Mr Mouthful

“I need to do this alone.”

“Are you sure?” Joshua asked. I nodded. He sat back in his seat without another word and I followed Dr. Burr back to her office.

“Hello Mr. Kuznetsov, have a seat.”

The doctor sat behind her desk and smiled. “So, do you still wish to know the results of your test?”

That question had been playing on repeat in my head since they’d drawn blood three weeks ago. I felt like my entire life had been wrapped up in this disease. Between taking care of my mother and my aunt, and the constant examining myself for symptoms it would be a relief to know. But, it also might require losing my old identity. My inner victimhood would either be validated or gone within the space of a sentence. I inhaled, then nodded.

“Yes, please, I need to know.”

She opened the folder in front of her and put on a pair of reading glasses. Moments later she closed the folder and spoke.

“You have tested negative for the mutation.”

  “Oh.”

My brain blanked, and I couldn’t figure out the appropriate response. Then I felt a rumble in my chest. It started out small, then I realized I was about to laugh. Oh my God, what would this woman think of me? When so many people had died from this, and here I was laughing with relief.

“It’s okay to express your feelings Mr. Kuznetsov.” She leaned back in her chair.

“It’s just that, I feel so much relief, but I wonder why I got so…”

  “Lucky?”

I nodded. Why wasn’t my mom here anymore, yet I was?

“I have no words of wisdom to offer. Here.” Dr. Burr slid a card across the desk. “This is an associate of mine, a psychologist who’s proven very helpful to many of our patients. If you need help, this is an excellent resource.”

I took the card and slid it into my jacket pocket, then stood up. “Do you need me for anything else?” Joshua was waiting. I had to see him now.

“No. I wish you well Mr. Kuznetsov. If you need anything else, you know where to reach me.”

Before I entered the waiting room, I felt tears sliding down my cheeks. I pushed open the double doors then stood in front of Joshua.

“Let’s go.” I sniffed, then walked out the front door with him on my heels. When we were standing by the car he spoke.

  “What happened? Are you okay?”

Joshua’s eyes were wet, and I realized he was probably thinking the worst. Jesus, he was the most beautiful man I’d ever seen in my life, and now I’d never have to let him go. I wrapped my arms around him and lifted him off the ground.

“Negative, my test came back negative!” I cried, and finally gave in to the laughter I’d felt in Dr. Burr’s office, then felt Joshua’s body shaking against mine, only he wasn’t laughing. I put his feet back on the ground and lifted his chin with my index finger. Tears were flowing down his cheeks and then he laid his head on my shoulder and sobbed.

Instantly my glee transformed to grief, and a strange sense of peace I was unfamiliar with. I suspected this odd mix of emotions would be my new norm. It would be a long time before I accepted that this disease had passed me over. My heaving chest sobbed next to his. People eyed us as they walked by, and I didn’t give a damn. Once we’d both calmed down, I kissed his cheek and whispered in his ear.

“You’re stuck with me now. You know that, don’t you?”

  Josh- Three Months Later

“That’s the last of my stuff.” I placed my last box of belongings into the trunk of my car. “Let’s take care of the most important part now.” I slapped Luke on the shoulder and we headed inside to Sneaky’s bar.

My lawyer had drawn up the papers which Serge held in his hand. We headed to our usual booth in the back of the bar where the gang was waiting. Everyone who was sitting got up, allowing Luke and I to sit across from one another. Sneaky placed a bottle of tequila, two shot glasses and two mugs of beer in front of us.

“You ready?” I asked. Luke nodded, his dark eyes glittering, and a rare smile dancing across his face. I handed him a pen which he used to scribble his name on several dotted lines. Moments later he glanced up, then handed me the pen, and I did the same. I hesitated for only a second, then realized it was for the best and signed my coffee shop over to him. I poured us each a shot and raised my glass.

“Congratulations Luke Taggart, you are the brand new owner of Percolate.”

The gang clapped for him and lifted their mugs. I’d long ago lost interest in the coffee shop, and now that Serge and I were living together in Michael’s building, I figured it was time to let it go. Luke was moving into my old apartment upstairs. Oh, and he’d also bought out Sneaky’s interest in Percolate. The bar kept her too busy to pay attention to the business, so now Luke was a one man show, well, except for Suzi who still worked weekends there. Oh, and Suzi had passed the audition for the Richmond Symphony Youth Orchestra thanks to Serge’s help. He was an amazing teacher and had a way with young people.

“I also have an announcement.” Serge said, and everyone’s eyes focused on him. Something I’d not noticed until recently was how shy he was. In fact, that was the reason behind his intimidating persona. Since he discovered he was negative for the gene mutation, he’d slowly opened up more with our friends, and the musicians at the symphony had tentatively started to approach him more.

“Joshua and I are moving out of the building at the end of the month. Michael has officially sold us a home across the street from Kent and Erik.”

While everyone congratulated us, I thought about the weeks we’d spent looking for a place. Serge had never owned his own house before, so I had to hold his hand throughout the process. Our new home around the corner on Pine Street had been completely renovated and was the perfect size for the two of us. Another strange surprise was the amount of money I discovered Serge made. I’d often wondered why he’d chosen to live in Spencer’s old apartment.

Conductors who scored Hollywood films usually had healthy bank accounts. He did, but almost 2/3rds of his income went to supporting his aunt and her numerous medical bills. When he was yelling at his incompetent agent on the phone, it was because he had to have the best deals possible just so he could afford to take care of her. He’d lived like this for almost twenty years, selflessly taking care of first his mother, and then his aunt. Now that we were a two income family, he could finally afford to settle into a real home.

“Oh, I think you forgot to mention the best part.” I piped up. All eyes focused on me, and then back to Serge, who suddenly grew quiet, and then flushed.

“Joshua has agreed to marry me. We will hold the ceremony next spring at Maymont park in the Italian Gardens. I invite all of you, of course, and Suzi will perform the music for the ceremony.”

While the drinks flowed and congratulations were spread between Luke and Serge and I, I noticed a sheen of sweat on Serge’s forehead which worried me. I scooted over and patted the seat next to me. Serge sat and held my hand, and I could feel his pulse racing.

Though his anxiety had gotten better once the diagnosis had been made, it had never gone completely away. He’d made use of that psychologist Dr. Burr had recommended and was slowly making progress. One thing I had to come to grips with was he’d never be anxiety free. Occasionally he’d need time alone, or he’d cleave to me with a fear he could never name. It amazed me that he could step out on stage in front of thousands of people without a care in the world, but surrounded by a group of friends he’d grow flustered and scared. I had a feeling he might have reached his limit with socializing for the day.

“Let’s take the rest of your stuff to the storage unit and head home. I’ve had enough peopling.” Serge whispered in my ear. “Plus, I have news for your ears only.”

When we entered our apartment, Serge led me by the hand into the bedroom. Once there, he sat on the edge of the bed and grabbed my hips, centering my crotch in front of his mouth. His hand shook as he felt my growing erection. Despite his attentions and knowing his
mouth would soon be on my cock I stepped back out of his reach.

“So, what’s this news you want to tell me?”

Serge’s dark eyes locked with mine. “I’ve spent years afraid of not just the genetic testing, but also the HIV test. Not that I have had a ton of partners, but one fear led to another, so I’d never been tested for it before.”

  “And?”

“I figured if I had the courage to find out my gene mutation status, I could find out my HIV status too. You don’t know how much I hate having that latex between us. I want to feel your flesh around my cock as I’m making love to you.” He reached out with both hands and pulled me toward him and rubbed my cock again. “I’m negative for that too, and I started taking PrEP. Would it be okay for us to get rid of these?” Serge reached into the nightstand and grabbed the box of condoms and waved them at me.

I’d allowed no one to fuck me without a condom before, but that didn’t mean I hadn’t thought of what it would be like to have Serge’s length inside me without one. Every time I jerked off that was my main fantasy, wanting only him inside me, unsheathed. I snatched the box out of his hands and threw them across the room.

  “Hell yes, babe.” I murmured.

Serge’s hands went straight for my zipper and pulled it down, then unbuttoned the top of my jeans and yanked them down to my knees. He mouthed the head of my cock through my black boxer briefs before yanking them down.

“Oh God, Serge, please, take me inside…”

He wrapped his lips around the head of my dick and worked the base with one of his hands, a slow rhythm making my knees shake. I laced my fingers through his thick dark hair and pushed my length all the way inside until I could feel the head of my cock hit the back of his throat. His other hand played with my balls, then worked its way up until he found my hole. Serge massaged my entrance in time with the magic he was performing on my cock. Damn it, I was so hot for him, so eager to feel his massive cock inside me that if he didn’t slow down, I would shoot my load straight down his throat. I gently pushed his head back until my cock popped out of his mouth and hit him on the cheek. A drop of pre-come formed at the tip and Serge licked it away.

“Serge, the thought of you inside me will make me come, like now. Come on, I need you naked.” I said breathlessly, then I pulled my shirt over my head and kicked off my jeans and underwear. I fell back on the bed and watched as he did his usual slow striptease.

Serge was a natural performer, both onstage and off. Usually he took his time, teasing me, but today his eyes had an impatient gleam. He kicked off his loafers first, then with both hands he yanked at his shirt, buttons flying across the room. Seconds later it floated down to his feet. The outline of his shaft was so big it was almost comical. He worked it with both hands, then slowly unzipped. As usual, he had nothing on underneath. Serge shoved his pants down and started fisting his cock and rubbing his balls.

“Babe, you are going to be walking funny for a while after this.” He leered.

“Serge, I’ve been walking funny since we met.” I laughed. He bit his lower lip and winked and then kicked his pants into the corner of the room before covering my body with his own.

Serge’s eyes gleamed as they stared into mine. His lips lightly brushed mine and then his tongue snaked out, licking up my cheek.

“I love you so damn much Joshua.” I noticed Serge’s eyes were damp, with almost a questioning look. “How you came to be in my life is the greatest miracle I’ve ever known.” He whispered, then his mouth crashed down on mine. God, he always tasted so amazing, and despite the ferocity of his growls he was tender too. He lifted his face off of mine and grabbed my hands, pinning me underneath him. Serge rubbed his cock against my hip then attached his lips to my neck.

“Oh, fuck me, Serge.” I groaned, then felt his teeth nibbling my ear lobe. “I can’t wait any more, I can’t. Please Serge, I can’t…”

My thighs opened, and I scooted down automatically, wanting him in between my legs. He released my hands and reached into the nightstand for the lube. After dashing half the contents of the drawer on the floor he found it.

“Babe, I love you so fucking much.” He murmured as he worked the gel onto his manhood, then he poured more on his fingers and slid them inside my entrance. “You will taste my come in the back of your throat when I’m done, and you’re going to love every second of it.”

I froze with fear for a moment, then relaxed as I felt him position the head of his cock against me, rubbing it against my hole to open me up. Serge was the biggest man I’d ever been with, and it was no joke about me walking funny. His eyes now had that glazed look I recognized, when pure lust took over. He leaned back and placed my knees over his shoulders and grabbed my aching cock, working the lube into it. Sparks raced up and down my body, and suddenly I had to have him inside me now.

“Fuck me Serge, I can’t take this anymore.” I muttered through gritted teeth.

The head of his cock sliding inside was always the difficult part because of his size, but not today. Half his length was inside me with one push. I gasped, then felt waves of pleasure radiating from my groin.

“Oh babe, this... you feel incredible.” Serge murmured then brushed his lips over mine. He pulled back an inch or two, then with one more push he was inside me to the hilt.

“Fuck!” I hissed. His cock hit my sweet spot so hard, and the feel of his skin instead of latex was incredible. “Serge” I breathed. “hard, I want you to pound me hard.”

A sly grin spread across his face, then he withdrew most of his cock and then slammed it into me all at once. I closed my eyes and saw fireworks, and then he increased the tempo. Soon he was pistoning in and out so hard the headboard was slamming against the wall.

I felt something wet hit my lips and opened my eyes to see sweat dripping off his nose as he worked me hard with his cock. I tried to grasp his biceps, but they were too slick with moisture to hold on to.

“I love you so much, babe.” He said then stopped abruptly and attached his mouth to the sensitive skin under my ear. I knew what that meant, he was getting close, real close. My hand snaked down to my shaft and started jerking it, wanting us to come together. Serge began to slowly move in and out again, and I felt his tongue and teeth on my neck. The way he marked me when he came was the biggest turn on, turning into such a fucking primal animal, and this time I’d feel his essence deep inside.

“Give it to me now, Serge, let go, I want to feel you come inside, want to feel your heat.”

As soon as the words left my lips his hips moved, slower this time, but somehow deeper. A low growl came from his chest, then his steady thrusts lost their rhythm, becoming staccato. Then with a roar I felt his teeth bite down and his cock throb as he emptied inside me.

Within seconds come flew out of me, covering my chest. My arms wrapped around Serge’s shoulders pulling him closer, loving the feel of his mouth on my neck. His hips came to a stop, and with a shudder he collapsed on top of my prone form. We were both panting, trying to catch our breath. Eventually he slid off and lay on his back next to me. I curled up beside him and laid my head on his sweaty chest. Then, as usual I felt a low rumbling begin, and moments later a laugh of release which set me off giggling with him. Why we did this, I’d never know, but this time it was different. The intimacy that much stronger.

“You…” Serge began, then laughed some more. “I’ve never felt so in love with you as I do now.”

  The feeling was mutual.

  “I love you too, Serge.”

“Sign here, and here.” Michael said, then laid the keys to my new apartment in front of me. I picked them up, feeling a twinge of panic. Locked into a lease for a year, a commitment to stay in Richmond for at least that amount of time. Stuffing them in my pocket, I looked up to see Michael’s huge sparkling grin, and for a moment I felt something I hadn’t in a long time: hope. Maybe, just maybe, the dreams I’d had over the years about me and him could come true. Tearing my eyes away from his, they dragged down his thick, muscled body. His red button-down shirt barely contained his massive pecs, and then his stomach flattened out before hitting the top button of his jeans, and if my memory was accurate, a massive...

“Spencer? You okay?” Caught staring, I felt blood rushing to my face. I stood, and backed away from the desk.

“Sorry, I guess I’m going to be in Richmond for a minimum of a year now. I never thought it would be home again. Kinda scary to tell you the truth.” I shook my head, wondering why I told him that. It had always been like this with him, a special magic he had to extract every private thought in my head.

“Well, maybe that’s not such a bad thing. Actually, it makes me want to celebrate. Ready for dinner?” Michael came around the desk and rubbed my lower back, the heat of his hand soothing, almost hypnotic, like his deep, gravelly voice. I could feel our off-the-charts chemistry rising to an incendiary level. A groan worked its way up my throat, and my dick reacted the way it always did when he touched me, so I coughed and backed away.
