  About the Author

  Tom Fletcher was born in Kent, and studied at Harvey Grammar School and Oxford University, graduating with a First in Modern History. He is a Visiting Professor at New York University, an honorary fellow at Oxford University, and a campaigner on global education and the UK’s creative industries. He was Britain’s Ambassador to Lebanon from 2011 to 2015, and was awarded the Companion of St Michael and St George (CMG) in 2011 for services to the prime minister. He is married to Dr Louise Fletcher and they have two sons, Charlie and Theo.
