Grant spun Lili into his arms.
“Were the pancakes really okay?” she asked.
“Er….”
“Oh.” She huffed out a long breath.
“They were much better than okay, they were fantastic.”
She grinned. “Right answer.”
Suggestions for an emergency pack for your car when traveling in snow
Staying warm and well hydrated are the keys to survival.
* Mobile phone and charger.
* Drinking water—at least two bottles (eating snow lowers your body temperature). The smaller the bottle the better, in a way, because if they freeze, they’ll defrost quicker.
* Winter clothing and boots—hats, scarves, gloves
* LED emergency beacon
* Long-life food—high-energy bars like chocolate. Rotate it every few weeks to keep it fresh.
* Self-heating meal and spoon
* Thermal survival bag
* Foil emergency blanket
* Rope
* De-icer
* Shovel
* Flashlight—either ones that don’t eat batteries or a wind up one.
* First aid kit
* Light sticks
* Instant handwarmers
Remember, if you’re trapped in your car, you can stay warm by running the engine BUT it’s essential that the exhaust pipe is not blocked by snow. If it is, you could die from carbon monoxide poisoning. Only run the engine for ten minutes in each hour.
Stay close to your car. It’s easy to get lost in a whiteout mere yards from your vehicle. Hang something bright on your car, if you can, to attract attention.

When two hearts get lost in a snowstorm of what they think they want, can Madame Eve's magic put them back on the right track?
