“Do it Baby fill me up,” she cried out as she tightened around him, her own orgasm right on the verge of taking her over.
This was them, hard, nasty, dirty sex. This was what Nate did to her and what she did to him. She should have been ashamed to be doing this here but she wasn’t in the slightest and she knew he wasn’t either. Nate had unlocked the freak inside her and she was never to be locked away again.
Nate reached for a cube of ice from the bowl on the countertop. Pam squirmed beneath him when she felt the cold wet ice between her cheeks. Nate watched as it melted against her heated skin. When the ice melted down just enough he used his index finger to circle her hole with the remainder of the cool cube.
Pam purred at the new sensation as Nate poked and probed with the ice. Her heart pounded with anticipation for more. Just as she thought he would enter her there with his finger he slapped her cheek.
“Soon Baby,” grunted.
Nate’s hips bucked hard against her. The sounds of skin slapping against skin mixed with their raw moans and groans filling the air. Nate placed his hands on the countertop while his eyes remained fixed on her backside slapping against him.
“Damn Pam, you’re so wet,” Nate grunted out. “This pussy is mine. You hear me Baby. Mine.”
“Yes, it’s all for you Daddy. You make me so wet, you feel so good,” Pam sobbed as she shivered and started to fall apart calling his name.
Nate roared, bellowing out her name with his release as stream after stream of his seed pumped into his woman. He released a satisfied grunt at the feel of filling her up with his seed. With a triumphant groan he collapsed against the countertop.
Reaching down for Pam’s waist he wrapped an arm around her and gently shifted her body to rest under his against the countertop. Pam let out a squeal as her breasts came in contact with the cool marble. Nate massaged her limbs, back and waist as he kissed her neck softly. When his legs felt like they would work again he scooped Pam into his arms and started for their bedroom.
“Nate, I should clean up this mess,” Pam said sleepily.
He kissed her forehead. “Don’t worry about it. I’ll get it when we are done,” he said against her temple.
“Sounds good,” Pam yawned.
Chapter Twenty One
“Hello,” Pam answered her phone unable to release the smile she had on her face since last night.
Nate had made good on his promise to work her over until she couldn’t take anymore. That was exactly why she was still soaking in the tub while Nate had taken the girls with him to pick up her parents. She was waiting for him to return after he dropped them all off at the Mairettie’s.
She hadn’t even bothered to look at the caller ID. So she was surprised to hear the voice of Justin, Nate’s assistant on the other line. “Hello, Ms. Kemble,” Justin said. “Ma’am, Mr. Briggs is sending a car to pick you up. There will be two guards one of which will be your driver, Alex. The other will be Toran, please make sure to check their identification before going anywhere with them. Toran should show you his credentials before you open the door. If you have any problems call Mr. Briggs immediately.”
Pam sat up in the water. “What, Justin what is going on?”
Justin paused long enough for Pam to check the phone to make sure he was still on the line. He sighed then explained. “Ms. Kemble, babies Peyton, James and Daniel have been kidnapped. We are bringing the family together to a central location to make sure everyone else is safe and not an open target.”
“Oh my God,” Pam breathed as she shot up out of the tub. “Where are my girls? Is my sister okay, what the hell is going on? Who would do this?”
“The girls are fine ma’am they are with your parents. Ma’am, we are working on all those answers. Mr. Briggs is on his way to the estate right now, but he asks that you don’t try to go there until your detail arrives,” Justin said nervously.
“Are you kidding me? I’m right here next door. I need to know if my sister is okay,” Pam hissed into the phone.
“No ma’am, what is best for you to do is wait for your detail. They will give the all clear when you can join your sister at the estate,” Justin said more firmly.
“Bite me Justin,” Pam growled and hung up the phone on the stunned assistant.
Pam had on a pair of jeans and a tank top as fast as she could before shoving her feet in a pair of heeled boots and tossing on a leather jacket. With her purse and phone in hand she rushed for the door to make her way next door.
She’d been happy to be living next door to her sister. It had proved to be great in the past months. It had even worked wonders for her relationship to see for herself how much Nate and Bobby really worked together. Today, she was just grateful to be so close to her sister so she could get to her as fast as possible. She had to be a wreck. She thought of her own girls and tears threatened to spill over.
Pam opened the door and walked right into a broad chest. She looked up to find a light skin guy blocking her way. She couldn’t tell his ethnicity but she wasn’t sure he was black. He held up his ID.
“Ms. Kemble, I’m Toran. If you come with me we will be taking you over to the Mairettie estate,” he said with a slight accent she couldn’t place.
Pam blinked a few times at his ID then looked around him to see her usual driver, Alex, sitting in a SUV waiting. Pam rolled her eyes but let Toran lead her over to the truck. Pam was fuming. She knew Nate was in the middle of all this somehow. Her sister’s heart had to be bleeding and here her man would be in the center of the action no doubt.
Pam’s thoughts were racing. I mean seriously, why the hell is Nate going to check on Paige and Bobby? Why didn’t they call the cops if the babies are missing? Why the hell did everyone need to be in a central location? What is this man really into? I will not go through this shit again. I’m tired of the lying. One more lie off those lips of his and I am out.

Nate could hear her before he saw her and he knew his time had run out. Pam needed to know what was going on. There was no way he could hide this all any longer. She is an intelligent woman. She has always known he was keeping secrets. He also knew that it was only her love for him that had kept her with him in spite of. He just didn’t know if that love would be enough now.
“Okay so you have us all here now. Can someone please tell me what is going on? This family and its damn secrets once again is about to have me fuck someone up. Where are my nephews and why do I know that you are in the middle of all this,” Pamela barked pointing a finger at Nate with her last words.
Nate’s head dropped back and he blew out a long sigh. When his eyes focused back on Pam he was resigned to his fate. “We need to talk,” Nate said as he composed himself.
Pamela narrowed her eyes and put a hand on her hip. “Damn right we do and it better be truth coming from those lips for once,” Pam spat.
“Pam,” Paige started.
“I got this short stuff. Thanks,” Nate said to Paige stopping her from getting in the middle. She had been in the middle of this for far too long.
Nate turned to leave the room and Pam followed him as she glared holes in the back of his head. Suddenly Pam felt exhaustion wash over her. She was just plain tired, tired of the lies, tired of trying, and tired of loving a man that couldn’t give her his all. She wondered to herself if Nate was any better than Luca.
She was plain heartsick. She had tried so hard to open her heart to this man. Now she felt like she was just ignoring all the signs that told her this was bad for her, like she had done with Luca and even with Vanessa. She was tired of people taking her heart for granted and using it to hurt her.
Just like Luca, Nate had made her no promises. He never talked of marrying her. He had only moved her in with him just like the man who had hurt her so badly. It was so clear she had made the same mistakes all over again. Only this time she had two little girls to think about as well.
A tear slipped from her eyes. Before she could wipe it away Nate
stopped in the study, turning in time to see the tear break free. He pressed his lips and reached up to wipe it away pulling her into his arms.
“Don’t Baby,” Nate started.
“No, you don’t Nathaniel,” Pam barked, her voice breaking.
“Pam, listen to me. I have my reasons for keeping some things from you,” Nate started again.
“You’re kidding me right,” Pam hissed as she tried to push out of his arms. It was like pushing at steel.
Nate tightened his hold. “Pam, just let me explain. If you want to walk away after that then I’ll let you go.”
“Let me walk away, really?”
“You know what I mean, Pam. I will give you space to think,” Nate said as he masked his emotions.
“Okay Nate, let’s have it,” Pam crossed her arms over her chest. Nate never let his hold on her go.
“My family is Briggs Security. It’s who we are, what we do, how we live. Our biggest clients are the Mairetties. I have been Bobby’s personal body guard for as long as I have been his best friend. Same goes for my dad and James and Marie and Rita.
“The reason I didn’t just come out and tell you is because Marie doesn’t really know that Rita is her personal body guard. With the threats and all the changes in the family we just thought it best if we didn’t tell anyone so no mistakes were made.
“We are the best at what we do and the most private and unseen in security. Not many know how deep the Mairettie security runs. I needed to keep you safe Pam and I needed to do my job.”
“Some job you have done. Where are my sister’s kids? Where is your own sister’s baby?” Pam snapped.
“I have this under control, Pam,” Nate was barely keeping his temper contained.
“Oh God, so much make sense now,” Pam gasped as tears started to roll down her cheeks. “Is that how you always seem to know where I am, even when I don’t tell you the locations I am working in?”
Nate nodded in response. “That’s why you were so sure you could protect me?” He nodded again as he watched a wide range of emotions run over her face.
“Let me ask you something Nate. It has been bothering me for a long time now. You knew there was a chance I was pregnant way before I told you I was, didn’t you?”
Nate sighed and reached to pinch the bridge of his nose. “Yeah Baby, I did. I found a few of the condoms were tampered with after our first night together.”
“Nate, I asked you from the beginning to never hurt me, to never lie to me. You promised,” Pam choked out.
“No Baby, I never made that promise. I couldn’t make that promise. I knew there were things I couldn’t tell you yet. So I didn’t make that promise.
“What I did tell you was that as your man my first job will always be to make sure you are safe, protected and taken care of. I told you I will always keep you happy and satisfied, but I never made that promise you ask for because I knew I couldn’t fully keep it and keep you safe and happy,” Nate vouched with emotion clogging his voice.
This was breaking his heart as much as hers. He knew someday those words would come back to haunt him. He had chosen his words carefully that day. He watched her heart shatter in her eyes with each word. This was not how this day was supposed to go. This look in her eyes was never supposed to be.
This was his baby. Pam had made her way into his heart fast and hard. Pamela Kemble was everything he prayed for. She’d given him the most beautiful little girls and brought a peace into his life he hadn’t known was missing until he met her.
And here he stood losing it all. He could see her withdrawing even as he held her in his arms. He scrambled through his brain for the right thing to say to get her to understand, but her words cut him to the quick as she spoke next.
“I tried Nate. I didn’t want what happened with Luca to dictate my feelings or relationship with you, but you are just like him. You chose how my life should go and you lied with every step I tried to take with you. Omissions count Nate, sometimes omissions are worse than lies,” Pam took a shuttered breath. “You said you are here to keep the Mairetties safe, well there are three missing. You should go do your job. It is after all most important to you.”
“Pam it’s not –,” she held up her hand.
“Yeah Nate, I get it. I just want to go hold my girls,” Pam wiped her face clean and pulled out of his arms.
“Once I have the boys back Pam we can talk through this. I love you so much,” Nate said to her back.
“Sure,” Pam replied emotionlessly.
Chapter Twenty Two
Nate stood staring at Pam. He knew they needed to talk. He could feel he was losing her, but once again he had to take care of his duties first. His nephew squirming in his arms reminded him his sister needed to know her son was safe. Knowing Pam was too pissed right now to see reason Nate sighed and headed off to find his sister.
Pam turned to Paige, “Hannah is gorgeous. I’m happy you have your family back. I just need to get out of here,” Pam said.
“I understand,” Paige nodded.
Pam went to get the girls in their car seats. She fought the tears that wanted to spill. She was getting ready to leave the only man she ever truly loved. She knew now what she felt for Luca was nothing compared to what she felt for Nate. Nate was life. He completed her in ways she hadn’t even known she was incomplete.
Thomas came over and placed a hand on her shoulder. Pam looked up into his eyes. His hazel-green eyes looked so sad. Pam had come to be close with the grandfather of her children.
“Are you sure you want to do this,” Thomas said softly.
“I think it’s best,” Pam’s voice quivered with emotion.
“For who?” Thomas asked with a lifted brow.
“For us all,” Pam pressed her lips and lifted her two girls in her arms, cradling both their car seats.
“Jasper,” Thomas called. Jasper walked over to where Pam and he stood.
“Hey, Unc,” Jasper replied once he stood beside him.
“Take Pamela and the girls wherever she wants to go. Make sure they get there safely. We have had enough excitement for one day,” Thomas ordered as he gave Pam a warm smile.
“Thanks,” Pam leaned up on her toes to kiss his cheek.
“Always my dear, just don’t keep my girls away from me for too long,” Thomas said giving her a smile just like his son’s, causing a ping in her heart.

Nate almost kicked Jasper’s ass when he wouldn’t tell him where he took Pam. He knew his father had told Jasper not to tell him. His cousin’s life was only spared when he remembered the tracking device he had put on the necklace he had given Pam. The girls had them too on their little bracelets.
Nate made a mental note to have all the kids wear them from now on. He called Justin and had a location within minutes. He tore out of the hospital ignoring his dad, James and Bobby trying to tell him to give her some time.
He couldn’t let Pam just leave him and take his children with her. When he said he would give her space he didn’t mean like this. He couldn’t breathe. His woman and his girls were his life. In that moment he realized he would walk away from everything for her.
However, when he arrived at the address he was given he didn’t know what to do. She had run to her friend. The man she had once told him she felt safe with. That tore his heart to shreds because he had become her safe place. If she had to run to Uri that meant she no longer felt safe with him.
Nate knew it was crazy, to stand there in the middle of the street looking up at the building. It was not like he could see into the loft from where he stood. Just the same he stood across from the building looking up in the direction of the loft, longing for his woman in his arms.
Even as it started to rain he stood there. He was too numb to feel the drops as they tattooed his hurt onto his skin. As if the clouds opened to reveal his past, present and future, every lie, every sin. Each rain drop that hit him was a finger pointed, telling him of his mistakes. His grea
test mistake being doing the one thing the woman he loved asked him not to do.
He pushed the button on his phone and put it to his ear. “Hello,” the accented voice answered.
“Is she okay,” Nate asked masking his emotions.
“Not really, but I have brought someone in to help her with the girls. I will only be here for tonight,” there was a pause and a sigh. “I told you it would have been better to tell her this a long time ago.”
“Yeah, I know. It wasn’t that simple,” Nate said tightly.
“Love never is my friend,” Uri grunted. “I don’t think you meant to hurt her, Nathaniel. I will do what I can to help you win her back, but this time I advise you to be as forward as possible. For now, I won’t be far and I will keep her safe until she is back home where she belongs.”
“Thank you Uri. Once again I owe you,” Nate noted.
“You are welcome. For now we will just say I am taking care of my family as you and I always do, yes?”
“Yes,” Nate cut the call. He knew the man on the other end of the line understood him. He had everything he held dear in his life in his possession.
The rain started to pound down but he still stood staring up at the building. He didn’t know how to leave his heart behind. The only things that would comfort him were up in that loft. With a heavy heart he vowed this would not end here.

Tear streamed down Pamela’s cheeks as she looked out of the vast windows. It didn’t matter that they were blurred from the rain or that they were high up off the ground level. Her heart told her who the figure was standing in the rain below. She had been drawn to the window hours ago with a crying Tracey in her arms.
The moment she spotted the large figure standing on the side walk looking up she knew it was Nate. Her heart told her its other half was nearby. It took everything she had not to run down to him.
“How are you holding up, Bella,” Uri asked from behind her.
