They sat for a while longer in the parking lot.
Thorn saw one of the slats of the blinds move. “Julie. That’s a good name.”
“It is,” said Sheffield. “And she’s a cute kid. Got a patch of Leslie’s hair. And those amazing eyes.”
“Okay, then. I’m ready. Let’s go meet her.”
