Alpha's Awakening

“I knew you were special,” I say, ready for some more.
I lay back as he slowly moves on top of me. His hand rubs my cock, very steadily. “Do you know what this means?” he asks.
I shrug. “I figure it means that you need me inside of you, right this instant.”
He smiles. “Well, yeah, it kind of does. But it also means that I’m changing. I can feel it. I’m growing more and more connected to you, Logan. Our souls are fusing together.”
I beckon him forward with my index finger. “Come ride me, chosen omega,” I say.
His grin widens and he nods his head, fervently. Scooting on my lap, he plants both knees around me. I let him grab my shaft and rub it against his slick. I let out a wild roar when I feel his rim tighten around my cock. Jackson quickly covers my mouth and lets out a loud moan himself.
“Fuck. We should be quiet,” he says, placing a wet finger to my lips. I lick around it and bite down gently.
When I feel his warm goodness touch down to my balls, I know that I’m in deep. His own cock rests against my pelvis and abs, balls tight and firm. Slowly, he gyrates upward, purring wildly. I place my hands against his shoulders and push him back down.
I get a strong urge to bite the side of his chest and bond to him right away, but I manage to fight it off. As he rocks his hips back and forth, I feel my glands growing inside of him. “Jackson,” I moan.
He pushes back up, getting caught on my knot. “Jackson!” I say it louder this time. “I can’t stop myself. You need to pull back up!”
“Shh,” he says again.
A strong sense of urgency comes into me. “Fuck, I’m going to spill my seed inside your wet hole,” I moan.
The purring that resonates through his body is way too much for a bear like me to handle right now. That damn evolutionary tactic has got me losing myself way too fast. Jackson simply grins and licks the sharp angles of his teeth, taunting me even more.
I get that urge again and this time, there is no holding back. I feel it come in waves, pouring out of me like pure energy. Ropes of cum shoot with force inside of him, spilling out and down my shaft. I quickly bite the side of his chest. He does the same.
In this moment of ecstasy, I can barely make out what is reality and what isn’t. For what feels like ages, I am trapped in pure pleasure, satisfaction, and jaw-dropping orgasms.
With a glazed look in his eye, Jackson’s cock begins rocking up and down like a buoy. His head seems to thicken and his balls turn rock solid. His cum shoots into the air, landing directly onto my mouth and around my chin. I hungrily lick off the sweet, sticky globs.
The blue lights on his body seem to glow even brighter now. A rumbling fills the room. A tearing noise resounds loudly. I have no idea what’s going on. This isn’t in any of the porn I’ve seen. Is this what bonding is like?
As we are knotted together, my only solution is to wrap my arms around Jackson in a big bear hug to protect him. Within a millisecond, we are transported into another realm. It’s just like my dream. This time, however, Jackson is with me.
He is walking slowly toward the void. The same phoenix that had flown into the comet is perched, right at the edge of the doorway. Jackson points and smiles. Then, he waves before jumping inside.
“Jackson!” I scream. Quickly, I run toward the door, despite knowing that I shouldn’t. I jump inside and feel consumed.
I wake up to Jackson’s anxious kisses. “Did you…” I begin stuttering.
“I could see it!” he exclaims. “Your dream, baby!”
“Baby?” I have to let out a snorty laugh because I have never heard him call me baby before.
He blushes a deep shade of red and excitedly kisses my chest. “Whatever. What’s important is that I saw it. Something is happening between us, Logan.”
“I think my dream is starting to change. Like, that felt really different, compared to the usual. Maybe we should ask your dads about it,” I say.
“No.” Jackson is very against the idea. “My papa is already wary that something big is coming. What if we go back to your camp? You should see your father, anyway.”
I gulp down, knowing that he’s right, but I also don’t know if I can see my father right now. Still, I find myself nodding. “Alright. Yeah, maybe you’re right.”
“I am. But right now, we should get some rest. I have you tied to me all night. Plus, if I know anything about my bear, it’s that he’ll need to get his beauty sleep.” When I look over, he’s already sleeping like a baby.
Chapter 6
Logan
“You dimwit! You mustn’t jump into the void like that! It’s much too dangerous. Much too dangerous, I say!”
I open my eyes to the horrible, throaty sound of what seems to be coming from a toad-man standing next to an old desk. I squint and comb through the foggy ether to touch him, just to make sure he’s even real. The disdain on his face should have told me enough.
The toad-man jumps back in extreme alarm. His glasses fly off his face, but he catches them with his tongue. “Do not touch me! What do I look like to you, a plaything? No, no, no. We have rules around here, boy. I do think you should read up on them. But don’t trouble yourself this moment. If it has taken you this long, it’ll surely take another millennia.”
“Uh…” I have to blink my eyes rapidly to realize that this apparition isn’t going away. Again, I’m stuck in some dream realm, but this is extremely different than usual.
“No need to open your blubbering lips just yet, boy. I am Gorbins, your guide. Follow me, follow me. I have important things to show you. Now, do be careful. I know how you mortals like to play dumb in these realms.”
“Gorbin? How many realms are there?” I ask the question without thinking, but instantly regret it.
He turns around and stomps his right foot loudly. “There are as many as I want there to be! And the name isn’t Gorbin. It is Gorbin-s! There is an S. S-S-S-S- Now, get it right!”
“Okay, okay,” I whisper. “Calm down.”
All I can really do is follow the pimpled, short, and green man through the thick fog. A cold chill passes over me. I notice that the hairs on my body actually start to freeze. Once we pass through, we are in an old library, filled with what looks to be ancient texts.
Gorbins jumps onto a ladder and slides across to the book of his choice. “Ah yes, here we are,” he says, pulling out a large book. The text is so heavy that he begins to wobble. “Oh, no! Not aga—iiiiiin!”
Slipping off of the top step, he falls to the ground, slamming directly onto his back.
“Argh!” He cries out in pain. “The goddesses must fix the damn ladders in these halls!”
I reach out, careful not to say anything. His slimy hands reach around mine, and pull himself back onto his feet. I wipe my wet palm against my jeans.
“Thank you, yes. Seems my balance was a bit thrown off. Funny, funny, I’m sure. But not to me, I can assure you!”
Dealing with this salmonella-spreading amphibian was starting to turn exhausting. Jackson. My Mate. I know that he’s next to me right now, in the material world. I can practically feel him there. I just want to hold him and kiss his neck. I don’t want to have to deal with this dream crap.
“Look, I figure you have something important to tell me, so why not just say it. I’m getting pretty tired of this runaround and would appreciate it if you’d get to the point,” I say, tapping my foot impatiently.
“You alphas are always trouble,” he mutters.
I half expect him to go on another tirade on how alphas are the worst of the worst, but he stops himself. Instead, he holds his glasses steady, while digging into the book.
“Hm. It says here that you will have twins, but that must be wrong,” he says, looking up from the book to eye me carefully. “You’re not exactly chosen-one material, if I say so myself.”
I roll my eyes and continue my foot tapping. “Go on. Do you have any other insults you want to throw my way?”

; Twins? So Jackson is pregnant with twins? Oh, my brave kitten! I can’t believe it. Despite being trapped in a musky library with this toad-turd, I am the happiest I have ever been in my entire life!
“Oh, do chill out. If you are the chosen one, then you can’t let these things get to you. It’s only a bit of fun,” he croaks.
“Chosen one? Why do you keep using these terms? I’m not chosen. I’m just someone who’s trying to make sense of my own life,” I say.
The toad-man suddenly turns weary. His voice turns more serious, as if he’s done playing the role of “angry caretaker.”
“But you’ve felt it all your life. Don’t lie to me, boy. You’ve felt it in your veins. Ever since the great rift. You remember the fires in your camp all too well. You experienced it from within,” he says. “And what frightened you most wasn’t that you would have to start over. It was that you would have to become a great hero with great responsibility.”
“I don’t understand,” I say.
“Of course, you don’t. The chosen-ones never do. So I’ll explain it to you how I explained it to the rest of them. The world, as you know it, sometimes falls into extreme duress. Why, you ask? It is simple! The fates have always looked at everything as if it’s a complex game.
“So my twins’ lives are just a game to them?” I ask, feeling my face turn hot.
He holds his wet finger into the air. “The council keeps the law and order around these parts, they do. They govern time, yes. They relish in their ability to keep order. You must understand. The goddesses are beautiful, and sometimes wise. But they are children nonetheless. They don’t understand the fates’ motives, and tend to help the fates out of sheer impulse!”
I nod, somewhat understanding what he’s talking about. “Yeah. I know all about the goddesses. The shamans in our village have many tales about them. I still don’t see how I come into all of this.”
The toad-man clears his phlegmy throat and continues. “You were born to sew the rift back together. The fate and the goddesses come together, once every epoch, in order to bring the worlds together. You see, you must help in this. It is a law of nature, boy.”
“Like the wax and wane of the moons?” I ask. The man ignores me.
I step back and feel the weight of all this press against my shoulders. Still, I hold strong. The toad-man is right. I knew something was going to happen and I knew it would be huge. I just didn’t realize the fate of the world would be resting on my shoulders and shit.
“Alright. What’s next? How do I sew the rift back together to end the void? Is there some holy sewing needle or something?” I ask.
He frowns. “Don’t be daft, boy. I cannot give you all of the answers. I am merely a messenger. The answer will be met on your journey,” he says. “When you feel lost—and you will feel lost—you must listen to your omega. Listen deep within him, to the heartbeat of the holy twins. You will surely find the way.”
The sound of my twins’ heartbeat pounds against my ear. I look up, into the sky, to see them already starting to form. I begin floating into the air toward them. I look back for the toad-man, but the library has disappeared. I move toward the warmth of Jackson’s womb. I close my eyes. And then I’m awake.
Chapter 7
Jackson
“Logan! Please, answer me. Oh, goddesses! What have you done?”
Jonas runs into the room, swinging the door open with a loud cracking sound. In his hand is a bucket of mead. “Watch out!” he yells.
On the bed lay Logan, convulsing. His shifter-self looks weaker than ever. His claws have retracted out from his knuckles somehow. He has somehow only shifted halfway into his bear form. His pupils have lost that chocolate aura to them. I close my eyes and begin to search for him. I’ve never seen something so horrifying before.
Please, Logan. If you can hear me, reach out. Come back to this realm. We need you. I need you. You’re my mate. Forever.
Somehow, Jonas manages to dump the bucket of mead onto both our heads. I fall backwards, tripping over myself in surprise.
“Jonas!” I scream. The back of my head hits the wood floor, and I blackout.
“Jackson, baby. Kitten, wake up. It’s me.” Logan.
I open my eyes with the biggest smile in the world. However, that same smile quickly disappears. “Don’t do that again to me!” I shout, rubbing my head.
He just laughs and kisses the big lump on my head. “Kitten, everything is fine. I was… well, I guess I was receiving some sort of message.”
I look back at Jonas, who in turn looks behind him. Both of my dads are standing in the doorway. Alste steps forward with a worried look in his eyes. “What message?”
My bear mate quickly hugs me from behind, nuzzling a kiss into my neck. “I love your son more than anything in the world,” he says. “I promise you. I didn’t mean to get us into this mess.”
“What mess, son?” Jergen asks.
Hearing my dad call him son sends a warm vibration up my spine, despite the circumstance. I push myself up onto my feet and look at my dads with courage. “We’re connected somehow,” I say.
Jonas scoffs. “Gross. You know, you don’t need to bring us all into your loving experiences. We know. We all heard you last night.”
I blush and sink down into my feet. “No.” Logan laughs. “Not like that. Well, I mean…”
I stop him from talking, as I am completely mortified. “Family, can we stop being weird for a second?”
Both of my dads look sternly at Jonas. He snickers and holds his hands innocently in the air. “I’m done, okay?”
“Just what is going on here?” Jergen asks.
Logan nods and takes a deep breath. “I don’t know everything yet. For a long time, I didn’t know what my true ability was. Of course, I’d dream of the outer-realms, just like the other bears in my peer group. But then my papa fell ill, so I left to try and make sense of everything. I went down to Arizona and spent six years in that hotel. That’s when I first started seeing visions.”
Both dads quickly glance at each other, both grim. Jonas bites his lip. “You two are fated mates. We can’t and won’t step in your way of that,” Jergen says.
His eyes latch onto the bonding sites on our chest. “Besides, it looks as if you have already done the deed.”
“And we’re so proud of you and excited,” Alste interjects, trying his best to be supportive.
Jonas bursts out laughing, but quickly stops himself when everyone looks angrily at him.
Logan continues. “I was told that I was a chosen-one. I’m not saying that to brag or put any importance on myself. I would rather not be chosen, but this is what I was told. I am the one who must fix the great rift in our world. But I can’t do it alone. Jackson and I are now connected. And I have to protect him. He’s bearing twins.”
“Holy shit. Twins? Such a blessing!” Alste starts to tear up. It hits close to home. He runs toward me and wraps his big arms around me. “Oh, great goddess. My omega! Thank you for blessing our family!”
Jergen smiles affectionately, but he still has a grave look in his eye. “Are you mad?” Logan asks.
“Goodness, no! Why would we be mad? I’ve been waiting for this day my entire life. We should celebrate,” Alste says.
Jergen is concerned, though. “We will celebrate when the time comes. If you really are a chosen-one, you must take this very seriously and proceed with caution. Frankly, it’s hard to wrap my old head around all of this.”
“I know. It’s difficult for me too. Trust me, dad. We’re going to get through this. I know it,” Logan says, standing tall.
Dad. I choke up a little. I’m not going to lie. Looking at him makes me proud. I am a bit worried about all of this chosen-one stuff, but Logan is the strongest man I’ve ever known. If anyone is up for a task this huge, it’s him.
“I’m sorry, but I need to go visit my dying father. I need to go to the caves up north and see my people,” Logan says.
“And Jackson ne
eds to go, I’m assuming,” Jergen says.
“I do, father,” I say. “I can’t let him go on this journey alone.”
“But you are pregnant, my omega. This is dangerous. You must be pampered and taken care of,” he says.
Alste slowly walks up to my father and kisses his lips, softly. One word comes to mind in this moment: ew. But I have to admit that it’s sweet, and they have managed to take care of each other extremely well.
“I’m sure our son will be plenty taken care of,” Alste says. “We must do what our elders taught us to do. Let go of control. Both our sons are adults now. We must believe in them.”
My papa hugs him back. I start to feel emotional and a tad bit sick. Somehow, I can hear the soft heartbeat come from my belly. I’m not sure if it’s something I’m just anticipating or if it’s already there.
“You’re right,” Jergen says. He looks past Alste and adds, “When I saw Logan at the airport, I knew something was coming. Both the bears and the jaguars have dreamed of peace for so long. Normally, I’d be making some phone calls, after seeing the bite marks on your chests. All of this is so sudden. Alste knows how much I hate surprises. But damn, Logan. We do need a hero. That doesn’t mean you can leave before supper, though.”
Before Logan can respond, the sound of heavy running comes from outside the doorway. I immediately hear the loud laughter of my uncle. “Alright, where’s my little omega? I hear he’s packing double!”
“Dad,” I growl.
Alste chuckles to himself. “I’m sorry. I had to send my voice out to the family. You know how hard it is for me to control my ability.”
“There you are!” Uncle Dale runs into the room, fangs out. “I cannot believe it! Jackson is packin’, huh? Twins, too! What is up with this family and twins? Un-be-lievable!”
“That’s right. I’m pregnant. So much for the surprise,” I groan. “Are you here to cook me a good meal, or what?”
