I cleaned myself up and washed my hands and blurted out, “Bitch, I know that you glad that Jay…” I cut myself off as I opened the restroom door and stuck my head out. There Jay was just standing in the hallway looking like he wanted to knock Kerry’s head off.

I know that she was caught off guard because she was stuttering and shit. Personally, I would have been going off because I could have sworn that she had told his ass to pack his shit and leave. It wasn’t like he was paying any bills around that bitch.

“You really want me to leave, Kerry?” he asked, with pleading eyes.

“I already told you, Jay,” she sassed, making sure to keep some distance between them.

“Alright, alright. I’m about to go,” he nodded as he walked to the bedroom.

He was taking his time going through the closet looking for God knows what. After a while, it was obvious that this nigga wasn’t trying to go anywhere. Over thirty minutes had passed and he was claiming that he was looking for the light bill so that he could pay it. That shit made no sense whatsoever, and if Kerry was falling for that shit, then she was a lot dumber than I thought. He didn’t even pay bills around there so why would he start now when he’s getting kicked out?

I checked the back window to see if Slim and Boo were still sitting in my car. Sure enough, they were still out there in the heat burning up waiting on us to come rescue them. I felt that it was only right that I go check on them so I told Kerry that I was going to my car. I went down and explained the dilemma to them and they pretty much knew the deal before I even opened my mouth.

Shit just got crazier and crazier that day. Since Jay was moving half speed, I pulled Kerry aside and told her to put her foot down. Jay had been making too many trips back and forth between Kerry and his sister’s apartment around the corner. She told him to make that trip his last. After we thought that he was finally gone, we let Slim and Boo inside. We were once again kicking it when Jay comes back again, only this time he had his pregnant sister with him. They knocked on the door once and then just swung it open. Kerry and Boo were in the kitchen cooking together like they were newlyweds or some shit. The look on Jay’s face was priceless; still that crazy fucker went into the back room claiming that he forgot a shoe. A minute later he came back with the one shoe and stopped in the kitchen to grab something to drink.

“Can I get some food to take to work?” he asked Kerry as if Boo wasn’t standing right next to her.

“I don’t care, Jay,” Kerry sighed.

“Jay, hurry your ass up! You see that she don’t want your ass here.”

Jay opened the freezer and took a swig from the jug.

“What the fuck is this,” I shook my head. That was some Young and Ghetto type shit.

As Jay walked through the living room, he accidentally bumped into Slim’s foot. “My bad, my bad,” he immediately apologized.

I found that real funny especially after Kerry told me all the stories of how he claimed that he was a heavy hitter and would down any nigga over her. Now, look at him apologizing to one of the niggas that was invading his house. What a fucking joke Jay was.

Believe it or not, after all of that, the four of us still kicked it for like three days straight. Jay came by begging every day. He even pled his case to Slim one day when he saw in him on the porch. That dude was truly pathetic.

In those three days, I got real close to Slim. He was cute with a real laid-back personality. We could talk about anything from politics to sex and he shared insight on everything. I can’t say that I was in love, but I was definitely infatuated. He had that real thug thing going on that kind of reminded me of Ken. I just couldn’t leave those street niggas alone. There was something about how they spoke right down to the way they fucked me. Slim had definitely put it down even though he’d fronted a little. He talked all this shit about not eating pussy and then tried to put his whole damn head in it that night. There was no part of my body left untouched. Within those three days, we’d fucked every bit of fifteen times.

By the fourth day, I took Boo home and left Kerry at her spot. She was looking like a sad puppy dog and I knew that the moment we left that apartment Jay would be right back in. I warned her that if she took him back, things would only get worse after the stunt she pulled; but hey, that was her problem.

I had a new friend and I just couldn’t get enough of Slim, aka Chantez. I would go to work and go right back and kick it with him. That’s all I could see. Since neither of us had our own crib we had to be creative in finding spots to get busy. He was slowly becoming my addiction and the fact that we both shared a love for Xanax was a deadly combination.

  Chapter 4

  Killah

As I was driving down the street, that chick, Celebrity, popped into my mind. I just couldn’t figure that broad out. She had dissed me twice. She had to be going for some kind of world record. We talked on the phone all weekend long and I thought that we were feeling each other and then on Sunday she didn’t bother to answer my calls. I found myself trying to figure out where I went wrong with her. It fucked me up knowing that no matter how I came at that chick, she just wasn’t feeling a nigga. Nah, I couldn’t accept that shit. So, I dialed her up.

“Hello,” she giggled as she answered the phone.

“Hey, what’s up?” I asked her.

  “Killah?” she asked.

“Yeah. What’s up with you? You forgot about a nigga?”

  “Uh, no…it’s not like that.”

  “So how is it?”

“Baby, look at this shit right here,” I heard a nigga say in the background.

“Huh?” she said to him. I could clearly hear a TV in the background so I guess that they were caking at the crib or some shit.

  “You busy?” I asked her.

“Uh, kind of, but what’s up?”

“Shit, right now it don’t even matter. Why don’t you call me when you got some free time,” I suggested.

For some reason I felt betrayed. I was supposed to be the nigga there kicking it with her. I knew that the nigga with her did that shit on purpose too. He knew exactly what he was doing when he started talking in background.

“Okay. I will,” she said before she ended the call.

That girl was on the fast track to crushing a nigga’s ego. Right then I decided to close that chapter before I turned into a little simp. Ya boy was way too playa to let a broad get the best of him. I don’t even know why I couldn’t get that one chick out of my mind. It wasn’t like I didn’t have a hundred other broads checking for me. Bitches were constantly blowing my cell up, wanting to just get a minute of my time. And I think that that was the problem; I actually enjoyed the chase and nobody had made me do that shit since Courtney. Easy was cool, but only for the minute.

I had just finished collecting my money from all of my trap houses and was just driving around with no destination. I couldn’t resist it and called the chat line. I was right in Acres Homes and came across a broad that was right in the hood. She described herself as short, thick with a caramel complexion, light brown eyes, and a nice body. So I left a message with my number. It didn’t take long before she called me up.

“Hello,” I answered as I drove around.

“Hey, is this Killah?” she asked.

  “Yeah, and this is?”

  “Kerry,” she answered.

“Kerry, huh? And you say that you live in the fo’ fo’, huh?”

“Yeah, over here in Copper Tree.”

“Damn, mama you over there in the jects, huh?”

She giggled. “Hey a place to stay is a place to stay.”

“I heard that. So, where your baby daddy at? I know you got one.”

  “His ass somewhere.”

“No shit? So when can I see you?”

“Right now if you want to,” she answered with no hesitation.

  “Are you at home?”

  “Yeah.”

“Well, to be honest I ain’t trying to go through Copper Tree like t
hat.”

“Well, I could meet you at the store or something,” she offered.

That broad was a little too eager and it was making me nervous. She could be trying to set a nigga up. I had my nine with me so I was far from naked, but you could never be too sure.

“What you trying to do?” I asked her to see her angle.

“If we meet and like each other then it’s whatever,” she claimed. I could tell by her tone that she was talking about fucking.

I could stand to bust a few nuts, so I was like fuck it. “Alright mama, I’m going to meet you at that Texaco across the street.”

“Okay. At what time cause I ain’t got no cell phone.”

“In ten minutes,” I told her as I pulled into the daycare’s parking lot right across from the Texaco.

  “Okay,” she replied.

“What are you going to be wearing so that I’ll know that it’s you?” I asked her.

“I’m going to have on some blue jeans and a pink shirt.”

  “Okay. I’ll be there.”

“Alright,” she said before she hung up the phone.

I was just sitting and waiting to make sure that everything was legit. She didn’t even know what kind of ride I was in and I parked across the street from the store to make sure that she wasn’t on no funny shit, like trying to set a nigga up. And then I could also see her before she saw me, and if I didn’t like what I was seeing I could just leave without her ever knowing.

After about twelve minutes, I spotted a female walking across the street in a pink shirt. From a distance, she seemed decent. She was wearing one of those weave ponytails, and had on some skin-tight jeans. Her hips were wide as hell which made her waist seem small. I needed to get closer to get a glimpse of the face and ass, so I drove the Lac across the street to the Texaco. I pulled up right in front of her. I saw her mouth drop as she checked out my slab.

“Are you Kerry?” I asked her.

  “Yeah,” she nodded. “You Killah?”

“Yeah. You want to get in?”

She wasted no time in walking to the passenger’s side and hopping in. I took that time to check her out. She had light brown eyes just like she said that were framed with some natural long eye lashes; but even with that, she was just average in the face. Her little cheap hairstyle definitely brought down her value a bit. You could tell that she was the normal project bitch. She seemed kind of familiar, but I just couldn’t place her face. Still she was fuckable.

I drove out of the parking lot and she never even bothered to ask where I was headed. This was too easy. I took her to the first motel that I came across. I got the room for just an hour because that’s all that I needed with her.

As soon as we stepped foot in the room, I turned on a flick and sat at the edge of the bed.

“I think that I saw you somewhere before,” she said from the couch in the sitting area.

“Oh, yeah? Maybe you have,” I sighed.

“I know that you have to have a girlfriend,” she uttered out of nowhere.

“Why you say that?” I asked her with a raised brow.

“Cause you got too much going on. You got that nice car. You fine as hell. You know… the whole package.”

I just shrugged cause I wasn’t going to hold a conversation with her ass. “What’s up, baby? What you trying to do?” I asked her getting straight to the point.

“Let me show you,” she smirked, as she walked over to me. She grabbed my belt buckle and undid it right along with my jeans. She stuck her hand in my boxers and grabbed my dick. “Got damn you packing,” she tittered, right before she took me into her mouth.

That broad had some jaws on her. She was sucking the hell out of my dick and then she let me skeet down her throat. Then five minutes later, I was hard again and I placed on that extra-large Magnum and went to work. I had her nasty ass screaming. That broad was a true freak and actually rode my dick as I fucked her in the ass. I started regretting not getting more than an hour. I had no idea of what kind of slut I’d just found. In just one hour, I busted four nuts. She let me cum wherever I wanted. The last one I smeared all over her face.

I drove her home feeling relaxed as hell and that’s when she decided to strike.

“Um, do you think that you can give me forty dollars cause I need to by my baby some pampers.”

“Forty dollars? Oh, I ain’t got that much on me right now,” I lied.

“Well, do you have twenty?” she asked.

A part of me felt bad because she had to be broke, but I didn’t like how she was coming at me. I don’t pay for pussy. Still I don’t like to see kids go without so I said, “Yeah, I got twenty,” I knew that if she was telling the truth then twenty dollars could buy her baby some diapers.

I went right in my ashtray and got a twenty and handed it to her. That was the money that I gave to the fiends to clean my car so it was nothing. She seemed very appreciative. Then shit got a little crazy when she ducked down in the seat when we entered her apartments.

“Oh, shit that’s my husband by the mailboxes,” she panicked.

  “Your husband?” I repeated.

  “Yeah, my husband.”

  “Are y’all still together?”

  “Something like that.”

“What that mean? Does he live over here with you?”

“Yeah,” she nodded. “Drop me off in the back of the apartments so that he can’t see me get out of your car.”

I did what she asked not believing how grimy that broad was. She was out here tricking for twenty dollars while she had a damn man at home. That nigga would probably kill her if he could’ve seen all the shit she just allowed me to do. Boy, I tell you, bitches ain’t shit but hoes and tricks.

  Chapter 5

  Keirah

Man, was I exhausted after my nine-hour shift at work. My damn feet were killing me. I was earning every dime Home Depot paid me. I was hoping to go home and have some uninterrupted sleep, but I hadn’t even made it to my car before Slim was calling my phone.

  “Hello,” I answered.

“Are you on your way over here?” he asked me.

Every day I got with him was draining. He lived on the opposite side of town and the last thing I wanted to do was drive to him then have to turn around and drive home. I was crazy over Chantez, but he didn’t have his shit together. When we first met, he was going through temp services for work, but he’s trying to hustle again. I’m the type to hate to see a nigga down on his luck so I gave him a $150 to buy some work. He’d been flipping it for weeks and now had his own little change. Since I understood the game, I told him to keep every penny he made and continue to flip it. I can’t stand a nigga that hustles backwards. You won’t see your money if you make a little change and spend it as soon as you get it. You have to keep on doubling up each time, so I would pay for Slim to get haircuts and shit like that so he wouldn’t have to touch his re-up money. I did all of this on my own without him having to ask. I guess that he thought that I was doing that to win him over, but the truth is I just didn’t want to be dealing with a broke ass nigga. Ken would laugh his ass off if he saw me with some nigga that I had to take care of who didn’t have a hustle of his own. Shit, I like money too much to just give mine away, so helping Slim was just a means to an end.

“Baby, I don’t know if I’m going to come out there today. I’m tired as hell,” I admitted, as I got in my car.

“What you mean? Man…you playing games. All of a sudden you too damn tired to come see me? You think I’m stupid, huh?” he growled.

“Chantez, what the hell are you talking about? I have been at work since six this morning and it is now four o’clock. Count that shit up, I been there for ten damn hours and working for nine of that.”

“Man…that’s just one more hour than you usually work.”

“Okay, but did you forget that we went to sleep last night or should I say this morning at three. I got two and half hours of sleep.”

“So, come take a nap o
ver here.”

“Chantez, more than likely you’re going to hit the block for a little while so just let me get some rest for a little while. Let me go home and sleep until about eight or nine, and then I’ll come out there. I don’t have to be at work until three tomorrow.”

“Yeah, okay. Just call me when you wake up,” he sighed, before hanging up. I was trying to figure out if he was trying to hang up in my face, or if the conversation was over. I decided to leave it alone and head to the crib.

When I got home, I laid in my bed and I was knocked out before my head hit the pillow. I slept well and didn’t wake up until midnight. I thought that Slim had decided to let me rest since he hadn’t called my phone, until I realized that my cell was dead. So I plugged in my charger and turned the phone back on. I found that I had missed eight calls before my phone even went dead and I had thirteen voicemails. Five out of the eight calls were from Slim and the other three were from Angel, Winter, and Kerry. Before I called anybody back, I checked my voicemail.

“Now I see what kind of games your motherfuckin ass is playing. See, you will make a nigga do something bad to you,” Slim had the nerve to threaten me.

I listened to all of his messages and a couple of my girls’. Everybody wanted to know why I didn’t answer the phone. It was crazy how I was the person with the most shit on my plate, but still I was the person everybody expected to be there when they called.

I had to take a deep breath before I called Slim back. “Hello,” he answered the phone breathing like a dragon.

“Hey, what’s up?” I asked him.

“You just now calling me back?” he asked like he couldn’t believe it.

“Slim, don’t do me like that. I fell asleep and forgot to put the phone on the charger so it went dead on me.”

“Bullshit. I know how a phone rings when it’s dead and your voicemail just started picking up about an hour ago. So what was the deal before then?”

“I was in a deep sleep and I didn’t hear it ring.”

“I’m supposed to believe that shit?” he asked me.
