  substanceabusetreatmentsettings.Asherinterestsgrew,BethattendedColumbia

  UniversityinNewYorkCity,fromwhichshereceivedherBSandMSinnursing,

  andisacertifiedpediatricnursepractitioner.Bethisamemberofseveralprofes-

  sionalorganizationsandiscurrentlyworkingwithchildreninamedicalsetting.

  DepartmentofSciencesattheJohnJayCollegeofCriminalJustice.Dr.Zedeck

  haspublishedresearcharticles,bookchapters,andreviewarticles;editeda

  book;andisamemberofseveralprofessionalsocieties.Hewaspresidentofthe

  ZedeckAdvisoryGroup,Inc.,NewYork,andservedasconsultanttoattorneys

  and as an expert witness in pharmacology and toxicology. Dr. Zedeck has

  testified in more than 170 criminal and civil trials involving murder, rape, effectsofalcoholandotherdrugsondriving,testingofcontrolledsubstances,

  medicalmalpractice,personalinjury,andtoxictorts.
