“Come on. Come for a walk with me,” I pleaded.
She sighed and shook her head. “Fine, but only to shut you up.” She stood up and marched off to her room. I got up and walked to my room to change into my running gear.
When I got back to the living room, she was standing there waiting, her arms crossed over her chest.
“Ready?” I asked brightly.
“Does it matter if I’m not?” she muttered, tying her hair back in a ponytail.
“You know,” I began as we walked to the elevator, “exercise can be fun. It makes you feel good. Releases endorphins.”
“I can get endorphins by eating a bar of chocolate,” she said dryly.
“Yeah, and five pounds,” I retorted.
She spun around, her mouth dropping open. “Liam Cooper, are you calling me fat?” she said accusingly.
I went red. Why in hell had I thought talking about weight to a woman was a smart move?
“No, I just meant…I didn’t mean…” My voice trailed off as she burst into laughter.
“Relax. I’m messing with you,” she said, hitting me on my side.
“Bitch,” I chuckled. We walked across the road and down Sixth, Mia doing more window-shopping than walking. “It works better if you don’t stop every two seconds,” I teased.
“There was a nice pair of shoes back there! So I’m easily distracted, sue me,” she shot back.
I shook my head and laughed. For the next ten minutes, she made a point of not looking anywhere but straight ahead. God, she was stubborn sometimes.
We went around the block, and by the time we reached the apartment, Mia was almost ready to pass out.
She looked at me accusingly. “You haven’t even broken a sweat!” she protested, reaching up to touch my face.
I laughed. “That’s only because I’m used to running. Trust me, after a decent jog, I sweat buckets.”
We made our way slowly up to the apartment, with Mia groaning about her aching muscles. As soon as we went inside, she went to take a shower. While she was gone I made us each a hot cocoa. I set down the steaming cups on the coffee table, and turned on some music.
“What’s this?” Mia asked, raising her eyebrows as she walked over to join me on the sofa.
My heart jumped as I looked up at her. She wore a baby pink silk robe, and not much underneath. Her damp, tousled hair hung around her shoulders, somehow making her eyes seem bigger.
“I thought you could use this,” I said, pointing to her cup.
“Mmm, you know me well, Coop.” She sat down next to me, the split in her robe riding up to expose almost all of her thigh.
I coughed, my throat feeling like it was closing over. “Feel better after your shower?” I asked.
“Yes. Much better.” She picked up her drink and took a sip. “It’s good.” She grinned.
“And that just about stretches my kitchen skills to the limit,” I joked.
She laughed. “Well you don’t need to be good at everything. Do one thing well and you’re set for life.” She giggled, tilting her head so she was staring at my face. She smiled again, as she finished her drink.
“That was quick,” I murmured.
“I’ve heard that before,” she quipped, and then blushed. “God, I don’t even know what that meant.” She covered her face with her hands. Smiling, I gently lowered her hand and curved my hand around the side of her face, bringing it toward mine.
I moved in, my lips locking against hers, taking in her softness and beauty. She lifted herself onto her knees and placed her leg over mine so she was straddling me. I put my hands on her hips, her silk robe the only thing separating my hands from her naked body.
She leaned in and kissed me, her arms draping around my neck. Each kiss was more furious and desperate than the last. Her lips moved down, her tongue moving slowly along my neck. I looped my fingers around her waist tie and unfastened it. She sat up, the robe falling open.
I was so hard. Throbbing. Aching. As though all the blood inside me was pooling in my cock. I took in what was before me: Mia, her legs parted, her robe hanging open showing me her beautiful body. I ran my fingers down her neck and over her breasts. She gasped, her body tensing at my touch. Slowly, my fingers trailed down to her pussy. Her hands now resting on my shoulders, I stared deep into her eyes as I slipped a finger inside. God, she was so wet, so tight. Her pussy gripped my finger as I worked it back and forth.
“You feel amazing. You’re so wet for me, Mia,” I whispered.
She sighed, her eyes closed as she rocked her hips back and forth, grinding herself against me, milking my finger. She moaned softly as I slid a second finger inside her. Fuck, she felt so good. I could only imagine how tight she would be with my cock sliding inside of her.
“Come for me. Come on my fingers,” I whispered, sliding them back and forth inside of her.
She moaned loudly, throwing her head back as her body began to rock more forcefully to the motion of my fingers.
“You’re so wet. I can’t wait to taste you. You smell so good.”
“Oh yes,” she groaned as my fingers worked faster. That was it, she was almost there. She rocked herself against me, her nails digging into my shoulder as her body began to convulse. With one last burst, she cried out, collapsing into my arms. “Oh god, that was….” She trailed off, too exhausted to finish.
Laughing, I kissed her forehead.“Go to bed, Mia. You look wrecked,” I chuckled, kissing her forehead again.
She climbed off me and wrapped the robe abound her waist, blushing. “I don’t know what came over me,” she mumbled. “I didn’t—I mean, we shouldn’t…”
“Go to bed and sleep. We can talk tomorrow,” I promised, knowing exactly what she was trying to tell me.
Something I didn’t want to hear.
Chapter Fourteen
I may have purposely hidden in my room until after Mia had gone. As soon as I heard the front door close, I jumped up and ran for the bathroom. I’d been holding back the urge to piss for the last hour. Ah, relief.
I walked through to the laundry, and noticed Mia had hung all the clothes on the drying rack. Grabbing a pair of jeans and a shirt, I threw them in the dryer.
On the way back to my bedroom, I filled a mug with coffee from the fresh pot Mia had put on. Taking a sip, I sighed. Coffee. I’d need a lot of that today.
My phone vibrated. I grabbed it off my dresser in my room. It was a message from Beth.
Hypothetically speaking, would you be free today around one?
I ran over my day in my head. I’d wanted to visit Mom, and I had an appointment at six. If I got my ass into gear, I could do one. I texted back.
I can spare a few hours. Where?
She texted me the address of a theater downtown, in front of which I was to meet her. My brow furrowed in confusion. I didn’t know what she had planned, but I could deal with that later. Throwing on some clean boxers, I grabbed my phone and wallet, and went back to the living room. I had to wait for my clothes to dry, so I decided to cook myself breakfast.
Yeah, I know. I’m not a cook, but hell, I was feeling capable today.
From the fridge I took two eggs and the bread. I put a frying pan onto the flame and sliced two thick pieces of bread. I shoved them into the toaster. Once the pan was hot enough, I cracked the eggs. They sizzled as they touched the heat. The dryer had finished, so I went to check on my clothes. Opening the dryer door, I reached in and collected my clothes. They were toasty warm. I slipped on my jeans, and pulled the shirt over my head.
Beep! Beep!
What the fuck was that? Oh shit, the smoke alarm.
I bolted back into the kitchen and saw the fry pan was on fire. Smoke was billowing everywhere. I turned on the faucet and grabbed the handle using a dishtowel and carefully carrying it over, dumping it in the sink. Steam exploded as the fire extinguished, the remnants of my eggs floating toward the drain.
I sighed and checked the toaster. At least they were okay. Fifty percent was a pa
ss, right?
After my disastrous cooking attempt, I stopped for a breakfast burrito on the way to see Mom. Loaded up with her flowers and a box of chocolates, I entered the code and waited for the doors to open.
“Hey, Luce,” I said, approaching the desk to sign in. “How’s things?”
“Liam.” She smiled, her blue eyes lighting up. “Good. I’m good. How are you? I swear you look hotter every time I see you.” She shook her head.
I chuckled. “How’s Mom today?”
“She’s a little disorientated today. Maybe don’t stay too long?” she suggested gently.
I nodded, gripping the stems of the flowers as I tried to prepare myself mentally.
My heart raced as I walked toward her room. When Mom didn’t recognize me at all, it was hard, and not something I enjoyed. Even worse was when she mistook me for my father, which happened often.
I turned into her room. The door was open and she lay in bed, staring at the wall.
“Hey Mom,” I said softly, setting the lilies aside. I sat down on the chair beside her bed and kissed her hand.
She glanced at me, her eyes confused as she fought to remember who I was. My heart sank. Her memory seemed to be getting worse, which was making me begin to question the treatment. The last thing I wanted was her suffering.
“How have you been?” I asked softly. She stared through me as though I wasn’t even there. “Mom?” I said gently, touching her shoulder.
She turned to me, her eyes searching mine. “You shouldn’t be in here. If you get caught, they’ll lock you away,” she whispered, her voice worried.
I stood up and touched her hand. “Love you, Mom,” I said as I walked out. When she was that bad, it was best for her if I left her alone. It could have been more upsetting and confusing for her if I were to stay. That was the last thing I wanted. upsetting and confusing for her if I stay, and that was the last thing I wanted.
I left Childerdale and made my way over the other side of town to meet Beth. It was an overcast and stormy day, which kind of suited my current mood. I hoped some time with Beth would change that.
When I approached the theater, Beth was already standing out front, waiting for me.
“Hey, Coop.” She waved at me, her face beaming.
“What are we going here, Beth?” I asked suspiciously. The message to meet her at the theatre on Seventh had thrown me a little. Sure, my clients sometimes liked things other than sex, but not Beth, and generally not in public. Besides, if Beth just wanted to hang out she would’ve said so.
That, and one photo in a magazine and I’d have a lot of explaining to do.
“What? I just wanted to see a movie.” She shrugged innocently, and had it not been for that evil little sparkle in her eyes, I might have believed it. But then again, I knew her well enough to know that nothing was ever as it seemed.
“So I’m just supposed to believe you had the sudden urge to see a movie and you’re paying me to see it with you?” I chuckled.
She made a face at me, her eyes dancing. She knew as well as I did that if she wanted to see a movie with me, she didn’t have to pay me. But we had a deal: anything related to sex, and it was on the books.
Exactly how this related to sex, I was nervous to find out.
“There’s a few people here, huh?” she said devilishly, her grin widening.
I glanced around the semi-crowded theater and shrugged. We sat in the back row, alone. There were maybe thirty people there besides us.
“I guess.” I said slowly.
“Did you know I’m not wearing panties?” she whispered in my ear as she sucked on my earlobe.
So that’s what we were doing here.
I sighed with relief as the lights dimmed and the movie started. Hell, I didn’t even know what we were seeing. I was too focused on my rock-hard dick.
“Do you ever wear panties?” I shot back, chuckling.
I put my hand on her thigh, my fingers working their way under her loose, flowing, ice-blue dress. She breathed in as my fingers ran along the length of her bare pussy. She wore the black bob wig again today, though she had foregone the oversized sunglasses.
“I want my mouth on those wet lips, Beth, but you have to be quiet, okay? Can you handle that?” I asked, my finger entering her.
She tensed and nodded violently, incapable of stringing words together for a reply.
On my knees, I lifted her dress as she positioned her legs over the arms of her chair. She clapped her hand over her mouth to stifle a moan as I ran my tongue along the length of her wet pussy, well aware of the couple sitting directly in front of us in the next row.
Shh, I mouthed to her, and she nodded, her eyes wide.
Her knees locked against the sides of my head as I worked my tongue back inside her. Slipping my hand under her ass, I lifted her pussy higher to give me better access. I began to suck her clit, trying my best to do so quietly. Glancing up, I saw she was biting her arm. I chuckled. As hard as it was for me to do this quietly, it was ten times harder for her.
“Oh,” she gasped, her voice barely above a whisper, as my tongue moved in and out of her. Her hands ran furiously through my hair as she arched her back, pushing herself further onto my tongue. Her foot began to pound on my shoulder as I circled her clit, her taste and her smell engulfing me.
“Oh!” she cried, this time louder. She squeezed her eyes shut and bit down on her lip as she came, hard. I gently licked the length of her pussy over and over until she pushed me away, too sensitive to handle any more.
“Was that okay?” I whispered, getting back into my seat.
Her expression said it all.
Chuckling, I leaned over, my lips meeting hers. “Can you taste how sweet you are?” I muttered as her tongue wrapped around mine.
“Holy shit, Coop,” she breathed, looking at me in awe. “Come on.” She jumped up, and moved along the empty seats until she stood at the exit to the theatre.
I quickly moved to follow her. “I thought you wanted to see a movie,” I smirked.
She rolled her eyes. “You know I had no intention of sitting through that,” she giggled. “So, that was fun, huh?” She grinned at me.
I nodded, running my tongue over my lips. “I think the word is hot.”
“Do you wanna get a drink? If you’re not too busy.” She looked at me hopefully.
I nodded. “Sure. How about there?” I pointed to a diner across the road.
We walked across the road and sat down in the near-deserted diner. The waitress came over and we ordered milkshakes, both chocolate.
“Thanks for that, Coop. That has kind of been something I’ve been wanting to do for awhile.” She giggled, her cheeks flushing red.
“The pleasure was all mine. You know how much I love your pussy,” I murmured, my eyes on hers.
She glanced down, almost embarrassed, which was so unlike her.
The waitress came back with our drinks.
“How come I’ve never been to your house?” Beth piped up.
“Um, I don’t know,” I replied, surprised. None of my clients came to my house. But then Beth was a friend, too, so maybe it was strange she’d never been to my home.
“Maybe we could catch up over the weekend? Just as friends,” she added quickly, a blush creeping across her cheeks.
“Now is not a good time. I kind of have someone staying with me, and explaining you would be impossible.” I could just imagine Mia’s reaction to having a triple-platinum nineteen-year-old singer hanging out at my place.
Beth stared at me curiously, her expression breaking into a smile. “It’s a chick, and you like her!” she announced.
“I don’t like her,” I argued. “We’re friends.”
“Friends, my ass,” Beth giggled. “This is great! Coop has a girlfriend,” she sang, waving her hands around like a two-year-old hyped up on sugar.
“Shhhh! I don’t have a fucking girlfriend,” I growled, embarrassed.
“But you wish she w
as, don’t you?” Beth raised her eyebrows.
I shook my head, even though there was no point denying it. “It doesn’t matter, ‘cause it’s never going to happen,” I replied. “I’m an escort. How do I work that into the conversation?”
“Tel her how you feel. If she feels the same way, you never know, she might be understanding.”
I stared at Beth like she’d grown a second head. “Understanding? If she were the escort, and I was in love with her I sure as hell wouldn’t be understanding about her fucking other men.”
“You love her?” Beth looked at me like she would a little puppy.
“I didn’t say that,” I grumbled. I had convinced myself I didn’t know her well enough to be falling in love with her. Three years, twelve years ago hardly counts, right? Besides, Mia had made it pretty clear she wasn’t ready for anything serious.
“Coop. If you like her, you gotta tell her. If it came down to doing this, or falling in love, you’re telling me you’d stick with this?” she looked at me skeptically.
“It’s not that easy, Beth. I can’t give this job up, because this is what pays for Mom’s treatment. How can I do that to my own mother?”
Beth was quiet for a moment as she processed what I’d told her. Finally, she nodded. “I get that, Coop. If I was in your situation, I’d do whatever I could to help my mom.” She sighed and shook her head. “This sucks.”
I chuckled. “That it does. But it could be worse. I could have Entertainment Tonight reporting I’m bi-curious.”
“Seriously? Where the fuck do they get their info?” Beth groaned.
“Well obviously they make it up,” I smirked, standing up. “Anyway, I have to go. Duty calls.” She waved me off as I walked to the exit.
Chapter Fifteen
I felt surprisingly calm as I approached the penthouse on the twentieth floor for the second time in ten days. I thought back to the last time I’d been there and wondered what they had in store for me. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t the slightest bit turned on at the idea of Ben sucking my cock again.
I approached the room and rapped gently on the door. The door opened. Brittany stood there, smiling at me. Holy fuck. She looked unbelievable in what appeared to be a private schoolgirl uniform, complete with knee-high socks and a plaid skirt so short it could pass as a belt.
