Lindsay knew she should say it was too soon, that he couldn’t possibly know what he felt for her was love.

Because Mikhail had just described exactly the way she felt about him. She loved him. All of him.

She straightened. “I love you, too, Mischa, and yes, I’ll marry you and stand proudly at your side always, anywhere and everywhere.” She smiled up at him with that same love shining in her eyes. “I’ll also ensure you never find the cure!”
Mikhail gave a shout of triumphant laughter as he swept her up in his arms and kissed her with a thoroughness that left them both in no doubts their love was real and would last forever.
