“I’m so sorry.” So they shared that sad history.
“Many other occupations filled my dreams.” His voice turned dreamy. “Most of all, an architect.”
“Really?”
“Yes, in fact the moment I walked into the flat, the urge grew strong. My mind began rearranging the design. I crave to build strong structures with classic designs, such as those from my youth.”
“An Egyptian renaissance. People would love that, I bet. You’d be a fantastic architect.” And the sexiest one Egypt had ever known.
“Do you think so?” Sincerity gave him the innocence of a boy.
“Of course. You could go to school, get a degree and be designing in no time. Well, in a few years anyway.” A drop in the bucket of time. Now they had plenty, though one lifetime wasn’t enough to do all she wanted to with him. A world awaited exploring.
As they strolled beneath the stars, the future stretched out before them like a beautiful path waiting for them to step onto it.
She couldn’t wait to begin the journey.
