Meanwhile, Sarah and her comrades run into trouble themselves. They have an unwelcomed visitor approaching them. Sarah orders one of her snipers to aim at the creature and pull the trigger once they get a clear shot. Everyone else continues to look at the fortress with their snipers. The sniper shoots three times at the creature and kills it. It was the same kind of creature that approached the fortress the first time. They are curious to know how many are around here and how many will be in their sight. Fortunately, they do not run into any more creatures for a very long time.

Raider and his comrades make it to the nursery doorway without any more interruptions or problems. Before they go down into the nursery, Raider heads down to see how everything is looking. If everything looks safe for everyone to go down there, they will all go down there and investigate. Raider heads down into the nursery very slowly and quietly. He doesn’t see anything down here that will threaten them, other than the sleeping young. Raider goes back up the stairs and orders his comrades to come down here.

Raider and his comrades are investigating the nursery. If anyone has any questions about something, they need to talk to Raider about it. Of course, Raider gets asked a lot of questions about what goes on in this particular room. For example, Jacoby asks Raider, “Are these young vampire and demon babies hanging from the ceiling? Also, why are the eggs either green and black or red, purple and blue?” Raider replies, “Vampire eggs are the ones hanging from the ceiling. The red, purple and blue eggs are either fully daemonic or mostly daemonic eggs. The green and black eggs are either fully vampire or mostly vampire eggs.” Raider is searching the nursery alongside his comrades, but he finds something very interesting that he would never think about seeing inside of this place. He finds a steel door with a claw-print lock on it. He tries to unlock it with his claws, but he is rejected. This must be a very special room to his father if it is locked so tightly. He has never seen anything locked down quite like this. He writes it down and continues searching for more interesting things.

As they are about to leave the nursery, they hear something walking down the stairs. Everyone hides from them, but keeps a close eye on them. Raider and Jacoby are hiding next to each other behind some eggs. They hope none of the eggs hatch as all of them are hiding behind them. Raider’s eyes light up as he sees the thing walking down the stairs. It is Raider’s sister, Cora, with her mother. Cora’s mother is different from Raider’s biological mother. However, his other sisters share the same mother. Cora and her mother are walking down the stairs and have no clue there are intruders in the fortress. Jacoby whispers to Raider, “What do you want to do, should we attack them?” Raider replies, “No, we wouldn’t stand a chance. Now, be very quiet.” Jacoby doesn’t say a word until he is allowed to speak.

Cora and her mother are having a discussion. Cora is old enough to have children of her own. In fact, they plan on planting her fertile eggs right now. Cora got married a couple of days after Raider left them. Now they are ready to have children of their own. Cora and her mother walk into an open area where she will be planting her eggs. They come very close to spotting Raider’s comrades, but luckily they do not get spotted. She plants her eggs on the floor by pulling them out of her throat, which are coming from her belly. It is not a very pretty sight, especially for the humans. Raider’s comrades, that are witnessing this event, all close their eyes to avoid making any kind of sickening noise. Fortunately, everyone is able to remain silent and out of sight. After Cora is done planting her eggs, they both head back upstairs and into the dining room. It is time for everyone to eat.

Once Cora and her mother are gone, Raider and his comrades get ready to leave the nursery. However, they must wait a couple of minutes to avoid being spotted. They must wait at least 15 minutes if they want to leave and escape here safely. As they are waiting, Jacoby takes a look at Cora’s eggs. He asks Raider, “Should I kill them?” Raider hesitates before replying, “No, I don’t want them to know anyone was in here or intruding. Do not destroy those eggs.” Jacoby walks away from eggs and gets ready to leave with everyone else. After the 15 minutes are up, they leave the nursery and head out for the exit. They will be exiting the fortress and castle the same way they came in. They are all wondering how Sarah and her comrades are doing. They all cannot wait to regroup with them.

Raider and his comrades make it safely back to the room they entered and plan on escaping the same way. This time, Jacoby will be the first one to enter these tunnels. Raider will be the very last person to enter these tunnels. They begin to descend into the tunnels and have a clean getaway. Unfortunately, only a few of his comrades are able to get into the tunnels without any problems. A small group of guards walk down the stairs and immediately alarms the fortress. All of the alarms inside of the fortress go off. The guards attack Raider and the rest of his comrades. Like Raider predicted, this whole entire mission turns completely around and becomes a massacre. Six of Raider’s comrades die in this room alone. Unfortunately, Raider is the only survivor out of the people that didn’t make it into the tunnels. The people who got into the tunnels before the guards showed up are the other survivors of this mission. Jacoby will be disappointed and sad to know they have lost six people in just one moment. All six-people died in a very vicious and gruesome way. Their bodies got shredded and ripped apart. Every person got shredded and ripped apart in a different way, but they all got eaten alive. It was like they were ambushed by a group of lions.

Raider and the remaining of his comrades get out of the tunnels safely. Raider explains what happened to Jacoby and everyone else. They are all sad to hear how many people died, but this was expected. Anyone can die at any moment. In honor of their death, they all chant, “Never say die, never say die, never say die!!!” After they are done chanting, they regroup with Sarah’s squadron. As they are heading back to Sarah’s squadron, they see a large group of creatures heading their way. It is the same creatures Sarah and her squadron have been seeing. Raider knows exactly what these creatures are. Raider orders everyone to run in formation. They all run towards Sarah and her squadron. They do not know what these creatures are, but they do not plan on figuring out their capabilities.

Eventually, Raider and his remaining comrades do end up successfully regrouping with Sarah’s squadron. Luckily, they did not run into those vicious creatures along the way. Raider immediately asks Sarah, “Have you seen bear like creatures with horns on them?” Sarah replies, “Yeah, we took a couple of them out earlier. Why, did something happen?” Raider replies, “Not with those creatures, but inside of the fortress. Six of our men died while we were escaping. I told you this was a very bad idea. We got lucky there wasn’t any more people killed during this mission. Now, let’s head back home and give the General the information we retrieved from this mission.” They are now making their way back home.

Meanwhile, Synx’s guards arrive at the dinner table to tell him about the intruders inside of the fortress and how one of them was Raider. The guards are covered from head to toe in human blood, this makes Synx smile. He marches over in front of the guards and asks, “Did you or did you not kill my son?” A guard replies, “No, but we managed to kill six of his men. I don’t believe this is going to be the last time we are going to see him.” Synx replies, “Good, six of his men are dead. Next time, make sure he is dead or bring him to me. Now get out of here.” The guards leave the dining room. Synx continues to eat his dinner.

After Synx is done eating his food, he goes downstairs into the room with the mysterious door. He checks the area to make sure nobody is around him. After the area is cleared, he opens up the door and heads into his secret room. He quickly makes sure the door locks behind him. Synx has been working on a secret live weapon. It is getting very close to being ready. It is a very massive demon with special abilities. This is going to be his most powerful and largest weapon he has to use again the World Army. He walks up to the tube and says, “You are going to help me bring an end to this war and humanity. There is no
thing on this earth that can stop you or kill you. Let’s see my son try to escape from you. Humans will be terrified just by looking at you. Once you are ready tomorrow night, we are going to bring an end to the human race.” Synx runs a couple of tests to see the medical condition of his secret weapon. Nobody knows about this weapon, not even his wives or children. He will reveal and test out this weapon before sending it out for combat.

  Chapter 9

  Synx’s Special Weapon

Synx checks up on his special and hidden weapon before heading up for dinner. He runs a couple of test to see if it is 100% complete. As of right now, the weapon is at 99% complete. The weapon should be ready for combat after he is done eating dinner with his family. For dinner, they will be eating members of Raider’s squadron that were killed inside of the castle. Before heading out for dinner, Synx says to his special weapon, “Unlike my son, you will never betray me and listen to every word that comes out of my mouth. Once you are complete, I will welcome you into my family and introduce you to my daughters and wives. When it comes to killing my son, nobody can seem to get the job done. However, he cannot run away from you. Killing my son will be a major mission for you. Of course, your main mission is to eliminate humanity forever. Humanity will be under my control and ceased to exist.” Synx heads upstairs for dinner.

Meanwhile, Raider and Sarah’s squadrons are marching through the desert and making their way back home. They still have a long way to go and a lot of trouble along the way. As they are walking through the desert, they run into a pack of the mysterious creatures that only Raider knows what they are. These creatures look like bears, but have horns on them and a very long tail. They were spotting them throughout this mission, it was only a matter of time before they would run into them. Raider explains, “These creatures are called rubbindins. Rubbindins are extremely dangerous creatures. They are the most dangerous creatures you will ever run into inside of this desert. They show no mercy when it comes to killing and hunting their prey. Get ready for a nightmarish battle.” Everyone readies their guns and weapons. Raider even pulls out his swords for combat, because he knows he would never stand a chance against multiple rubbindins.

The 20 rubbindins circle around both Sarah and Raider’s squadrons. Raider orders everyone, “Whatever you do, do not attack them first. Allow them to attack you first, but do not attempt to stab them in the face. They have incredibly strong skin on their face that works as armor.” Before Raider can say anything else, he is attacked by one of these creatures. The creature tackles Raider and mounts on top of him. He tries to bite Raider’s face, but he is able to stick his sword inside of the creature’s mouth sideways. The creature puts all of his weight onto Raider’s sword in attempt to break it. Raider is holding on for dear life. Everyone can tell he is in trouble, so Sarah aims her sniper at the creature. Raider orders Sarah, “Do not worry about me, worrying about the others.” Sarah does not wish to look away from the creature mounted on top of Raider, but has faith he will be able to get out of this on his own. As Sarah points her gun away from the creature mounted on top of Raider, she is attacked by a creature herself. Luckily, she is able to kill the creature by shooting at its chest and mouth rapidly as it charges after her with its mouth wide open. Two bullets shoot into the creature’s mouth and two bullets shoot into the creature’s chest. The creature drops dead and lands in front of her feet. The rest of the pack ends up charging after everyone. Raider is able to push the rubbindin off of him and rapidly stab it in the chest. It takes multiple stabs to the chest to break it open, because its skin is so tough. After he kills the creature, another one charges after him.

Raider and Sarah’s squadrons are not doing so well in this battle against the rubbindins. They lose a total of six men and women. They are now left with only two other people on their squadrons, not including Raider and Sarah. Fortunately, they are able to kill off most of the rubbindins before the remaining four retreat. The remaining members of Raider and Sarah’s squadrons are all severely injured and need medical attention. Raider would be able to heal everyone no problem, but he doesn’t have enough energy to do it. However, he is going to heal them to the best of his ability at the moment. He orders everyone, “Remove your chest pieces and take a deep breath before I bite into you.” Everyone follows his orders. Raider explains to everyone before biting into them, “At first, you are going to feel a lot of pain, but the pain will slowly go away. I am not going to heal you completely, but I am going to heal you enough for you to move on.” Everyone, including Raider and Sarah, all have huge chunks of flesh missing from their bodies. Raider does not heal himself first. Instead, he heals everyone else before healing himself as much as he can. Like everyone else, he does not heal himself completely. However, his wounds will heal completely before they make it to the forest. After he is done healing everyone to the best of his abilities, including himself, they all carefully make their way through the remaining parts of the desert. They still have a long way to go.

Meanwhile, Synx and his family members are patiently waiting for dinner to be served. Synx will explain his special weapon to his family once dinner has arrived at the dinner table. He cannot wait for it to be complete and bring it into battle. Synx announces to his family, “I have been keeping something a secret inside this castle, but I will explain everything once dinner has arrived. You don’t need to worry; it is something that will help us win this war and kill my rogue son.” His family can tell he is up to no good by the evil look on his face. They cannot wait to hear what he has to say and has planned next for this war.

Finally, their meal arrives at the dinner table. They all prepare their own plates. As everyone is preparing their plates for dinner, Synx explains, “For some time now, I have been preparing a secret and special weapon behind a highly secured door. Only I can get through this door. I specially made this door to hide my biggest secret, but now I am ready to reveal it to the world and my family. After we are done eating, we will all pay a special visit to my creation.” Synx and his family enjoy eating their food before heading into Synx’s special room. They all inhale their food, because they all cannot wait to see this special weapon.

Raider and Sarah’s squadrons hurry out of the desert as fast as they can to avoid running into any more trouble inside of this unforgiving environment. After all, there is only a total of six of them left. They want to avoid running into any more problems and issues and arrive home as quickly as possible. They are praying to God that they do not have to run into any terosunis as they walk through the swamp and forest. However, they are not fully concerned about the forest and swamp just yet. They are more concerned about surviving through this desert. Fortunately, the swamp and forest is in sight. They all smile once they see the forest and swamp, because this means they are almost home and survived the harshest environment of this mission. However, they do run into more trouble before heading into the swamp and forest. They run into a sandstorm.

Sarah catches something off into the distance. She orders everyone, “Stop, we have a storm approaching!” She pulls out her sniper to see what kind of storm it is. She is glad to see it is just a sandstorm and not another ash storm. Sarah explains to everyone, “Do not be afraid, because it is just a sandstorm and not an ash storm. This may be a very deadly storm, but it is not nearly as dangerous as other storms that we could run into. Now, let’s run towards the storm and get ready for it.” Raider and Sarah’s squadrons run towards the sandstorm and prepare themselves for its arrival. Once the sandstorm gets close to them, they all lie down face first into the sand while holding each other’s hands. Of course, Raider and Sarah will be holding each other’s hands throughout the whole entire sandstorm.

The storm has approached them and they are all concerned not only for their safety, but the safety of their fellow comrades. The chances of them returning home alive are very slim, because there isn’t many of them left. They need to have as much people alive as possible if they are going to return home safely. Luckily, th
ey are all able to survive the sandstorm without having any more deaths. However, they all have endured great pain and injuries from the storm. For example, Jacoby had a giant piece of rock penetrate through his right calf armor and into his flesh. Raider is not able to heal any injuries, because he doesn’t have enough energy to do it again. They do not just leave the rock stuck inside of his leg, they pull it out and clean the wound. He will need to see a doctor, much like everyone else, to make sure the wound heals properly and doesn’t become infected. After the sandstorm, they check to see if everyone is doing okay and makes sure nobody has fatal injuries. Fortunately, nobody has severe injuries and they are all able to continue on.

Raider and Sarah’s squadrons are able to make it to the swamp without any more problems or interruptions. However, they do run into the same problem they had before inside of the swamp. In order for them to make it through the swamp, they must cross a muggy, dense and thick running river. They will each cross the river one at a time. Raider and Sarah will be the first ones to cross this dangerous river. Raider will be going first. He takes his time crossing the river, because he knows just how dangerous it can be if he rushes through it. Fortunately, he is able to make it across the river without any problems or issues. Now, it is Sarah’s turn to cross the river.
