Hear Me, Daddy: Rainbow Room Book 2

“Why was he here in the first place?”

It couldn’t be a coincidence. First, Ian Callahan showed up and told us about the parole hearing, and now an undercover agent shows up at my office. Maybe I was paranoid, but this was a tad too much coincidence for me.

To my surprise, Zach blushed when he glanced at the FBI Agent, and it clicked. “Oh, hell, no.”

“Don’t look at me like that, Caden. I have a right to my private life.”

  “An undercover agent? Seriously?”

“I think we have more important things to discuss right now. Don’t you think?” Marcus O’Hare said in a loud, confident voice before he walked over to the table and sat down. I looked back at Zach, who glared at me before he followed his…boyfriend? Lover? “Or do want to continue to discuss our sex life.”

“We're not going to talk about your sex life. Caden is going to suck it up, sit down, and listen.”

Jakob was such a prude and locked up about his sex life, so I opened my mouth to say something. But I closed it again after Jakob shot me a warning look. Fine, I didn’t need to question Zach’s personal life right now, but I would corner him and talk about it at some point. Pulling out a chair, I sat down and loosened the knot of my tie.

“Okay, fine. I’m sitting. Who wants to go first? What the hell is going on?”

“I came here to talk to you,” Jakob explained, and I concentrated on him, instead of Zach and his secret undercover boyfriend. “Then I saw Marcus and his tattoo, and I had a hunch that he could help us.”

“Because of his tattoo?” Raising my eyebrows, I glanced over to where Marcus O’Hare sat.

“It’s real,” Marcus said, catching me looking at his neck. “On cases like this, not getting a tattoo can get you killed.”

“And getting one can get someone else killed,” my mouth purged out before I could stop.

  “Caden.”

“What?” Looking from the undercover agent to Zach, I shrugged. “I know what they have to do to get their tattoo.”

  “Because Michael Altmann told you.”

“What the hell do you know about Michael Altmann?”

My gaze snapped back to Marcus O’Hare, and I bristled. This whole situation was getting to me, and I still had no clue what was going on.

“I know pretty much everything about him.” Marcus grabbed a bottle of water from the middle of the table and drank from it before he sat back and looked at me again. “I was assigned to this group last year, and I have studied all the files we have on the Altmann family. When Jakob talked to me in the hallway, and he asked if he could ask me some questions about white supremacy cults, I figured that it had something to do with Michael.”

  “Why?”

“It would be an odd coincidence that Ian Callahan flew to New York to inform Michael about the parole hearing. Then a few days later, Jakob asks me about the same parole hearing for a quote, unquote friend who needs help. Don’t you think? Truthfully, I don’t believe in coincidences.”

“I spoke with Agent Callahan and did some research. Also, Sam did some background checks on the members of the parole board. Seeing Marcus and the tattoo.” Jakob shrugged. “I felt he was the right person to ask about questions I had. I had no idea that I was asking the perfect person. That’s why we called you.”

“Why do I have the feeling that this isn’t good?”

“Nothing about the Altmann family is good.” Marcus shook his head and took a deep breath. “But not everything is bad. There are only a handful of people who know that Michael is still alive. If it stays that way, he’s safe.”

“And if not?” Remembering what Henry had told me, what would happen if his family ever found out.

“Let me tell you something about families like this. They’re all about blood and honor.” If that was supposed to calm me down, it didn’t. If anything, it worried me even more, especially when Marcus kept on talking. “Once you dishonor the family name…let’s just say, you need to do something to earn the respect of the family back.”

“Hen…Michael said that they would kill him if they ever found him. Why would he need to earn back their respect? I know he has no intention of returning to them.”

“I’m not talking about Michael. Just for the record, I know about his new identity. So you can call him Henry.”

For a moment, I thought he was about to say something else about Henry. Instead, he just smiled a very knowing smile. Which meant our little secret was not so secret anymore. But Marcus didn’t seem very interested in Henry and my personal life.

“I would appreciate it if you called him Henry as well. He hasn’t been Michael for years.”

“Fair enough. Just to be clear, I was not talking about Henry. I’m talking about his brother. Robert.”

“He’s the one who tried to kill Henry,” Jakob said with a small frown. “As far as they know, he succeeded. Why would he be disgraced?”

A sudden revelation hit me and turned my stomach. “Because he wasn’t supposed to kill him,” I answered, and Marcus nodded. “He should have brought him back. They wanted him punished as a traitor because he tried to run away.”

“Yes. Listen, I can’t get into details about my assignment, but I can tell you that the beating wasn’t the first time that Robert fucked up.” Marcus got up and started to walk the short distance to the windows. He looked out, and then he turned around again. “Robert is the reason the Altmann family ended up on the FBI’s watchlist. To earn his tattoo, he was supposed to mess up some Jewish bakery. He did it, but that act attracted the FBI’s attention to him and the family.”

“Robert and a couple of others destroyed a Jewish bakery in Louisville. Why would that gain the attention of the FBI?”

“Wait…” Confused, I looked at Jakob, who frowned and pulled out his phone. He tapped away for a second before he looked up again. “He crossed a state line. It became a Federal crime when he did that.”

“That’s right. Robert had clear instructions to stay in Kentucky. But he didn’t. The bakery was in Indiana.” Marcus nodded and sat back down again. “Robert’s father, Richard, was not happy with his firstborn. The bakery incident was a costly mistake. Richard gave Robert another chance a couple of years later. Bring Michael back to the family, and the bakery incident would be a memory and forgiven.”

“But Robert fucked up again because as far as the family knows, he accidentally killed his brother.” This family’s crazy, just totally bat shit crazy. But something else caught my attention. “I can understand why Richard didn’t interfere with the trial. He wanted to avoid more interest from the FBI and to punish Robert. But why would Richard Altmann want Robert out of prison early? Why now?”

“As far as we know, Richard Altmann could have easily bribed the jury and the judge during Robert’s trial. Hell, the Altmanns have bribed half the town of Pinewood and scared the crap out of the other half. But Richard was worried about having too much attention from the FBI if he interfered with Robert’s trial.”

“Sam and I thought about that, and that’s why we did some digging. At least three members of the parole board are corrupt and taking bribes,” Jakob said calmly.

“Okay, but it still doesn’t answer my question. Why now?” That thought was bugging me. “Why the change of heart? Why now? I mean, if Robert is not in his father’s good graces and his father wants him punished…why help him with the parole hearing?”

“Because Richard has come to a point where he needs Robert.” Marcus looked at Zach, who nodded slowly. “I got this assignment two years ago, and it took me months to get in the Altmanns’s inner circle.” Again, Marcus looked at Zach, but this time it took longer before he continued, “What I am about to tell you can never leave this room.”

“Of course,” Jakob agreed as soon as Marcus closed his mouth. I wasn’t sure what I was promising, but Jakob glared at me until I shrugged.

  “Fine.”

“I’m serious. The entire operation is much bigger than just o
ne person. If word gets out…it’s not only Henry’s life on the line.”

“I don’t care about this family, but I want Henry to be safe.” That earned me another of Zach’s, knowing smiles. “Just tell us what we can do to keep him safe and out of reach from his family.”

“We are currently working on shutting down the compound and arresting most of the family members. Most of them are facing federal charges. That’s all I can tell you about my assignment.”

“Sorry, but I’m not interested in your assignment. What has this got to do with Henry?”

“Whatever the Altmanns are up to, they need Robert. Richard has become desperate and would do anything to get him out of prison. We found out that prison has made Robert more dangerous. He desperately wants to get back into the good graces of his father, and for him, the only way to do this is to finish what he started back then.”

“So, this has nothing to do with Henry being a traitor or gay. It’s personal.” Holy shit. That made everything so much worse. Swallowing hard, I rubbed my eyes before I looked at Marcus again when he spoke.

“The real threat to Henry is not the family. It’s Robert.”

“We need to keep him from finding out where Henry is,” Jakob quietly said, and Marcus nodded.

“I’ll do whatever I can to help you, but this may be the only help you’ll get from the FBI. Ian Callahan wasn’t supposed to tell Henry about the parole hearing. Ian is acting strangely about the whole situation. I can tell you that the FBI’s number one goal is to bring down the Altmann family and members of the cult. No matter what.”

“And of course, they’re not thinking about possible collateral damage if Robert kills Henry,” Jakob spoke out what I feared even to think.

“I’m sorry. But the Altmanns are a threat to national security, and the FBI is not the only agency involved. As I said, I’ll do whatever I can to help you. But the truth is? You’re basically on your own in protecting Henry.”

“I’ll protect him with my life if I have to.” The words were out before I could even think about them.

“Let me give you a last piece of advice. Watch your back and watch out for Agent Callahan.”

Both Jacob and Zach stared at me as they waited for a comment to Marcus’s advice. I ignored it, got up, and looked at three men.

  “I’m going home now.”

“Caden…” Jakob tried to hold me back.

“Just do whatever it takes to help, but I’m going home now.” I glared at Jakob. We both knew that he felt the same when Sam went through his ordeal. After a moment, he nodded.

“I’ll call you when I know more.”

  “Thanks.”

  “Caden?”

“What?” I snapped when Jakob stopped me again. “Sorry. What Jakob?”

“We’ll keep Henry safe, no matter what.”

  “Sorry. Yeah. I know. I just…”

“I get it. Go home.” Jakob released me and winked.

  Chapter 19

  Henry

By the time my doorbell rang that evening, my sexual frustration was so high I was ready to jump Caden as soon as he stepped off the elevator. I’d thought a cock cage would be fun and a constant reminder of my Daddy. Well, it was a constant reminder of my Daddy. But fun? No. Not so much. The day lasted forever. When the elevator doors finally opened, I let out a deep sigh.

  “Daddy.”

I wanted to say something else, but before I could take a step in his direction, Caden was in front of me and hugging me to his chest. Weird. Well, it was pleasant but…strange.

“Daddy?” Caden leaned back so he could look at me.

  “I’m sorry, Cupcake. I needed a hug.”

“Oh.” That’s right. Caden told me that Daddies are sometimes needy, too. Rubbing my cheek against his, I just held onto him for a moment before I craned my neck back. “Feel better now?”

  “A little, yes.”

“You can hold me as much as you need, Daddy.”

“I have every intention of doing that.” Caden let his hands roam over my back until he grabbed the back of my thighs. Lifting me took me by surprise, but I wrapped my legs around his waist and held onto his shoulders. In this position, I couldn’t sign, so I spoke. “Are you good, or do you need a change? Because I want to take you to bed and hold you.”

“Bed?” I perked up at that. My penis tried to, too, but then I saw something that looked like sorrow in his eyes. Worried, I leaned back without losing my grip on his shoulders and looked at him. He looked good as always, but now I saw the dark shadows under his eyes and the small frown wrinkle between his eyebrows. “Caden?”

“It’s okay if you don’t want to. We can cuddle on the sofa.”

  “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing.” I could see that he was lying, but then he kissed me. When he pulled back from the kiss, he made sure that I could see what he was saying. “I just need to hold you as close as possible, Henry.”

“I’ll always be there if you need me.”

  “Promise me.”

“What?” Confused, I blinked and then shook my head, not sure if I had seen his words correctly. But Caden repeated what he said.

“Promise me, Henry. Promise me that you’ll always be here.”

“I will always be here.” I wasn’t going to point out the conversation we’d had a couple of days ago about this very subject. Deep down, I knew that Caden needed me. He needed this connection, and a distraction from whatever was haunting him. Running my hands along his shoulders, it became my mission to distract him and to give him some peace of mind. “What are we going to do in bed?”

  “Cuddling. Lots of cuddling.”

  “Naked cuddling?”

“I’d love that, Cupcake.” Caden took my lips in a passionate kiss while he carried me towards the bedroom. Even though Caden was acting weird, I shivered at the promise in his words. “Have you been good today?”

“Yes, but it was soooo hard.” I groaned when I said that word because I’d been far away from hard. I could feel Caden’s chest vibrating as he laughed at that and raised my eyebrow. “What? It was. It was so hard.”

“I bet it was. Did you look at your cage and think of me when you changed yourself?”

“Yes, Daddy. Will you take it off now?”

“I don’t know.” Caden sat me down on the bed, and I huffed.

“But I’ve been such a good Boy. Besides, we can’t have sex when I’m wearing a cage.”

  “Says who?”

“Umm…” Dammit. I had to think of a good answer and quick. “I do?”

“Uh-huh, and who’s in charge?” Caden asked while he started to unbutton his dress shirt. My eyes followed his fingers, and I moaned as his skin appeared. But then he stopped and crocked his finger until I looked up at his mouth. “Who’s in charge, Henry?”

  “Y-You, Daddy.”

“Who decides if the cage comes off?”

“But having sex with the cage is no fun.” Damn it. This is not going the way I want. Oh, maybe if I change tactics. Turning around, I shuffled on my bed until I was on all fours and wiggled my ass and smiled, hopefully seductively, up at him. “But you know what would be fun. If you could see how hard I am, when you fuck me, Daddy.”

“What if I still say no?”

“Then this is going to be the worst first sex ever. Like epic bad.”

“Epic bad? Really?” Caden raised his eyebrows, and I nodded.

“Yeah, but it could be epically good. Without the cage.”

  “You think so?”

“Yes.” I nodded enthusiastically, got up on my knees, and pulled my shirt over my head. Think, Henry, think. Oh. That would be perfect, well, hopefully. “You, seeing my willy dripping precum as you enter me.” Caden's eyes darkened, and he started to unbutton his shirt again. I sat back and shoved my shorts over my hip, revealing my diaper. I could feel my cheeks heating up but ignored it. It was Caden, my Daddy. There was no need to be ashamed in front of him. Taking a deep breath, I
continued, “You could feel me getting harder and harder when you wrap your hand around my willy while you stretch my hole with your big Daddy cock. Umm, or we could see if you can make me come without even touching my willy.”

“Holy shit, Henry. Where did you learn to dirty talk like this?”

“I watch a lot of porn. You know. Research for my books.”

“I read all your Lucian Holston books. There isn’t much sex in them.”

“Oh, that. Yeah, well, I write age play novels, under my Little Boy Blue pen-name and…” Caden knelt on the bed and laid his finger on my lips.

“Shh. You can tell me about those books later. Now I want to hear more of your dirty talk.”

Shrugging, I leaned back and pulled Caden with me. Oh God, feeling his weight on top of me was the best feeling ever. Okay, maybe I’d change my mind about that later when we finally had sex, but for now, it was perfect.

“I can feel how hard you are, Daddy, and I can’t wait to feel your monster python in me.” Caden's head snapped up so quickly that I giggled, and my laughter bubbled over when Caden glared at me. “Please, Daddy, show me your one-eyed wonder worm.”

“I think we should leave the cage on for the rest of the week.”

“Nooooooo. I promise I won’t call it monster python or one-eyed wonder worm anymore.”

“Yeah? Why should I believe a sex-driven little Monkey like you? You’d promise me anything to get your way.”

“Yes. I mean, no. I mean…” Taking a deep breath, I tried to stop the laughter that threatened to burst out again. Caden was so cute when he huffed and puffed because of the nicknames I gave his cock. But the cage for a week? When we were about to have sex. “I can promise you lots of good things, Daddy. We just need to get naked first.”

“I’ll get naked, and you stay like this and tell me about the good things. No more calling my cock anything else than Daddy's cock.”

“You expect me to concentrate on words when you’re getting naked?” Was he insane?

“You’re an author, Henry. I’m sure you can handle it. Come on, my little sex-driven Monkey, tell me what you want me to do to you.”
