Always Rock Hard

“I know. I don’t expect us to. I promise if you ever wanted to give us a second chance, it wouldn’t be anything like where we left off. I would treat you the way you deserved. I wouldn’t ever take you for granted again. I would truly see you.”
“It’s so soon. I don’t even know you anymore.”
“I know. I’m not asking you to just up and leave and move in with me. If you’re open to maybe trying again or even seeing me again, I could stick around here. Rent a place when I’m off. I could do my writing here. I will have to go back and forth to LA a couple times but it’s not such a crazy lifestyle as you might think. The tours are busy and yes, you might be lonely, especially if you were in LA but I hope we could build a good life and a support system together so you wouldn’t have to miss me.”
“I would always miss you.”
Sarah smiled then and the look on her face, the love shining from her eyes, told him that everything was going to work out. He wasn’t sure how but she was going to give him a second chance.
“I love you,” Sarah said shyly. “I never really stopped. I wanted to forget you. I wanted to move on but I never really could. I made a life for myself and I am happy but there was always something missing. You were always missing. If we could just start out slowly, get to know each other again, maybe it would work out. Maybe one day I could see myself in LA.”
“We can do whatever you want. If you’re willing to work with me, knowing that it will be far from perfect, knowing that I will be far from perfect, I will move heaven and earth to treat you like a queen.”
Sarah laughed. “I’m no queen.”
Sean smiled so broadly it actually hurt his face. “I beg to differ,” he protested. “You’re my queen.”
He tilted his face and claimed her mouth so passionately that it left little room for doubt. When he pulled away they were both breathing raggedly.
“Say it,” Sean whispered. “Say you’re my queen.”
“I’m your queen,” Sarah said after a moment’s hesitation. She didn’t sound convinced.
“After tonight, you’re going to believe it,” Sean vowed. “I’m going to make you believe it.”
Sarah squealed as he took her into his arms and rolled her over playfully. Her laughter, which quickly turned into gasps of desire, echoed through the room.
“I’m looking forward to it,” she said playfully before her words were silenced by another passionate, consuming kiss.
