Sarah’s not as lucky as Raider when it comes to crossing this river. She ends up falling into the river at the very end of her crossing it. But fortunately, Raider was able to grab her hand and pull her out of the water. Sarah is muddy from her shoulders and down to her feet. This is not completely a bad thing, because now she can camouflage herself from many creatures that have a strong sense of smell, such as the terosuni. Fortunately, everyone else is able to make it across this river without any problems. Now, they must carefully and quietly walk through the swamp and into the forest.
Meanwhile, Synx is ready to reveal his secret weapon to his family. He has them under oath to not tell anybody about this. If he finds out somebody outside of the family knows about this weapon without Synx’s permission, he will have them executed. He will be the one executing them. But luckily, his family has no intentions of betraying him. They are all curious and excited to see this very powerful weapon Synx has been keeping secret this whole entire time. Synx runs an analysis to see if his creation is 100% ready. Fortunately, the analysis comes back positive. His creation is now awake. Synx’s creation wakes up and looks at everyone with intensity in its eyes.
Synx drains the liquid inside of the tube that is containing his secret weapon. His whole entire family is speechless, because they are all excited to see what it can do and what it can do for them. Synx says, “This is my greatest weapon of mass destruction and my greatest line of defense. Gronder will always be by my side to protect me and fight alongside me. Welcome to the family.” Gronder breaks the glass and steps in front of everyone. Synx says to Gronder, “Do not be alarmed, these are my family members. You will not only protect me, but you will also protect them. Now, we are going to see just exactly what you can do.” Synx has also created a hidden training area specifically designed for his special weapon. Everyone will be heading into this area to not only train it, but also see how well it does in combat.
After Raider and Sarah’s squadrons have successfully made it across the river, they begin to walk through the swamp and hopefully make it into the forest. As they are marching through the swamp, they hear something swimming in the water. Everyone stops to listen for the creature and look for the creature. Unfortunately, no one is able to spot the creature right away. They slowly keep moving forward, but still listen and look out for the creature. Eventually Jacoby sees water splashing not too far from his location. Jacoby announces, “There is something swimming over here in the water.” He points his gun at this location. Sarah orders everyone else, “Do not point all of your weapons in this area. Leave it up to me and Jacoby, but do not put your guard down.” Jacoby and Sarah take a couple steps out of formation and aim their guns at the location of where the creature with spotted.
Sarah ends up stepping on a twig inside of the swamp water. The creature gets startled and splashes the water. It appears the creature is some kind of fish, because of its tail. They do not bother shooting at the creature, because they do not have a clear shot at it. They continue to patiently wait for the creature to reveal itself. Jacoby and Sarah have been aiming their guns in this location for a couple of minutes without any more activity, they are not convinced the creature is gone. So, they will continue looking for the creature for a couple more minutes before heading back into formation.
Moments later, a member of Raider’s squadron spots the creature and shoots at it. He hits the creature, but does not end up killing it. He says to Jacoby and Sarah, “The creature is over here. I was able to shoot the creature, but I don’t believe it is dead.” Jacoby and Sarah head to the location where the creature was shot. The creature was shot in its tail. They can also see where the creature has headed after it was shot, because of the blood in the water. Jacoby and Sarah aim their guns in that direction and open fire at the water.
Jacoby and Sarah stop firing after they realize the creature is no longer here. They did not end up killing this creature. However, the creature is still around them. Jacoby and Sarah get back into formation. As they head back into formation, a member of Sarah’s squadron gets bitten on her right ankle. She screams in agonizing pain, because the creature took a huge chunk out of her ankle. There is a large amount of blood in the water from this attack. She ends up shooting rapidly around her and ends up killing the creature. Raider tells everyone as the body comes up, “This creature is called a devil-swamp piranha. They like to hunt in groups, so we must be very careful. I am sure there is plenty around here. Let’s get out of here as fast as possible.” Raider and Sarah’s squadrons end up running through the swamp and head over to the waterfall.
As they are running towards the waterfall, the person that got bit by the piranha ends up getting bit again in the same ankle. Her name is Alexis. Alexis ends up falling into the water and gets eaten by a large group of these piranhas. They leave nothing left of her body besides the bones. They consumed her whole entire body in just a number of seconds. There was no chance of ever saving her. Raider and Sarah are disappointed about losing another member, because this is going to make the trip much harder.
The remaining members of Raider and Sarah’s squadrons safely make it to the waterfall and get ready to descend it. Raider and Jacoby are the first ones to descend the waterfall. Sarah will be the last one to descend the waterfall. As Raider and Jacoby reach the bottom of the waterfall, they notice the dead body of Melanie. She was the member that fell off of the waterfall and died from the rocks. They are all surprised to see the dead body still here, because they thought she would have been eaten by now. However, they do not let this distract them. Getting home safely and without any more deaths is their top priority.
Fortunately, everyone is able to make it down the waterfall without any problems or issues. Once everyone has safely made it down the waterfall, they get into formation and walk-through the forest. They are all afraid of the forest, because of the terosuni. But if they want to make it home, they must walk through this forest with extreme precautions. Unlike the last time, they will not split up into groups. There are not enough members left to split into groups. They will walk through this forest together and hopefully will all make it home.
This journey has taken longer than anticipated. They all should have been home by now, but they ran into a lot of bad luck along the way. It is getting very close to being dark outside, so they have no choice but to set up base camp inside of this forest. Nobody wishes to set up base camp side of this forest, because it is a very dangerous place. This forest was considered not so dangerous until they discovered the terosuni. Sarah will report this newly found creature to the General once they get home.
Raider and Sarah’s squadrons are able to set up base camp without any interruptions from any creatures inside of this forest. They do not make a large campfire, because they do not want predators to know humans are inside of here. The last thing they need is another creature to spot them and attack them. After they are done eating their food, they all go to sleep inside of their tents. Of course, Raider and Sarah will be sharing a tent with each other.
Everyone is able to survive the night inside of the forest and wake up in the morning unharmed or injured. They all quickly pack up base camp before making it through remaining time they have left to get home. They will be arriving home in just a couple of hours. Of course, they will run into some more trouble on their way home. After they are done packing up base camp and get into formation with their weapons ready, they hear something moving inside of the treetops. They do not spot the creature, so they all assume it is the terosuni. It is indeed the terosuni, but there is two of them.
The terosunis are gliding and jumping around inside of the treetops while carefully keeping a close eye on everyone and everything on the ground. Sarah orders everyone, “It seems as if there is more than one terosuni here, by just judging by the trees. Jacoby and I will be making sure the ground is secure. Everyone else, fire at any sign of movement inside of the treetops.” Everyone stands back to back of each other, making sure every area is s
ecured and making it very difficult for a predator to kill them.
The terosunis are flying all over the place inside of the treetops, making it very difficult for anybody to get a clear shot at them. Sarah and Raider’s squadrons open fire at the treetops. They are able to wound one of the creatures, but they do not do nearly enough damage. A huge chunk of blood does splatter onto Raider’s head and face. Nobody is able to see the creatures, even though one of them is wounded. However, Raider is able to spot the wounded terosuni and attacks the creature. He climbs 10 feet up the tree at high speed and leaps into the air. Raider is able to stick both of his claws into the creature and drag him down to the ground. Raider and the terosuni begin to battle on the ground. Sarah orders everyone, “Keep your eyes peeled for the other terosuni. Raider, Jacoby and I will take care of this one.” Jacoby and Sarah point their guns at the creature, but never get the chance of firing their guns.
Raider is able to take care of the creature all on his own. He digs his claws even deeper into the terosuni’s flesh. The creature screams in agonizing pain as Raider pulled a huge chunk of flesh away from its body and eats it. The terosuni begins to poor out blood out of the wound and quickly begins to bleed to death, but he does not allow the creature to bleed to death. The terosuni tries to hit Raider with its left wing, but Raider blocks it and ends up separating its wing from its body with a horrible crushing sound. Raider climbs over to the face of the terosuni with his claws digging into its flesh on his way up there. Once he arrives at the creature’s face, the creature bites into Raider’s right shoulder and takes a huge chunk out of it. Raider screams not lonely out of pain, but out of rage. Raider screams at the creature as he pries open its mouth as wide as he can before the jaw and skull separates from the creature. The terosuni is now dead. They have only one more to kill now. However, the friend of the terosuni that was killed decides to retreat from the sight of his dear friend being murdered by Raider. He feels it doesn’t have a chance against him and retreats.
Raider and Sarah’s squadrons stay in this location to confirm if the creature is still here or not. Once they have confirmed the creature is no longer in sight, they begin to continue making their way back home. Raider begins to heal all of his wounds as they are making their way back home. He is currently covered in blood from the terosuni that he killed. He doesn’t bother wiping it off, because he can use it as a camouflage. There is not one part of his body that isn’t covered in blood. Luckily, the blood from the creature does not smell horrible, compared to most creatures in this world. However, it still has a horrible stink to it.
Hours later, Raider and Sarah’s remaining members of their squadrons finally make it back home safely. They have never been so happy to be home before in their lives. Everyone is able to go home to their families or do whatever they please. But before they are able to go home or do whatever they want, Raider heals all of their wounds completely. They all hug Raider and thank him for helping them out during this almost impossible mission. Without him, the mission would be a complete failure and nobody would have made it home alive. Raider, Jacoby and Sarah are not free to go home or do whatever they like just yet, they must report back to the General with all of the information they gathered during this mission. The General will not be happy to hear how many people died during this mission, but will be happy to know this mission was done successfully.
After Raider, Jacoby and Sarah are done reporting information of this mission to the General, Jacoby will be heading home to his daughters and wife. Raider and Sarah will be spending the remainder of the day with all of their roommates. They cannot wait to reunite with all of them. Raider is especially excited to take a shower and get rid of all of the stinky blood that is covering his body.
Raider and Sarah arrive at their home and cannot wait to reunite with everyone. The twins are the only ones inside of the house, for now anyway. Chelsea and Scarlet are excited and glad to see them arrive home safely. However, they are repulsed by Raider’s current smell. Raider immediately rushes upstairs and into his shower. Scarlet is happy to know they are both okay, but she is extremely happy to see Raider. She feels as if this is the perfect opportunity for her to confess her true feelings for Raider. However, she will not be telling him her true feelings towards him until everyone in the household is here. Haley is out having lunch with her boyfriend. Abigail is out looking for a silver necklace to wear for herself. They both should be arriving home shortly. As soon as everyone arrives home, Scarlet will reveal her secret to everyone.
Synx is training with Gronder inside of the hidden training arena with his family watching them. Gronder is not quite as powerful as his creator right now, but they all can tell he is getting stronger by the second. After hours of training with Gronder, Synx finally gets destroyed in a battle. Synx is covered in blood and begins to laugh. Synx says out of joy, “My creation is now the perfect weapon and will eliminate humanity forever.” Synx spits blood to the side before saying, “My son cannot run from my newly found creation and my new son, Gronder.” Synx grins and chuckles before saying, “Rest, my son. Tomorrow, humanity will end and a new world order will rise.” Synx laughs as evil and as loud as possible.
Chapter 10
Uninvited Guest
Raider is done taking a shower and is heading back downstairs. As he arrives in the living room, Haley and Abigail walk into the house. They both scream out of excitement and rush over to hug Sarah and Raider. Haley says to Sarah and Raider, “You two had me very worried. Heading over to enemy territory is a very dangerous task.” Abigail asks, “Are you two all right, how did everything go?” Sarah replies, “Most of our comrades died during this mission. It was a complete massacre, but we somehow manage to get everything done and it is all thanks to Raider. Without him, this mission may have failed.” Raider replies, “I told you this mission was very dangerous and this should not have happened. My father is probably planning on attacking us, again. I’m sure he knows we were in there.” Raider walks into the kitchen to get something to eat.
Chelsea nudges Scarlet with her elbow to get her attention. Scarlet looks at Chelsea. Chelsea says to Scarlet, “Go talk to Raider about how you feel about him. I’ll make sure you two are in the kitchen alone.” Scarlet walks into the kitchen to confess her true feelings towards Raider. She is very nervous to be doing this on her own. This is not normal, because she is normally very confident in these kinds of situations.
Scarlet walks into the kitchen and begins to talk to Raider. Raider is looking in the fridge for something to eat. Scarlet says to Raider, “So, I have something to tell you. To be honest, I am very nervous to tell you.” Raider replies, “You can tell me anything, I will not tell anybody or judge you for it. So, what is it that you want to tell me?” Scarlet confesses, “I really like you, more than a friend. I know you are not into the human species on this level, but it is what it is. That is all I have to say.” Scarlet looks at Raider to see his reaction. She is very nervous to hear what he has to say. Raider pulls out an apple and takes a bite before responding. Raider replies, “You are right, I am not into the human species in that kind of way. However, I am willing to give it a shot.” He takes another bite into his apple. Scarlet replies, “Can you please not tell anybody about this? I want to keep it a secret, for now anyway.” Raider replies, “No problem, we will tell everybody when you are ready.” Raider and Scarlet walk back into the living room.
Chelsea and Scarlet regroup with each other inside of the living room. Chelsea asks, “So, how did it go?” Scarlet replies, “He said yes, in a weird kind of way. I will explain it later. Please do not tell anyone else in the household, we promised to keep it a secret.” Chelsea replies, “Don’t worry, your secret is safe with me.” Chelsea is curious to know how long they are going to keep it a secret and what everyone else’s reactions will be when they find out about this.
Moments later, Sarah and her friends are all going out to a club. This is making Raider and Scarlet very uncomfortable, because they
both know men are going to be hitting on Scarlet. Raider will have no choice but to defend her. They want to keep their relationship a secret, because they do not know how long this relationship will last. They will tell everyone after their third date, if they make it that far. They are both unsure if their relationship will even make it past the first date, because Raider has never been in a relationship. He especially has never been in a relationship with a human.
They all arrive at the club. Raider and Scarlet do not stay together, but keep a close eye on each other. Haley and Chelsea hang out with each other on the dance floor. They will be dancing with each other the whole time they are in here. They will not be in the club for too long, because they have more stuff to do later on. Abigail and Sarah will be spending time with each other at the bar. They will be making sure Scarlet and Chelsea do not get overly drunk.
Three hours later, they all leave the club. They all had a good time inside of the club. Luckily, there were not a lot of people inside of there to flirt with Scarlet. Now, they are all heading back home for lunch. After they are all done eating lunch, they are all going their separate ways. Raider and Sarah will be combat training with each other and getting ready for another mission. Haley will be hanging out with Chelsea at the mall. Abigail and Scarlet will be spending some time with each other at the pool.
