“So, what happened to the baby?” Trent asked.

  “I had an abortion.”

“Is that what he wanted too?”

“No. Actually he was mad both times. The second time he got so mad that he chocked me.”

“Wait, wait. You had two abortions?”

  “For him,” I nodded.

“That’s fucked up on your part and I think that I would have chocked your ass too. You’re trying to make it sound like you killed those babies because of him, when it was really because you were selfish. You wanted to remain free and be with that nigga. It didn’t matter what that nigga would’ve done. You still would have killed his kids.”

  “You don’t know that.”

“Yes I do. I can see it in your eyes, and seems to me that he still has feelings for you.”

“I don’t know about all of that. Besides, I don’t think that he likes me like that. Too much shit has happened between us.”

  “Like?”

“Like he brought Ken to my mama’s house and they set me up.”

“What? They set you up?” he asked confused.

“Yeah, once Ken got out of jail, I never bothered to tell him about the pregnancies. He’d been hearing rumors about me and Marcus, but I denied most of it. I knew that they knew each other and used to be cool once upon a time, but I didn’t know that they were still in touch. Well anyway, Marcus called me talking about me killing his babies. I was arguing with him not knowing that Ken could hear everything. So, after I hung up the phone with Marcus, Ken called and asked me to step outside. When I came outside they were both out there.”

Trent was laughing hysterically. “That’s good for your slick ass. So, what did they say?”

“Ken asked me why had I been lying to him and Marcus kept telling him all my dirty little secrets. I was so embarrassed. Then they stood there and told me to choose.”

“Aw, hell naw! Them niggas is crazy. They both should have dropped your ass.”

“Whatever,” I rolled my eyes. “Anyway, I chose Ken. Then he and Marcus got into a fight. The police had to come out and everything.”

Trent shook his head. “I think that pussy got some kryptonite in it. It drives niggas crazy.”

  “I don’t know.”

“So, how many other abortions have you had other than those two?” he asked, getting serious.

  “Why do you ask?”

“Because you said for him as if that was just the case with him. So, I assume that there were more. I already know about the one for my brother.”

“Well, in all, there was three and one miscarriage.”

“Got damn, so you’ve been pregnant four times?” he asked in disbelief.

  “Yeah.”

He shook his head. “Wow,” he stressed. “I don’t know about you. You try to play the victim, but the more I see, it was you that was doing the damage. You was killing niggas’ babies for no real reason.”

“You might be right. I guess that I wasn’t always making the best decisions.”

“So, would you do that now?”

  “Do what?” I asked.

  “Get an abortion?”

  “But I’m not pregnant.”

“What if you were? Would you kill my baby?”

  “No…I don’t think so.”

“You don’t think so? I don’t think I like that answer.”

“Well, what do you want me to say?”

“I want you to say that you would never make that kind of decision without me.”

  I shrugged. “You got that.”

“Do I?” he asked with a raised brow.

“Yes,” I bit my bottom lip, as I gazed into his eyes. “I promise.”

  Chapter 20

  Killah

“Aw, those flowers are too cute,” some chick said as she admired the array of flowers. I was in Kroger’s grabbing something to drink when I walked past two chicks. “I wish Aaron would buy me something like this,” the girl continued.

I was never the type of nigga to do shit like that. I mean, there wasn’t anything wrong with a man showing how much he cared, but it never really entered my mind. Shit, I dropped out major cash for my bitch, but flowers? That was the small shit that women seemed to go crazy over. I thought about Keirah. She was a woman that had stopped believing in fairytales, so she didn’t expect for a nigga to come in and sweep her off of her feet. So, even though I usually didn’t go around buying flowers, I copped some, just to prove her wrong.

I drove to my house where I had left Keirah. When I left she was still asleep. In fact, she had been sleep most of the day. I assumed that she was just tired after a long week at work. That job paid good, but it really wore her out. Sometimes I just wanted to tell her that she never had to go back again. The only thing that stopped me was my doubts. I knew that I loved her undoubtedly, but the fact that she hadn’t told me how she felt bothered me. I didn’t want to be in it alone. It was really crazy, because I saw nothing but love in her eyes every time I saw her. The way she touched me screamed love, but she couldn’t bring herself to verbally say it. I knew that she had hang-ups, but there should have been no hesitation when it came to me.

When I hopped out of my car, I skipped into the crib. As soon as I walked through the door, good smelling aromas hit my nose. I didn’t know what she was cooking, but it had my mouth watering. It never failed; she was always cooking for me no matter how tired she was. It was little shit like that kept me going.

I walked into the kitchen. She was standing there looking so sexy. She was rocking black booty shorts with a black race-back tee. I had to fight the urge to do her right there.

She had cooked cheese chicken spaghetti, shrimp salad, and garlic bread. “Damn girl, you don hooked it up in here,” I smiled, as she had her back to me.

“I know, right,” she turned around with a grin. “What’s that you got?”

I looked at the white roses as if I had forgotten I had them. “Oh, these?”

  “Yeah, those.”

  “Oh, these are for you.”

  “For me?” she momentarily froze.

“Yeah, for you,” I smiled as I watched her reaction. She had a confused look on her face.

  “But why?”

“Cause, I thought that you should have them,” I handed them to her.

She examined them for a few seconds before speaking. “Thank you,” she beamed as she gave me a hug followed by a long, wet kiss.

“Okay, now let me fix your food,” she breathed, as she pulled away.

I took a seat and watched her as she moved around in my kitchen. For some reason, I started imagining her with a huge round belly. I had never had thoughts like that before. She definitely had my nose wide open and I wasn’t even tripping.

“Here you go,” she said as she served my food to me.

We sat and ate. I was feeling good while she gave me goggle eyes making my dick hard. The food was on point, so I had to have seconds. After she cleaned the kitchen, she pulled me to the living room. She pushed me on the couch before lowering to her knees. She undid my jeans, and pulled damage out. She stroked me while licking the head. She teased me for a while, and then wrapped those soft lips around my piece. She took it down her throat and tightened those jaws. She started sucking my dick like a vacuum and I had to fight against myself to not cry out like a bitch.

“Fuck,” I moaned as I watched her do her thing. She was gazing up at me while she picked up the pace. “Damn,” I bit my bottom lip.

Keirah had to be going for some kind of personal record, because she sucked my dick until I busted in her mouth. After she swallowed all my babies, she sucked me up again. I thought that she would have risen once she got me rock hard again and let me blast off in the pussy, but that didn’t happen. She didn’t stop until I came in her mouth again. It was like she was a fiend for my cream. She was blowing my mind all over again.

By the end of the night, I got off like four times. Keirah was in a zone. She had a nigga’s toes
curling. She was always a freak between the sheets, but that night she was extra. For a minute I thought that she had popped X or something.

“Damn, baby. What got into you tonight?” I asked breathlessly as she laid in my arms. She had just finished working the hell out of me.

  “You.”

  “Me?”

“Yeah. You’ve just been so good to me lately that I had to show you how much I appreciate you.”

“Yeah?” I asked as I kissed her forehead.

“Yep. And then when you brought those roses with you, that just put the icing on the cake. It feels good to know that I’m on your mind even when I’m not around.”

“Let you tell it. You’re always on my mind, baby.”

She slyly straddled me again. “You mean that?” she asked as she stroked her still semen-saturated pussy on my dick. Obviously, she still had one in her. Being the man that I am, I had to give her what she wanted. Besides, for some reason, her pussy had been extra good to me lately, so I slid inside of her. Everything else was on her. She did her thing so well that I ended up falling asleep in it. Yeah, I was going to buy flowers more often.

  Keirah

I was cruising the streets while Tameka rode shotgun. I left my car in the garage and had rolled out in Killah’s CL-Class Benz. She was acting all brand new and wanted me to drive through the hood so that she could stunt. Okay, I was in a mood to stunt too, but I let her think that it was all her idea.

Tameka had been dating some new guy that hung out in Haverstock since she had broken up with Ace. She was all crazy over the dude and had just met him, so she begged me to drive through there. I did it for her even though I didn’t understand why she would want to talk to anybody that hung out in Haverstock. I was ninety percent sure he was hollering at some chick over there. All the niggas had at least a side piece residing there.

We pulled into the complex and all eyes were on us. There were hundreds of people out hanging and the Benz sitting on twenties was a show stopper. I was bumping Beyoncé’s, “Kitty Kat.” She was singing, You know I ain’t sleeping alone. And you said that you would soon be home, but baby that was a long time ago. I’m not feeling it…

Tameka was being her extra loud ghetto self. “Ha! What you say, B? Let’s go little Kitty Kat! He don’t want no mo’!” she shouted as she danced in her seat, drawing even more attention to us.

“Damn, driver. Can I get a number?!” some loser shouted as I drove past him. Just then some bitch walked out in front of the car and I almost hit her ass.

“Damn! I know you see me!” she shouted as she stood directly in front of the car. That’s when I realized that she was Kell.

“Bitch, you lucky I didn’t run your bitch ass smooth the fuck over!” I shouted out the window.

She walked around to my window and was about to go off until she saw my face. “Oh, I didn’t know that you was driving, Keirah,” she had the nerve to smile like we were the best of friends.

“Yeah, and I didn’t know that it was you; otherwise, I would’ve ran over your ass and kept going,” I said with a straight face.

“Damn, it’s like that? Why you tripping? I heard that you with Ted’s fine ass brother now. So, I know you ain’t still tripping over that situation.”

“No, I ain’t tripping over no nigga, but I ain’t fucking with you. Now, back the fuck away from the car. I don’t want you to get any of your grime on it,” I told her before pulling off.

“Girl, who is that?” Tameka asked.

“Nobody,” I shook my head not wanting to talk about it. That girl had a lot of nerve. She’d been with my man in my bed, so what the hell did we have to talk about?

The day just kept getting crazier. I spotted Ken’s Navigator parked as I rounded the corner. He and a few other niggas were posted up shooting dice. “Bitch, look at this ugly ass nigga.”

  “Who?”

“Ken,” I said as I pulled right up next to him.

“You getting out?” Tameka asked me.

“Yep,” I hopped out of the car. By then, I had everybody’s attention. All the niggas had turned to see who had pulled up on them and hopped out of a Benz. It was cold outside, so I had on skin tight Seven jeans, a black turtle neck, Gucci thigh high boots, and a black mink vest. My wrist was adorned with black and diamond studded bangles. I was sporting my natural curls so my hair was purposely wild as it flowed down my back while I had the front pinned into a slight hump. I was always trendy and that day nobody couldn’t tell me anything. I knew that I was the shit.

“Look at what the wind just blew in,” Ken smiled as he stood up. “What’s up, Diovion?”

“Nothing. What’s up with you?” I asked.

“Same shit, different day. I see you, though. You rolling like that?” he asked, nodding at the Benz.

  “Oh, that’s a little something.”

“A little something?” Derrick interrupted. “Shit, if I didn’t know you, I’d have my pistol out robbing you right now.”

“Fuck you,” I laughed as I gave him the finger.

“Damn baby, can I roll with you?” some nigga playing in the dice game asked.

“Naw, my nigga. This me, right here,” Ken asserted, as he wrapped his arm around my neck.

“Nigga, please,” I waved him off. “You need to rephrase that. I used to be you. Now, I’m Killah, baby.”

“Killah?” some dude asked that I had never seen before.

“Yeah,” I nodded as I pulled away from Ken.

  “Is his real name Trent?”

“Yeah,” I nodded becoming a little nervous. The last thing I needed was this nigga going back and telling Trent that he seen me all over Ken.

“Man, I thought that that was the nigga’s car. I can’t believe that nigga let you loose in it.”

“And why is that?” I asked with a raised brow.

“I’m just saying. That’s a brand new Mercedes. And we ain’t talking bout no C-Class either. Niggas ain’t riding in shit like that. So that says a lot that he let you drive.”

I rolled my eyes. “I guess. It really ain’t that serious. I got my own car, but I decided to drive his today.”

“What you driving?” Derrick asked as he pursed his lips thinking that I was about to say a Honda or something. I didn’t even answer him, but waved my keys.

“Oh, shit. I see a BMW key,” Ken snatched my keys out of my hand.

“You sure do, now give me my shit,” I snatched my keys back.

“Damn, I ain’t know you was doing it like that. Let me hold something,” he teased.

“If I do, you better not spend it,” I laughed as I hopped back into the car.

  “Oh, it’s like that now?”

“Yep. I holla,” I rolled my eyes, as I backed away from them.

“Bitch, look at the look on Ken’s face. I bet you he feels stupid. All his niggas see how he fucked up the best thing he ever had,” Tameka giggled.

“Shit, you ain’t know?” I nodded. Deep down, I was beaming. The feeling of being able to show up your ex is indescribable.

I drove around the corner while she got out and talked to her new boo. I was jamming Big Moe and Lil’ O, “I’ll do It.” Lil O was rapping, That’s why I’m glad to buy you things. Like diamond rings. Take you to the mall get you designer jeans. Expose your whole world to the finer things. I put you in a drop Benz. Sticky lime green…I must say that the song was quite fitting. As I nodded my head to the beat, my cell rang.

“Hello,” I answered my phone as I lowered the music.

“What’s up, baby?” Trent asked, bringing a smile to my face.

  “Thinking about you.”

“Let you tell it,” he laughed. “Well, I was calling cause I wanted to know what you cooking tonight.”

“I don’t know. What do you want to eat?”

“I’m not sure. I think I want some more of those shrimp you made the other day.”

“You talking about that shrimp stew?”
<
br />   “Hell, yeah. That shit was good.”

“Okay. I’ll see what I can do. Give me about two hours.”

“Two hours? Why so long?” he wanted to know.

“Cause I still have to drop off my friend.”

  “Who is your friend?”

  “Tameka.”

“Oh. Where you at right now?”

  “Umm…”

“Umm, what?” he cut me off.

  “Haverstock.”

“You in Haverstock? Is that what you just said?”

“Yeah,” I sighed and then waited for him to say something. There was dead air. “Hello?”

  “Yeah, I’m here.”

  “Why did you get quiet?”

“Cause, I’m trying to figure out why the fuck would you be in Haverstock. You in my car, right?” he went in.

  “Yeah.”

“Why would you go over there in a $120,000 Benz? Better yet, why would you go over there period? You must want to become a target.”

  “A target?”

“Yeah. Don’t you know that niggas be itching to take a nigga for something and you riding around like you’re untouchable.”

“Well, it’s cool. I know a lot of people over here.”

“What the fuck does that mean? Your people can stop bullets?”

  “No, but…”

“But nothing, man. You just stay right where you at. I’ll be there in about ten minutes.”

“That’s uncalled for, Trent. I can just leave…”

  “What did I just say?”

  “Stay right here.”

  “That’s what I thought.”

Less than seven minutes later, Trent was there. He pulled up directly behind me and got out the car. Tameka was still standing talking to her little friend. Trent walked up to my window and knelt down so that we were eye to eye.

“Hard Head, you know the nigga your girl hollering at?” he asked me.

“No. She just met him herself.”

“Well the nigga supposed to have that shit. Your girl fucked him yet?”

“Actually, she told me that they haven’t done anything yet.”

“Well, lucky her. Tell her to come on. I’m ready to go,” he demanded, as he walked back to his CTS-V Coupe Cadillac.
