”

Austin shook his head. “No one ever bothered me there before.”

“When was the last time you were there?” Brandon could see by Austin’s reaction that it had been a while. “The truth.”

Shrugging, Austin replied, “A few years.” He thought about it. “OK, a lotta years.”

“Glasses it is.” Brandon went back to the bedroom to get a lightly tinted pair. “Need help?” He spied Mackenzie struggling.

She turned to him. “Yeah, I can’t get the zipper back up. My tits looked uneven.”

He smirked as he closed the zipper on the corset-like top. “You look hot, Tink.”

His eyes raked over her outfit. She was also all in black, with five-inch heels, short skirt and thigh-high stockings. He could tell she wore no bra or panties. Just thinking that started movement in his pants.

“This is gonna be a long night,” he muttered.

She let out a giggle. “I offered you a blowjob in the shower.”

He exhaled loudly. “True. I just didn’t want Scott to bitch.” He rolled his eyes. “Guy’s not even ready yet.”

“Come on, you two,” Austin called out.

Brandon slapped Mackenzie’s ass. “Be right there.” Then he leaned down and bit her neck, hard. “Mine.” He bit her again.

“Ow. Brandon, stop.” She pulled away from him, rubbing her neck. “What was that for?”

He smiled at the red mark he had made. “To tell all the chicks you’re mine.”

Scott stuck his head in the room. “What’s the hold-up?” He was glad Austin thought of a place they could be themselves. “Fool around later. Everybody’s waiting.”

“Fine.” Brandon laughed and grabbed Mackenzie’s hand. “I’m giving you a matching one in the limo.” He swatted her ass one more time. Then he donned the sunglasses on the dresser. “Let’s go.”

After stopping at Jake’s condo, then Chico’s house, they were on their way. The four couples walked into the club hand in hand. Austin paid the cover charge for everyone since it was his idea. So far, no one had given them a second look.

“Who’s watching Julian?” Mackenzie asked just before they left the foyer.

Ashley looked back. “Jim offered. Julian really likes him.”

“Great.” Mackenzie’s voice was drowned out by loud music when Austin opened the door to the main room.

They wove through the crowd to the rear where there were tables. There was a big group on the dance floor, grinding, swaying and such to the beat. A large corner table was available, so they commandeered it.

Jake looked around. There were all types of people around. “This is nice,” he shouted as he pulled Bridgette onto his lap. “Aren’t you glad you came?”

“Yeah.” She looked into his eyes before kissing his lips.

Mackenzie pushed her chair closer to Brandon’s. Then she leaned close to him. “They’re cute together.”

Unsure what to say, Brandon just nodded. He glanced around. Some of the men had their shirts off. There was open groping on and off the dance floor, by men and women. It was definitely a new experience for him. He wasn’t fond of seeing men kissing all around him, but he could handle it for one night.

“What can I get you—” Raul, the waiter, stopped and stared at the group for a few moments
. He recognized Scott right away. Then he realized the whole band was with him. “Uh, sorry. What do you want to drink?”

Austin looked up. “Oh, hey. Round of tequila shots. We’re celebrating.”

“Sure thing.” Raul smiled. “Be back soon.”

Scott had been watching the dance floor. No one was uptight about touching in public. He hoped he could relax and go with the flow. Holding hands was one thing. Grinding on each other in front of an audience? Completely different.

The shots came minutes later. Austin raised his glass. “Fuck all the haters.” Everyone laughed and finished their shot. “Hey, uh—” Austin read his nametag. “Raul. Can you get us another round?”

Brandon wasn’t sure lots of drinking was a great idea, but it definitely would help him forget where he was. Although, the place was much more sedate than he expected. He put an arm over Mackenzie’s shoulders and tried to relax.

When another set of shots was finished and a third arrived, Scott was beginning to like the place. No one bothered them. He could hold Austin’s hand and not worry about comments. The table next to them was all-male couples. It made him feel like things would be fine. The world did accept some as gay. They would just have to learn that bisexual was just another thing people were. He finally had some hope.

Jake and Bridgette were making out, oblivious to the shocked eyes of his bandmates. It was still hard for them to believe that Jake brought a girl anywhere. It was also unbelievable that she was staying at his place. Almost no women had seen it. Jake didn’t want them to try and visit again.

Next to them, Chico and Ashley whispered to each other about plans for the next few days. He was thinking of breaking off with the other two women in his life. The idea scared him a bit though. She may expect monogamy. Months on the road without a woman? He wasn’t sure he could do it.

After a fourth drink, Austin had a nice buzz going on. “Let’s go dance. Well, sorta dance. I’m not too graceful.” He stood up and grabbed Scott by the hand. “Come on.”

Hoping someone would stop Austin, Scott pleaded with his eyes. He wasn’t ready. The grin on Austin’s face made him change his mind. Rarely was he that happy.
