Remember that day? That was something.
Oh, yeah. Those were the days of flowing champagne, scotch, and lobster! I’m lucky I got to be a part of the tail end of the glory days. I also remember vividly the day you finally won your Best Actress Emmy. I believe I was the first to congratulate you in the pressroom before quipping, “Now we can all move on with our lives!”
[Laughs] I remember! I will always love you for that, Nellie. You just so get it. [That whole night] was totally amazing — even though you gave me hell for submitting myself in the wrong category!
And you did! [Laughs]
I truly felt I deserved a couple of Emmys before I got this one. But thank God it happened.
Were you impressed with the DAYTIME EMMY AWARDS this year on HLN?
No, were you?
No! Well, it was better than the Las Vegas ones.
