The One and Only Alpha

  What's that about? Stephan nodded and walked over to me.

  ""I love you Skylar, so much.

  I'm always here for you, you can tell me anything.

  Be safe kitten.

  "" Oh crap""¦does he know? He couldn't know.

  There's no way he could know, I only told Stephan.

  And I made him promise to not tell.

  He wouldn't go against it, would he? ¡No! That's not like him.

  Maybe I'm just crazy, yep I'm just crazy.

  Okay, phew.

  ""I know.

  "" I said putting on a fake smile.

  ""And I love you too.

  "" I kissed him and I put everything into that kiss.

  This will be the last time I probably will ever kiss Axel again.

  He responded quickly, and we just stood there kissing each other for about 10 minutes.

  We both pulled away reluctantly and rested our foreheads against each other.

  I gave him another peck on his lips and whispered in his ear.

  ""I love you so much.

  "" ""I love you too Skylar.

  "" He pulled me into him for one last kiss and I gave him a sad smile.

  I walked out the door with Stephan without turning back.

  Once we reached the forest I let out the tears that I were desperately holding in.

  We both changed into wolf form and ran to the clearing.

  Stephan knew I didn't want to talk, so we ran there in silence.

  We finally arrived to the clearing and we both changed back into our human form.

  I saw Tyler leaning against the tree in the shadows with a smirk on his face.

  ""Uh Stephan.

  You can go now, I'm fine.

  I just want to lay down here alone for a couple minutes.

  Then I will head back to the house.

  "" I said to Stephan.

  Remembering the plan he nodded.

  ""Are you sure you'll be fine?"" ""Ya.

  Just go.

  "" I laughed.

  He sighed, but laughed after.

  ""Okay.

  Call me if you need anything.

  See ya later Sky!"" He called out as he walked back towards the house.

  ""I will!"" I yelled after him.

  I sat down and just laid there.

  After a couple of minutes to make sure Stephan was gone Tyler made his appearance along with about 20 other men.

  ""Ahh.

  There's my beautiful mate.

  "" Tyler said with a smug grin on his ugly face.

  Oh how I just wanted to smack off that grin.

  ""Ugh.

  Lets just leave before anyone finds us asshole.

  "" I said with a blank expression.

  But the truth was, I'm completely dying on the inside.

  I miss Axel, Mark, Caleb, Stephan, Elyse, my brothers, my parents, everyone! I'm never gonna see them ever again.

  ""Don't call me names princess!"" ""I can call you whatever I want jerk!"" He took a step forward but then froze.

  Tyler let out the most vicious growl I have ever heard from him.

  ""I thought I told you to come alone Skylar!"" Tyler growled out through gritted teeth.

  I tilted me head in confusion.

  ""No one came with me.

  I left-"" but I was cut off by another growl and it wasn't from Tyler's side.

  I paused and slowly turned around.

  I froze when I saw the person, or should I say mob of people standing behind me.

  And let me tell you, they don't look very happy""¦"

  "Chapter 31: This means war

  Skylar

  I saw Axel standing there with about 40 guards including Stephan, Mark, and Caleb.

  ""Axel""¦.

  uh.

  Wh-what are y-you doing here?"" I asked stuttering.

  ""Oh you know.

  Just bringing you back home where you belong.

  "" He said nonchalantly.

  ""She belongs with me!"" Tyler joined in yelling.

  ""I don't think so.

  "" ""I don't want you getting hurt Axel.

  And Tyler said he would leave everyone alone if I just went with him.

  "" I said pleadingly.

  ""Sorry Skylar.

  I love you too much to let you go.

  "" Axel said with a smile.

  ""Well guess what.

  She's coming home with me!"" Tyler said taking step towards me.

  ""No!"" Axel shouted as he and everyone else ran towards me.

  I turned around and ran towards Axel.

  I jumped into his arms and he held me tight as if he let go I would suddenly disappear.

  ""Never do that again princess.

  Please promise me that.

  "" He asked me scared.

  ""I'm sorry.

  I just thought it would be easier and a war between the 2 packs wouldn't break out.

  And I promise I won't do something like this ever again.

  "" I said smiling kissing him lovingly.

  ""Aww isn't that sweet.

  Now if you would be so kind as to give her back.

  I finally have the chance and here you are ruining it AGAIN! So please be so kind and give her back too me.

  "" Tyler said growling viciously.

  ""Over my dead body.

  "" Axel growled back putting me behind me.

  About 5 guards all came over to me and surrounded me in the middle of all of them with Axel, Mark, and Caleb in front of me.

  ""That can be arranged.

  "" Tyler said with a smirk before shifting into his brown wolf and lunging for Axel.

  The guards grabbed me and threw me behind them when Axel, Jake, and Max shifted into their wolves and ran towards Tyler.

  ""˜Go home Skylar.

  Now!' Axel yelled through our mind-link.

  ""˜Hell to the no!' I shouted back.

  ""˜Now!' He growled.

  ""˜Why?!'""˜Because you are not staying her when this war is going on.

  That's why!' He was ripping Tyler's men to pieces, making his way to him.

  ""Oh ya? Watch me!"" I yelled out loud.

  I was trying to make my way through the guards but they kept stopping me.

  ""Luna stop! You can't, we have direct orders to bring you home!"" Stephan yelled over all the fighting.

  There were so many howls and growling that you could barely hear anything.

  ""I'm not leaving him! I'm leaving any of you guys!"" I yelled back so he could hear.

  ""You can't.

  I'm sorry, but we could not stand for you to get hurt.

  "" He said with sad eyes.

  ""˜Faith? A little help here!' I pleaded to my wolf.

  ""˜I'm on it.

  I'm not leaving our mate!' She said back.

  Determination laced her voice.

  ""Get off of us now!"" Faith said coming forward.

  Instantly all the guards flinched back, but they were still surrounding us.

  ""Crap.

  Her wolf came forward.

  Faith, please.

  Axel doesn't want you guys getting hurt.

  "" Stephan pleaded.

  ""˜Please don't hurt them.

  ' I asked my wolf.

  ""˜I won't.

  They are only doing their job, but they are not making me leave.

  ' She said back calmly.

  ""No.

  I'm staying here.

  "" She said to the guards.

  Another started talking.

  ""Please Luna.

  We don't want you to get hurt.

  "" ""I'm not going-"" I was cut off by a sharp pain in my right shoulder.

  I hissed in pain and fell to the ground.

  All the guards instinctively came closer to me growling and searching around to see what caused me pain.

  ""Axel!"" Faith yelled.

  I stood up and ran between 2 guards that were too busy looking
around.

  I saw a wolf on top of Axel biting into his shoulder, and I snapped.

  I growled and shifted into mid air, and knocked over the wolf.

  I bit into its neck hard and threw it into a tree.

  Its lifeless body sliding back down.

  All I saw was red, Faith was out for blood, and so was I.

  ""˜Hey sis.

  Did ya miss us?' I heard Carter say.

  I stop and look to my right.

  I see Carter, Spencer, Austin, their mates, my parents, Amber, Elyse, and Axel's parents along with some others from both of our packs.

  ""˜The girls won't leave.

  They said they were going to fight no matter what.

  We even tried to put them under house arrest.

  ' He said laughing.

  ""Guys!' I yelled and ran over to them.

  ""˜Come on.

  Lets kick some ass!' I yelled.

  I howled and all of our guards shifted and ran along side of me.

  It was a bloody bath right now.

  A tan colored wolf came barreling towards me.

  I sidestepped it and went after it.

  While I was focused on that one, I didn't see another wolf that tackled me to the ground.

  I didn't know if the ""˜No killing Skylar rule' still applied, but I wasn't taking any chances.

  He bit down on my shoulder and I howled in pain.

  Well, that got someone's attention.

  Because the next thing I know, I see a very pissed off pitch black wolf slamming into the side of the wolf that was on top of me.

  Thankyou Axel, I said to myself.

  Axel let out a growl before clamping his teeth down onto the wolf's neck and killing it instantly.

  The tan wolf charged at Axel, but I tripped it before he could get to him.

  I bit its neck throwing to who knows where.

  I felt something, or should I saw someone nudge my side and I quickly turned around and got into an attacking position.

  I stood up straight though when I saw it was just Axel.

  I jumped on top of him and licked his face.

  ""˜Ew!' He laughed.

  ""˜Thank you for saving me.

  ' I said.

  ""˜You're welcome kitten.

  Now can you please go back to the house so I know your safe?'""˜Nope.

  ' I said getting off of him.

  He growled in annoyance.

  ""˜I'm not leaving you Axel.

  So you better get used to it real quick.

  '""˜Ugh fine.

  Just stay close to me then.

  You're not leaving my sight.

  ' He growled in his alpha voice.

  I nodded and we both ran towards Tyler.

  But of course, his stupid men keep getting in the way.

  Axel and I were surrounded by about 6 wolves.

  But thanks to Carter and Austin, we took them out.

  It only cost us a bite to my leg, a kick to Axel's side, a bite to Carter's leg, and a bite to Austin's shoulder.

  When I looked up, I saw Tyler leaning up against the tree in human form.

  Thank the Lord he is wearing shorts! He was just leaning up against the tree with a smirk on his face watching the entire battle.

  I growled and he looked right at me with a smug smile that I so desperately wanted to punch off his face.

  ""There's my little Skylar.

  Enjoying the battle that you caused.

  I told you, if you just came to me willingly, this would've never happened.

  But no, you just had to disobey my orders.

  "" All of us growled and ran towards him.

  I jumped over the guards and lunged at him.

  A light brown wolf tackled me before I had the chance to pounce on him.

  He pinned me under him and bit left shoulder.

  I yelped in pain and heard Tyler chuckle.

  ""You wouldn't have gotten hurt as well you know Skylar.

  "" He leaned down and grabbed me by the fur on the back of my neck.

  The wolf got off of me and stood beside me.

  I growled and thrashed about, but stopped suddenly when he placed a knife against my neck.

  I whimpered when he pressed it against my throat.

  ""One move, and you're dead.

  "" He growled in my ear.

  ""Stop!"" He yelled.

  Everyone stopped and turned to see who said stop.

  Axel's eyes fell on my and he growled and took a step forward.

  ""Don't move, or I kill her!"" Axel stopped and shifted back into his human form.

  ""Put.

  Her.

  Down.

  "" He growled out to Tyler.

  Tyler laughed and shook his head.

  ""I don't think so.

  Everyone leave and pretend this never happened, and no one gets killed.

  "" ""Leave her alone Tyler.

  "" ""No.

  She is mine.

  "" ""She is MINE!"" Axel growled possessively.

  ""She is MY mate and belongs to ME!"" ""AH, that's where you're wrong.

  She has belonged to me ever since we were little.

  "" Tyler laughed evilly.

  Axel took a step forward and Tyler pressed the knife harder against my throat.

  I yelped and Axel froze.

  ""Skylar.

  "" He said with a sad voice.

  ""˜I love you Axel.

  Always remember that.

  I love you forever and always.

  ' I said through our mind-link.

  ""˜No Skylar.

  No, don't give up.

  I love you way to much to not fight for you.

  I will kill Tyler and we will live happily together.

  Please stay with me.

  Come on, you can do it.

  '""˜Axel it's over! Tyler won, please just go back so none of you get hurt.

  "Chapter 32: Don't leave us ever again

  Skylar

  All I saw was black.

  It was so dark, and I didn't like it.

  I felt so out of place.

  ""˜Where am I?' I asked myself.

  ""Why isn't she waking up?!"" I heard a strong, sexy voice say.

  I instantly recognized that voice as Axel.

  ""She needs to wake up!"" I believe that was Carter.

  ""Please.

  She's been out for 3 days!"" I heard a women cry.

  ""She's gonna be okay Sophia.

  "" I think that was my dad.

  ""Please everyone.

  Go in the waiting room.

  I need to do some more tests as to why she isn't waking up.

  "" ""I'm not leaving my mate.

  "" The sexy voice said again.

  Okay now in pretty sure that's Axel.

  ""˜Dumbass.

  ' Faith said.

  ""˜Oh shut it.

  ' I growled at her.

  At least I know I'm not dead which I am soo thankful for.

  ""Please Alpha Axel.

  She will be fine.

  "" ""I'm not leaving her doc.

  "" ""But-""""I'm not repeating myself!"" Axel's voice echoed.

  ""O-okay.

  "" I felt a pinch on my arm and I winced.

  ""I'm gonna go run her blood again too see if I missed anything.

  I'll be back in 10 minutes.

  "" I heard the door close and I relaxed.

  What's happening? What's going on? I don't remember anything.

  I don't remember where I'm at.

  I was so lost in my thought I didn't realized someone climbed into my bed and pulled me close.

  The person put my head on their chest and wrapped me up into their arms.

  I froze, but once I felt the familiar tingles and sparks, I visibly relaxed.

  ""Skylar.

  Please wake up.

  I need you, I love
you.

  Tyler is dead.

  After you pushed your father out of the way and took that blow for him, I snapped.

  You were on the ground and he was about to bite you neck.

  I lost it.

  "" He paused and I heard him sniffle.

  He continued though.

  ""I grabbed him by the neck and slammed him in the ground.

  I ripped him to shreds, then I stayed close to you for the rest of the fight.

  Now you're here at the doctors.

  Please wake up.

  You're finally safe now, come on Sky.

  You can't leave me.

  Te necesito.

  "" He pulled me closer and I heard him crying.

  I wanted to hold him so badly.

  But I couldn't move.

  After a couple moments, I finally found some strength.

  I think being next to Axel helped a lot.

  ""A-Axel?"" My voice was dry.

  And my throat felt like it was on fire.

  ""Skylar?"" He asked in disbelief.

  I turned my head and opened my eyes slowly.

  I saw Axel laying there next to me with wide eyes.

  ""You're awake.

  "" His shocked face turned into a huge smile and held me tighter.

  He buried his face into my neck and inhaled deeply.

  ""Can I have a water?"" I asked softly.

  My throat was so dry that my normal voice wasn't there.

  ""Of course!"" He shot out from the bed and ran out the door.

  A minute later he ran back into the room and came over by me.

  I started to sit up and reach for the cup, but he growled and I stopped.

  ""Don't.

  "" He said sternly.

  I nodded and he put the cup on the table next to me bed, and climbed in with me.

  He sat down and picked me, then he put me in between his legs.

  I leaned into his touch and let my back go against his chest.

  He reached for the water and held it up to my lips.

  He tilted it for me so I could get a drink and I finished the entire glass.

  He put the glass on the table and wrapped his arms around my waist and pulls me closer to him.

  ""How are you feeling?"" He asked me softly.

  ""Okay I guess.

  My body just hurts a lot.

  "" I replied quietly.

  He chuckled.

  ""Ya, it's gonna for a while.

  Do you remember anything?"" ""The last thing I remember is Tyler running into me right as I pushed my father out of the way.

  Then the rest of it is a blur.

  "" ""Your father was very thankful.

  But he told me that he would rather get killed than you.

  "" I shocked my head and laughed.

  ""It's the other way around for me.
