Thank you to Larry Kirshbaum for always asking me about the horses and my family. Erick Pullen handles the author relations and he does a great job. He is always there when needed.

Timoney (T$), you are seriously one cool chick. You get the job done, and I am so appreciative for all of the marketing and promotional efforts you put forth and into this series. It is a good feeling to have you on board!

Many thanks to Katrina Damkoehler and her design team, who are the magic behind the awesome covers. I LOVE my covers!

Thank you to the team at Girl Friday. You ladies know how to copyedit and get the work done. I am indebted to you for catching all my little mistakes.

Jessica Park and the other nineteen (you know who you are)—thank you for always listening, supporting, suggesting, and just being there. I love you, JP and the crew, you bunch of glittery unicorns, you!

As always, thanks to the amazing horsewomen in my life! Gina Miles is a rock star. That’s all I can say without gushing further. She just is. There were scenes in this book that could not have been written without her! Tami Smith is another rock star who supports the work. Jessica Burch and her daughter, Molly, have also contributed to this book in ways they may not know, but I thank them and am happy to have found such great friends. I want to thank Neely Ashley for being like another daughter. I love her very much and thank her for The Woo (her old event horse, who now lives happily at my house). Debbi Rosen is another supporter and amazing event rider who I lean on from time to time. Love you, Deb. Also, my sister Jessica, who may not be an event rider but who is an amazing barrel racer, and she knows horses like she knows the back of her hand.

And, to the two most important horsewomen in my life. I have to give a huge shout-out to the woman who has taught me more about these amazing creatures in the past six years than I had known in the past . . . well, let’s just say several decades. She opened the world of eventing to me, and she introduced me to all of the other horsewomen mentioned here—Terri Rocovich. I love you and I am grateful to you on so many levels. The other one is someone I refer to as Terri’s kid, even though she is also my kid. My daughter, Kaitlin, rides under Terri’s tutelage and has dreams and goals that I know she will achieve because she has desire, determination, and a passion for horses and the sport. Kaitlin is a major part of the inspiration for this series!

I have to acknowledge the horses I am privileged to have in my life. There are too many to name, but I will mention my special girl, Bronte. When the days are a little rough, I know I can head to the barn and she will be waiting and happy to see me. There isn’t a better feeling in the world than knowing your horse is happy to see you.
