The Mephisto Kiss (The Redemption Of Kyros)

He looked into this Anabo’s eyes and whispered, “Here’s to eternity, Viorica.”
With her arms still around his neck, she shifted closer. “I love you, Kyros.” She kissed him, and in the middle of it, he heard loud voices that became louder, until they were at the door. Just as Jordan lifted her head and turned to look, it flew open. There were the Mephisto, the Purgatories, and the Lumina, crowding into the room, surrounding the bed, spilling into the hall.
Key looked up at Jordan. “Honey, the neighbors are here. Better hide the good cookies.”
They were bounced off of the bed in the midst of laughter, and lots of tears, and many embraces.
Jax said over his shoulder while he hugged him so hard he nearly broke his back, “We wouldn’t have known you were here, except Sasha wouldn’t let go of her search. She started shouting, and everyone came running.” He eased up and stepped back, but his hands continued to grip Key’s shoulders. “God, I’m glad.”
“Kinda freaked about leading, bro?”
Jax laughed and ducked his head before he nodded. “Yeah, okay, that, too.”
Watching Jordan and Mariah hug each other, he sobered and met Jax’s eyes. “Did Zee take care of her doppelganger?”
Jax shot a glance at Jordan before he nodded. “It was pretty rough, Key. Zee said her dad’s in bad shape. I really don’t think she should be on the takedown at her memorial.”
“It’ll be hard for her, Jax, but she’ll do it anyway. It’s who she is.”
He caught her smiling at him from across the room and knew exactly what she was thinking. Forever, until the end of time, they’d exchange looks across rooms and tables and takedowns and would always know, because the message would always be the same: I love you.
